ok so what if, like, a long-lost heir to the human throne has been raised by and lives with a group of bandits. He was kidnapped when he was young, so he doesn't remember it, and the bandits never got their ransom for him, so they just sort of adopted him and raised him and hey, he turned out to be a natural.
however, when he was young he used to play with the now-eleven king. the bandits decide to rob the royal elven family, and since the elf king recognizes his human friend (because elves have good memory, and they take longer to age so he wasn't quite as young then) he sort of plays along and gets himself kidnapped as well. however, he doesn't realize that instead of his queen taking over, an old enemy does, so he needs to get back as soon as possible. to do this he needs to make the long-lost heir remember that he was the human prince and also remember his old play-mate.
merr that was more elaborate than planned but whateves. and im always up for a good ol' demonXangel

"Get up, pretty boy, we're gonna get rich today," a gruff Orc murmured to the sleeping prince. Brightness was suddenly forced on him as the Orc-- one of many he lived with-- but this one was his father, Tollor.
"How ever did you have a son so fair. You're so ugly," he muttered as he woke, which earned him a slap with such force he was knocked off his cot. He chuckled, getting up from the floor. His bright blue eyes narrowed as they adjusted, and his father seemed oblivious to him as he jumped on his back for a tussle. It was not a good idea, as Tollor wasn't actually taken by surprise, and simply tossed him to the side. Lukas landed with an oof. Okay, maybe it hadn't been such a great idea in the morning; it seemed like he won these fights more when he was littler.
His father turned to him. "As I was saying, we're attacking the royal elven family today, so get your things ready," he huffed. Lukas blinked. It settled in quickly that his father was being serious about this. What...? Really? The royal family? It seemed like a terrible idea... So that's why they'd been traveling in an odd direction lately. He'd figured there'd been some reason they'd left behind the Dwarven villages. He thought it was because his Dwarven brothers were angry about stealing from their own, but apparently that wasn't all of it.
Lukas protested, "This is a bad--" His father's look silenced him. He sighed, knowing his response would be "Then don't come." when he really didn't have a choice.
///
Lukas unsheathed his dagger. His face and his dirty blonde hair were both smeared with mud to help him hide in the dark. He held his hand out to quiet the few behind him. He would lead an ambush from the back as the others went to create a distraction at the front gates. He slipped through, knocking out the unsuspecting elven guards. He often didn't kill unless he had to-- robbery was one charge, murder was another story.
He also didn't want to let anyone see him and escape because he'd rather not let the royal family know they were being attacked so soon. He needed time to get to their quarters so they could escort him to the valuables. He motioned for his company to follow as they snuck down the corridors, following a rough map that had been provided by an elven insider for a small sum of money.

glad you caught onto the arranged marriage thing cx i was thinking it'd either have to be that or he was just bisexual (or both) }}
Lukas cursed when he heard someone calling for help, and he was really hoping it wasn't the king, but that was what it sounded like. For an elf, he was a young king, but he wasn't incompetent-- he assumed from what gossip the bandits regularly collected-- especially in fighting. Well, if it wasn't the king, Lukas and his group could just attack and then run and hope no other guards saw them in that time period. If it was the king... well, they wouldn't have much time anyway.
Lukas hestitated. "We'll have to do something about him. You lot get ready to run. I'll deal with him," he told them, his companions seeming reluctant about the orders. If this failed, it would mean lots of planning and resources down the drain.
He crept towards the source of the calls, peering around the corner. Oh, it indeed is the king. Just my luck. He hissed, rounding the corner with his dagger out. "Put that sword down, your royal highness. I'd hate to have to kill you," he threatened, but part of him knew he was going to be stretching himself past his limits if he tried to fight the king.

His vainer side was angry that he had to meet the king so suddenly. He'd been planning on washing the mud off of his face before they met. Then again, the mud wasn't too dry yet. He used his free right arm to rub most of it off, only some smudged lines remained, though getting it out of his hair would've been another story.
"Don't elves have great hearing with those pointed ears? You lot haven't impressed me yet," he replied, smirking. He was guessing the more he talked, the less time he would have, so he decided to advance now while the king still wasn't sure of where he was. "Don't even try calling guards here! I'll kill them, too!" he shouted, running forward but keeping close to the wall.

Erm, that was a good question. Then again, he didn't like having his bluffs called out. "I don't kill pointlessly. It's a waste and it's dangerous," he answered. However, now it would have a point. If guards did come, he doubted he'd be able to fight them so easily as he had when he'd ambushed the two guards he'd knocked out.
Struck with an idea, he slowed down. If he fought the king at close range he'd definitely lose (seeing as a dagger was no match for a sword.) However, they wouldn't be able to continue with the robbery, but he might still be able to salvage some of the riches. He could kidnap the king and they could try to get ransom. In fact, it'd be a pretty healthy sum considering, well, it was the king, right?
"This isn't a threat, but don't duck," he shouted a split second before he threw his dagger with deadly aim, though he was only aiming for the king's side so he would be maimed and not killed.

He could hear guards coming, so he had to hurry. "You can keep the dagger," he joked. He grabbed the King's sword before he put an arm around the king's waist, pulling him into a standing position. "Please don't make me carry you. It won't be fun for either of us," he advised. With his left arm holding the sword up in case any guards caught them and his right holding the king, he began to make his way towards the exit. He shouted for someone to come help him, and a dwarf emerged to help carry the king as well, allowing them to hobble towards the exit a little faster.

"I'd be happy to take it out, ya highness," the dwarf replied. Dwarves weren't exactly known for being fond of the elves. In fact, everyone knew the two species hated eachother.
Lukas snickered. "Unfortunately, we can't kill him. We have to take him back and hold him hostage," he informed his friend Gosnog. Right. His totally fool-proof plan.
It seemed like it was taking forever to get to the exit, but seeing as the king wasn't making much attempt to protest, they were actually making good time for having to carry someone who couldn't walk on his own.

"Don't worry, my king. They've got all your guards up in the front by causing a ruckus," he boasted. "Well, I guess you aren't my king, really," he murmured in thought.
As he got closer to the door, an Orc came to greet them. Lukas and the dwarf stepped back as the Orc picked Celi up with ease. Lukas was then free to keep them safe from the back, watching for guards. They weren't close, but should they get closer, he would have a sword and be ready to fight. "What's your name, king? I never bothered to learn it, you see?" he called back to him. "You're just 'the young elven king' everywhere else," he snickered.

Lukas chuckled. There weren't many guards coming, so he turned around and instead focused on getting them out faster than trying to stay facing the halls to fight. He did a short curtsy at the king. "Celi? I am Lukas Fjelsted," he replied. "At your service."
