I am being booted off this site and to either a Windows 7 optimizer ad, and another Optonline Survey-both of which I know are fake! I cleaned my registry and ran my spyware program yesterday and today its happening again. Anyone else having this problem?

I got bumped off earlier when I was on my Chromebook to a page talking about my facebook prize or something. Like I don't use facebook anymore. I was forced to turn adblocker on.

Whenever you come across ads like these, try to report to ProBoards immediately.

Whenever you come across ads like these, try to report to ProBoards immediately. How do we do this? I'll be happy to report every one that does this to me. I was looking all over for aplace to report this but could not find it.

"ProBoards does not allow these kinds of ads. In case this is a particular ad that slipped past PB, you can press CTRL-ALT-R when the ad appears to report it."
Quite frankly, I ran out of patience for Proboards. They say there are no pop-up ads, or annoying ads, or ads with sound, and when I didn't have adblock enabled for this site they continuously proved that to be false. So I'd just say screw what they say, get adblock. Nothing happens if you use it, just a dumb message that their ads are not bad, in which case you scoff and continue using adblock.

Have you checked your browser extensions? Chrome, Firefox, etc. I haven't run into any of those things before (I had adblock off for several days not too long ago). Not saying it isn't proboards' fault, but you should check your extensions to see if something was installed by a 3rd party.
I stopped using chrome bc of all the 3rd party extensions it allowed in. If you see a shifty extension that wasn't installed by you, it may be causing the problem.

For so long I did not have this issue. It has not happened on my laptop which runs Win10. But on my desktop its is not just a pop up ad but an actual redirection where it punts me off Proboards and to these other websites. I usually can back arrow and get off them but this is not your average annoying pop up that comes up over the site. It takes me to a completely different website.

I'll check the settings again, and if I have to rn the regisry cleaner again. On this Surface Pro I use Chrome. . .and so far it has not happened today so you may have a good point.

Report to ProBoardsSo proboards has a page that is linked to your personal account. It has about 12 minutes worth of memory; according to pro boards, you look for the "Link" where the page you were at had the add occur, then click the blue report button. This way they can trace back to what add was present during that specific page.

I've got that before and did the report thing. After a little (and a few more times) it stopped all together. Hasn't happened for a couple of months now. It just used to bump be off the site and I'd have to go back. So I've had the same thing, Phantom.

I haven't been booted off yet, but I have had my anti-virus wares screaming at me every once in a while for the ads. Usually one or two times a week. I just have to close all the pboards tabs and reload and everything's a-okay, but it was probably the redirect ads it was blocking.

In lecture right now- But if you are having trouble with the link I suggest directly reporting to pro boards.
Delete internet history and cookies, ads may base on that. But do report to proboard

I cannot report these intrusive things that knock me off the Proboards site to their website. there are no ads listed to report! Somethingis hijacking this site using it to get to my computer. What do I do to STOP this? It appears to ONLY be the Proboards site this is happening on and I am on Mozilla waterfox browser.

try using extensions like ghostery instead of adblock. you can block specific trackers from that and it's really helpful. i know that sometimes proboards will ban you from all their forums or something for using adblock on their sites, but yeah i guess you can slip by using ghostery.

Just returned home from lecture, and boy am I grateful for a small no rain period. It made my drive smooth, despite the winds almost tossing all of us off road. Looking through Proboards, they don't follow the traditional "Contact Us" services. Contact Us This does allow you to send in a ticket, but they don't have any reason involving "Ads" "links" "Bait clicks" They do have a support forum though! Using your normal account you post a thread there and wait for support to reply/other people to hit the band wagon for the same issue. By clicking CTRL + ALT + R it should open up the Ad report, or in my case refresh, and sent in an automatic whatever it did? More info on this thread!Lastly the Ad Report! Ad ReportThis does not have the ad, it simply keeps tabs of what/which forums you have accessed in the last 12 minutes. (or more) This is the most vaugue assistance you will get, but according to what is stated, you need to remember "Which page you were hoping to open" and report that link pertaining to the forum you were trying to access. So if you open OTD, and it happens in OTD. But you shortly after open a specific thread in OTD. You need to use the Ad Report, and fine the exact link that was opening OTD in general, because the ad should be on record under that link. This is all the known supports we have access too. I'm sorry I could not be more helpful, and I apologize for not replying sooner, but our professor has a strict policy on his lecture time.

I have No Trackers on both browsers. I reset my password and so far so good,. But I did get one of those things punting me out of a game on Chrome. . I am hopping recleaning the registry helped this time.

It happens all over the place-whether I an in the main Fan Fiction page , on a specific person's page, or just logging onto the site. The things punt me completely off the Boards sometimes when i am in the middle of typing a post response! It has even appeared as the browser loaded the tab for Warriors fan Fiction board. It is chaotic in the respect of figuring out what is triggering thee redirect off the proboards site to a completely different page. I have to back button to go back to proBoards. I wil go back to support and see what they say.

I actually just turned off my adblock and got a redirecting ad with audio, so it's definitely a fault on the ads PB is letting through.

Yep one of the things getting thru is with audio-that my computer tells microsoft it has a virus. . . I am in contact with Proboards getting help tho since it is happening on my other browser with oen of the ggames I play it may be something else, or a coincidence!
