Noisepaw woke up earlier than normal, but still had taken a while to leave the apprentices' den. The feeling in the air left them uncomfortable, bringing back the all-too-fresh memories of the storm they had gotten lost in. This time, there likely wouldn't be any kind cats out there to help keep them from freezing- no, there was no need to go down that line of thought. They just wouldn't run out of camp all on their own this time.
Dustsong had curled up and slept outside the leaders' den, feeling as though the dens themselves were not his place to rest. He had only moved from his spot once to fetch a piece of fresh-kill. He opened his eyes somewhat blearily from the best sleep he had in quite a while, but his ears flicked in distaste as he spotted the clouds gathering heavily in the distance and advancing towards the camp. Perhaps it was for the better he was temporarily taking shelter here.
Slatestorm was sitting guard at the camp entrance, occasionally eyeing Dustsong uneasily. How long had he been here? Another rogue being kept in camp? Whatever - it wasn't her place to stop it. She wrinkled her nose in distaste as she caught the smell of rain. It had been pretty stormy recently, hadn't it?

(I think it'll happen at a different time? Maybe to get some apprentice's battle scenes in we can have them come across a predator who's also been run out of its home by the flood?)
Cinderstorm rolled out of her nest and onto her paws. She slipped out of the den and stretched. Her fur stood on end as she took in the air around them. She glanced around. Some were up. Was it enough to get a patrol going out to hunt? She headed to the center and grabbed a piece of fresh-kill. It would get wet if they didn't eat it anyways, although she did bring something to Juniperfrost first. The queen had blinked up at her thankfully before returning to her nap. If/when it stormed, the kits would probably wake up and she wanted to get as much sleep as possible before then.

(Thornclover was sleeping in the warrior's den and is just now getting up.)
Thornclover blinked his eyes open. He had slept for a while and now he wanted to see if he could go on a patrol. When he opened his eyes he expected light to blind him, but it didn't. He meowed in confusement. It's supposed to be day time! I didn't sleep that long did I? He stood up and stretched his lazy limbs. He stepped carefully as to not wake the others. He padded out of the warrior's den. He hissed when he saw the billowing storm clouds heading straight for the camp. That's why light didn't blind me he thought. He looked around and saw that many other cats had the same expression on their faces. He decided to talk to Slatestorm. "That's a big storm coming." Thornclover hoped he sound ed not afraid.

(Oh shoot I thought we were doing the storm too. I mean, we can put it off?? But I won't be available during that time for the training session.. P:)
(Also yes I really want the Dark Forest to visit cats, it's just we haven't changed days in so long there was never a time to visit them when they were asleep, yknow?? Yes Pricklepaw is still in, I also really want to visit cloudypaw and Slatestorm as well. Just... Yeah nobody has been asleep.)

(According to the poll, people prefer the storm plot. So I'm going to go ahead with that just to get things moving.)
Cinderstorm glanced around for any warriors. Those who were up, she called out to. "Does anybody else want to come out with me for a hunt?" She glanced towards her apprentice. With the storm, they would need all the food they could get. She flicked her tail or Pricklepaw to join her as she waited for responses.

Smokepatch padded up to Cinderstorm, her tail raised in a friendly manner.
"I was just thinking of going out actually! I figured with this storm rolling in we might want to catch some food for when we'll be stuck in camp" she meowed, trying to make it sound like she had the clan's interest in mind when really she just knew Amberfang would be cranky being cooped up in camp. She comforted herself with the idea that Amberfang being happy was in the best interests of the clan.
(I would be more than happy to RP a quick dream between Cloudypaw and Iceflight!)

(Oops, I totally thought it said eastern time! (I'm on the west coast so it's a little confusing for me) Well, we can still definitely do the training session! There's plenty of cats left in camp- only 3 apprentices are going and there's 10 total, so still plenty of cats I think? BUT we did vote on doing the little mini storm thing so i think we should roll with that. We can't ask nido anyway since he's inactive, and it's not a major plot, just something to keep us interested. Within that vein of thinking though, I think Badgerheart and Ivypaw could do the training session?)
(Also, you planned the Trainign session after we had already decided to do the storm plot, so i think that's where the confusion lies. No reason why we can't do both at once though, but I'm gonna vote to keep going with the storm.)
(And yeah! More mature, confident Pricklepaw sounds great! :33)

(Actually I planned this training session like right after Nido left,it's so apprentices can gain a training session. But maybe the storm ends up interrupting, Starlingpaw would be involved, Batpaw would be too, and any other apprentices could, be, and then the storm strikes and maybe they learn more about fighting in the rain, I dunno, just a thought?) (Oh and when I quoted myself, that was kind of for a joke, because I honestly thought I might not have posted it, it was more of a reminder for me then anyone  . Thanks for understanding and I like the idea of a storm! Um, I also would like to appoint another momentary moderator until Nido returns, my candidates are Cinna, Winter Lynx, and Novice . I'm doing people I know who take charge, are interested, or have been here from page 1. If I didn't mention you, it doesn't mean you can't do it, I'm just listing who comes to mind first! ) |

(Anyone want to have their apprentices join in a large training section, lead by Shadestar? Srarlingpaw will be included, and it will be battle practice, a small tournament maybe?) No offense intended, Lynx, but i would say everyone has waited plenty. You suggested the training session over a week ago and no movements have been made to start it. Now that we have a different plot in mind and attempt to start it, i dont appreciate being called impatient. I am at times, but this was not one of them. And yes, i do now see that we have decided to try and incorporate both at the same time and that's fine, but i still feel like pointing this out as it was an uncalled for comment. I probably am the only one who is actually bothered by this, but im still going to say it. Edited in: it doesnt show the date like i thought it did. The suggestion was made thr 14th) |

(yeah, what i'm thinking is we can do a little training session to set the mood for the rest of their encounters, then do like a "this is what has happened to them because of their training" type thing? but Yes, let's do it!)
(Also Lynx I'm sorry, but the last time you mentioned the group training idea was over 20 pages ago, so naturally we moved on with plots. Coming in after we decided to do the storm and then saying we made plans on top of yours is not accurate. I'm going to have to agree with novice and, again, say that we can do both, but i don't think our original plot idea needs to be changed. )

Heronscale paced the clearing. Iceflight had told him to wait. Apparently they'd start really taking in recruits. He couldnt wait to sink his claws into real flesh. Although Darksand had forbid him from killing just yet. He wondered who the white she-cat had chosen.

Iceflight padded into the gloomy clearing, her white fur like a ghost as she settled among the pools of the dark forest floor. She pressed her front paw into the surface, focusing her energy on the hearts of the cats of Twilightclan. She beckoned to them- those forgotten, those outcasted, those with even a sliver of darkness in their hearts...
Tonight would be their first formal training session. Tonight, she would begin building her army for the coming war.
She lifted her eyes and watched the edge of the clearing expectantly, for when the confused cats would inevitably stumble into her vision. They would be drawn to her, and she would be waiting.

Heronscale's eyes narrowed as more cats came to watch. Or would they also be participating? He glanced towards Iceflight. The oldest cats were always the hardest to understand. He himself had been trained by her and yet he had no idea what was going on through her head. He was rather surprised by who arrived, but then again the dark forest normally preyed on the weak. Heronscale's beginning wasnt exactly brag-worthy either..

Blossomtail leaned intently forward to watch the trainees arrive. She wasn't certain if she herself would be allowed to partake, but she was definitely interested. She'd probably join the fray anyway, though of course holding back in battle - she had the feeling nothing would get her faded by her fellow Dark Forest cats faster than accidentally killing a potential warrior to their cause.
Slatestorm twitched her ear uncomfortably as she found herself in the Dark Forest once more. Even if it was a place of TwilightClan's ancestors, it still had a heavy sense of dread hanging over the whole forest. She felt eyes boring into her from every side - that was a new sensation. Were more cats here, aware of her presence?
She shook her head. There was no reason to be nervous, she was here to train. If she showed up to the training session shaking like a leaf, that would be pretty disappointing, huh?
