Once upon a time, a long time ago, in a place far away, I made a thread just like this on the original Harper Collins forums and it got taken down because they only allowed English even though it was never stated in the official rules
SO: I'm going to post a new thread here for those who wanna learn Japanese :'D this is just starting out, so there's not gonna be much here atm but... yeah : D My screen name is WolfRain but you guys can just call me nadis... lol I've been taking Japanese for 4 years (+1 year of independent study) and i'm also at the top of my class at the moment, so I'd consider that good enough for me to help people out a little bit and teach the very very basics of Japanese. So.. if you're interested in learning, comment below, or if you're interested in either becoming a tutor or pupil, then comment down below c: this thread will have alot more to it later on but yeah haha Form: Screen Name: Position (tutor or pupil): Japanese level/experience: Why you're joining (i'm curious c: ): Tutors: Pupils:

Screen Name: Stormsong~ Tutor I studied in Japan for 2 months, have hosted exhange students, and I do ESL work on the daily. I'm self taught for the most part, so I'll 頑張りますよ! My goal is to become the U.S Ambassedor to Japan, so I want to teach many people about the language and also improve my own own skills by learning through teaching.

Screen Name: Moonshine06 Position (tutor or pupil): Tutor Japanese level/experience: Currently, I am only in high school, taking JPN 2. However, I am quite advanced, if I may say so. I am completely self-taught in both hiragana and katakana, as well as some kanji as well. Why you're joining: Well, I love Japan. It's culture, history, and traditions; everything about it appeals to me. I want to travel there, of course, and I am working on my plans to study abroad in Tokyo, Kyoto, or Osaka someday.
Also: This is unrelated to language learning, but if anyone wants to talk to me about Japanese history (the Sengoku period*cough*), please do! I'm a huge rekijo - history buff - so I'd love to have someone to chat with about that! 招待してくれてありがとう。

Screen name: ~Young and Hopeless~ Position: both??? It really depends. I could teach an absolute beginner. Japanese level/experience: hmmmm, I'd like to think I'm an intermediate learner by now? How should I judge myself? What rating system are we using? I'm self-taught. Why you're joining: I like writing and communicating in Japanese. I want to go to Japan and teach English.
私は日本語を教えることができると思います。できることがほしいんです。残念ながら、多い漢字を読めません。
