"Well, a couple of the warriors suggested that we expand our territory, there's lots more land than we've claimed and it could have a lot of prey," Ashfall explained.

Flamestar paused for a moment, pondering the idea for a territorial expanse. "We could look into moving the borders." He said at last. "We should definitely look out for rogues, though. I obviously don't think we should expand too far until we have more cats or we may risk exhausting our warriors with just our routine border patrols."

"Yes, I could lead an exploration patrol to see what's going on outside of our borders," Ashfall suggested.

Pepplepaw padded back to the medicine lost in her thoughts.

"I will go too." Flamestar decided. "It will be better for me to base our actions off of things I've seen myself, not to mention that the presence of the clan leader would possibly make any rogues or loners more tempted to join. Seeing that the leader is willing to go out and work alongside their clanmates would show that we aren't some sort of fear-controlled group, but rather a group of cats working together to help each other."

"I agree, should we go out today or wait until tomorrow. I think some warriors are stillen a little shaken up by the fox attack, but I don't know if we need to wait around for them," Ashfall said, turning his head to look at all of the eligible warriors in camp.

"I think we could leave now." He meowed optimistically. "We could probably take Blazepelt and Firepool. I can leave Brackenclaw in charge while we're gone. We should be gone for a day at most."

"Yes, I was also thinking we should bring some of the apprentices, it could help to have them get to know the territory early," he commented.
Eaglepaw woke up from his nap, feeling a little refreshed. "Hey, Clooverleaf," he called. "My head still hurts, do you have anything for that."

(#clooverleaf. lol)
"You have a point, but we're going into unknown danger." Flamestar meowed. "We could possibly encounter something dangerous that the apprentices are too inexperienced to deal with. I'd rather them stay in camp safe then unnecessarily risk their lives exploring a bit of territory that they'd get to explore soon enough."

Pepplepaw entered the medicine den and waited to be seen by Cloverleaf.
Blazepelt sat in camp enjoying the day and the talk of his clanmates.
Firepool watched her father from afar. She had seen Pepplepaw enter camp still seeming distraught and wanted to know how they're conversation had went.

"Yes, I suppose we should only bring experienced warriors," he said, turning to where the warriors had been chatting. "I've talked to Flamestar about your idea to expand territory, and we've decided that we'l send a scouting patrol to see if any of the territory is worth claiming," he explained. "We're bringing Blazepelt and Firepool, so Brackenclaw will be in charge of camp until we're back. Any questions?"

"No," meowed Blazepelt as he climbed to his feet. He was a strong warrior who would protect his clan in unfamiliar territory.
Firepool jumped up excited. She was eager to explore new territory for her clan. However, she still wished to speak to Flamestar about his conversation with Pepplepaw.

Ashfall nodded as the patrol walked out of camp. He breathed in the forest air, and took a moment to enjoy his home.
Eaglepaw went outside to see the patrol leave camp. "Cloverleaf, I think my nap helped me out, can I get back to my duties?" he asked, hopefully.

Flamestar led the patrol to the border next to a small stream. The thin trail of water ran downhill, small dapples of light reflecting off of the ever flowing water. "Beyond here is unexplored territory." He reminded. "Keep a lookout for anything dangerous and try to identify any points in the territory that may prove crucial for the clan."

Blazepelt nodded as he looked around. He was observant and protective of his clanmates and did not want any cat getting hurt.
Firepool nodded at her father's command. Her mood had sobered as they approached the border and she was ready for a serious problem. She was also excited to see what lay unexplored outside their new borders.

Cloverleaf shook her head slowly, "No...I need to monitor your progress to recovering some more. And according to your mother you are not nearly fit yet." The tabby flicked her tail, "I'll give you a bit of feverfew for now, I don't know of many herbs besides that one that helps with headaches. If you begin to feel cold tell me." Cloverleaf nudged the herb towards Eaglepaw.

Eaglepaw chewed up the herb and swallowed it, wincing at the bitter taste. "Yuck, I guess I'll just go back to sleep, if I can't do anything else," he grunted.
Ashfall scented for any other animals that could pose a threat and smelled none. "So which direction should we go from here," he asked Flamestar.

"We should first determine where the edge of the forest is located." Flamestar decided. "From there we can figure out where we want the borders to be and know how far we can expand in this direction."

Leafwhisker stood up, moving away from where she had spoken to Ashfall and Blazepelt. She padded into the warriors' den, deciding a nap might be nice.

Blazepelt nodded. His father's idea was a perfectly logical place to start.
"Would you like me to scout ahead?" meowed Firepool.

Flamestar shook his head. "No, I think it would be better for us to all stay together in the event that we are attacked. Scouting ahead would leave you vulnerable to an attack or ambush."

Firepool nodded respectfully. Her speed made her a perfect scout, but this was unfamiliar territory.

(Yeah, I can make one.) |||Night||24 moons||she-cat||Rogue||Night is a sleek, pure black she-cat with white tail rings and ice blue eyes.||She is very deceptive and mysterious. Night has what one may call a superiority complex, and she only graces her rogue followers for discussion when she's planning her next attack on the nearby kittypets and loners in the forest.||Night was born a rogue, and become leader of a small group after killing their leader, and all of her opposers.||A strong fighter. She is very good at tricking others to get what she wants. She despises hunting, even though she's a terrific stalker, and has loners do it for her.||Leads a camp of rogues.||Swamp Queen||
Night sat and cleaned her paws as she waited for the loners to come back with their portion of food for the day. She jumped down from her perch on a tree and padded into the forest to see if she could find any loners and give them a beating for being late. Some of her rogue followers went after her, knowing that she didn't like to wait.

Ashfall nodded, knowing that countless unknown dangers could exist in unknown territories.
Night came to a halt at the sight of a group of cats. She dropped into a crouch and growled, "Is this some new family of loners?" she wondered. "Too big for my taste, I might have to kill one or two to keep them from being too powerful, might a well inform them about, sharing their prey first." She strode of the undergrowth, with her rogues undertow. "I see you've found your way onto my territory," she began. "I'd like to just inform you of a couple of...policies we have here."

Flamestar whirled around to see a black she-cat, behind her an assembly of rogues. He listened to her smooth words, not letting her deceitful voice disguise the meaning behind her words. The orange tom felt his neck fur bristle as she mentioned 'policies.' He forced himself to calm down, as to seem polite and not anger the she-cat. A fight was the last thing they needed. "My apologies for our intrusion." Flamestar meowed. "We had no idea that we were trespassing and were only exploring."
