hello! I'm relatively new (i was on the Official warrior cats site, as "marching band") but i realized they got shut down or something? Does anyone know why that is? But anyways! I don't know if any of my past friends have migrated over her, but hello! I'd love to make some friends!

Their official reason was something like how they couldn't keep up with the rapidly changing technology or whatever.
My guess is that HarperCollins no longer had any interest in supporting the community, not to mention the fact that a lot of members had gotten rather out of control during the last six months of the forums' lifespan. There were a lot of fights, and people had a bone to pick with HC for a lot of the ridiculous rules they started implementing.
But fortunately we still have this community. Welcome back! I hope you stay a while~

Dᴀɴɴʏ Pʜᴀɴᴛᴏᴍ Oh okay, I see. My guess is the fights were about sexuality or something like that, considering HC is actually (sadly) against it I think? -` gumi ´- .✫ 🐾 People were just being really snappy and rude in general. You couldn't even make a topic in OTD without someone going off on you by the end of the WCF's lifespan.

-` gumi ´- .✫ 🐾 Yeah unfortunately a lot of the hostility drove a lot of the good people away for a while. It got so bad during the summer of 2016 that a lot of people (including myself) found OTD to be virtually unusuable due to the amount of "saltiness and edginess" there. I'm glad that the whole "salty" fad seems to have died down.

Dᴀɴɴʏ Pʜᴀɴᴛᴏᴍ I agree. I'm glad there's the new forums. And hopefully these will end up being the official ones. After all, I love how it's a lot like the very old forums. They're mixed with the new ones. Like... the 2010 version with the most recent they deleted. I enjoy these.
