Literacy;;
We are an advanced roleplay, and we have worked hard to make it such! Please treat it as an advanced clan. We are hoping for at least one strong paragraph. We know everyone has an off day, but just let us know. One liners should not become often, and are discouraged.
Activity;;
Please don't hit and run (join and then never roleplay). You will be given 2 weeks to come back (excluding you have given us valid reason), but afterwards, your claimed characters and created characters will be removed.
Once active in the RP, please try to reply at least every 2-4 days. It isn't fair to occupy someone's character for too long, with little to no action!
Powerplaying etc.;;
Godmodding, Mary sues/Gary stus, spotlighting, Flawless, Perfect, powerplaying, etc will not be tolerated here. We are hoping for as much description as possible, so one shot kills can be disappointing to your partner. Also, you may not kill a cat without the owner's permission.
Respect;;
Please be kind to the other forum members. It would be a shame for this Clan to be deleted, or if someone's feelings were to get hurt. If you have a problem with someone, please try to work it out away from the clan!
Kit ____ling;;
Please do not steal, style, etc. our kits here. The posts will be ignored before reported for spam.
Spam;;
No advertising here. However, "________ come back to _______" is ok. (Otherwise known as summoning.)
Plots;;
Don't be afraid to create a small plot that will not affect others negatively (crushes, etc.). However, larger plots such as fox attacks, border crossings, etc., must be ran by an admin first.
Realism;;
Please do not have anyone like Marysue. Marysue has gumdrop eyes and rainbow fur, and claws the size of trees. Please. No. Stop. We all know what a cat looks like. Right? Good. Don't stray too far from that.
Claiming;;
Claim as many characters as you can handle, and no more. The limit to the number of cats in the allegiances is double the original starter (created) cats. (This does not pertain to leader, deputy, med cat, or med cat apprentice.) (Warriors: 16, Apprentices: 8, Queens: 4, Kits: 8, Elders: 6).
Separators;;
Please use //, }}, )), ;;, etc. when talking OOC.
UmbraClan resides in the heart of the jungle. Their lush territory is littered with thick undergrowth and beautiful roots, however, they don't spend much of their time on the forest floor. They consider themselves the rulers of the treetops, deftly leaping through the tangled, tropical canopy. This is considered their real territory.
The camp of UmbraClan sits sturdily above the weaving branches of many broadleaf trees. It is so well-hidden in the depths of the canopy that most of SteppeClan and MonsoonClan have yet to discover it. To reach this obscured place, the cats of UmbraClan leap up the buttress roots and branches of various trees, and have created clawholds in the bark of these trees. This is why apprentices must first leave the camp on their mentor's back. It is essential that the first thing they learn is how to enter and leave the camp.
The leader's den is composed of woven branches covered in leaves that form a roomy area. The floor is covered in broadleaves, and moss makes a comfortable nest.
The deputy sleeps with their loyal warriors in the warrior's den. This den is humongous, and can hold nearly all of the clan in dire situations. Like most of the dens in UmbraClan's camp, it is hidden inside of a tree. The floor is covered in the feathers of their prey and downy moss.
The apprentices den is inside a considerably smaller hole, sharing its space with that of the nursery. Lichen serves as a "door" to their sleeping area. Near the corner of their den is a hole big enough for many cats to wriggle through, and it leads to the nursery.
The nursery shares their tree with the apprentices, but their side is relatively larger for the kits that it holds. Feathers and vines line the walls of this den to make for a comfortable home, and the unbelievably soft moss is changed every day.
The medicine cat has the largest tree in camp. Their workspace is built for royalty. Cubbies were clawed into the bark of their tree by cats long ago, and make for the perfect herb storage. Their den may not have a pool of water, but carefully woven leaf baskets hold water from the nearby waterfall and river. Sick or injured clanmates have pre-made nests built for them, and they sit in a quiet corner of the den. The medicine cat and their apprentice sleep in a smaller tree to the right of this area.
And last but not least, the elders. Their den is a bit different, being composed of sturdy Walking Palm roots. The stilt-like roots are woven together to create an unbreakable den, and the floor is soft to soothe the pads of the retired.
The camp itself is almost completely sheltered by the rain because of the branches and thick leaves of the tropical forest creating a natural barrier. Sunlight, when it is present, often shines through this barrier though. The camp is further hidden by a wall of bracken and broadleaf.
Landmarks include..
Boa Waterfall - This beautiful waterfall is quite small, only reaching about 17 ft above the forest floor. However, it is cherished, and medicine cats gather their water here. A river reaches below Boa Waterfall and runs across the heart of UmbraClan territory.
Boa River - The river that originates in Boa Waterfall, snakes across UmbraClan territory.
Tree of Souls - A place where the deceased are buried. A large and beautiful, yet old tree with roots that spread out seemingly forever. This tree is fabled as the place where their ancestor first gathered. It is set on neutral ground, and all thee clans bury their clanmates here.
