Interesting ritual vibes you're getting there o:
It sounds like quite an experience. I'm looking into something that I'm experiencing at the moment, so I might require some help with that later...
Anyway - haunted house stories. It's really quite long, but I've been thinking about this recently since my cousin brought it up the last time I saw him. We have some really interesting conversations, him and I. He has a very strange was of seeing some things, so he's very interesting to talk to. The first story happened to my mum and one of her friends, and the second story happened to my cousin and I.
Ok, so my mum lived in the same house all her life, until she met my dad and they moved in together. Her parents (my grandparents) continued to live in the house for many more years. It's important to know that my grandparents built the house. No-one lived there before them. Anyway, one night when mum was young, 12, I think, she woke up in the middle of the night and saw what she describes as a 'blue lady' standing in her doorway. She says she didn't feel threatened in any way, but simply lay there until the lady backed up and disappeared. Mum never told anyone, but she believed - and still does - that she saw a ghost. Years pass and mum and later my grandparents move out, and one of mums best friends and her husband move into the house.
Then, about five years ago, some of the friends's friends from England had come over to visit and were staying in the spare room in the house. By this point, mum had told her friend about seeing the blue lady, but had sworn her friend to secrecy. Mum had been introduced to English friend, but they hadn't;t spend more than two minutes together.
Then, one day, English friend comes out of the spare room and asked regular friend if anyone else had seen the blue lady. Friend freaked out and called mum, who then admitted to seeing the lady when she was young.
So, in short, two people who had never spoken (one of them from halfway around the world) saw the same ghost in the same house. Definitely a spirit lingering around that house. A couple of other weird things have happened there, but nothing as significant as that.
I also believe my cousins old house was haunted. In short, that house was just wrong. For starters, it was always cold, and their dog wouldn't even walk past the master bedroom. Anyway, whenever we would visit them, we'd sometimes stay the night. My brother would sleep on the floor in the younger cousins room and I would sleep on the lounge in the older cousins room. and everything about that room was weird. Everyone I know who has ever slept in there has had trouble falling asleep and had very vivid dreams when they did. There was a floorboard on the front deck right under the window that would creak whenever someone stepped on it, and it would make weird sounds all night long. Everyone in my family and a lot of friends who went there has admitted to feeling weird/unsettled/generally unsafe while in that house, particularly in the ground floor where my cousins room was. Said cousin brought it up the last time I saw him and asked if anyone had ever felt strange in that house, or was it just him. We all agreed.
Nevertheless, we were glad when they moved out. I just think its too much of a coincidence that upwards of fifteen people have all admitted to feeling like there was something else in the house without conferring with anyone else.
So I definitely believe spirits/ghosts haunt specific places. Has anyone else had similar experiences?
