UmbraClan's Fate: The Elemental Prophecy
Synopsis:
The tree cats of UmbraClan are sure they are safe in their territory aboveground, but they couldn't be more wrong. In the shadows lurks a danger they never imagined, and their fate looms nearer and nearer as the night of the glowing water approaches. Featherheart, the loyal medicine cat, is one of the only cats aware of this fate, when she receives a prophecy depicting the only way to save her clan:
Danger looms in the horizon; waiting for the light within the water to awaken. Beware the changing of time. Only mortal elements will have the chance to prevent the impending doom of the clan. Keep them close, for they are the only prevention UmbraClan can depend on.
UmbraClan
UmbraClan lives among the treetops in a great sequoia forest. They eat mostly birds and squirrels, but occasionally they eat mice and other creatures on the forest floor.
UmbraClan cats are stubborn and a bit aggressive at times. They are very adventurous as well. They are fond of shadows and trees, because they hide them from creatures below, so that they can drop down from the sky to kill their enemies.
Leader: Nettlestar- a black she-cat with strange blue eyes. Nettlefrost has a small, lithe form with nimble paws and a long, slightly fluffy tail. The tips of her fur are white and gray. Nettlefrost is a strict cat who tends to stick to the warrior code to the best of her abilities, though, on occasion, she will break it to do something she feels is important. She can be a little bitter sometimes, especially when she is jealous.
Deputy: Raintail- a dark gray tom with light blue eyes and white paws. Raintail is a bit flighty at times, but he is a loyal warrior and a fair deputy. He is a bit of a wanderer, though, something he and his brother Needletail have in common. Raintail had a troublesome apprenticeship filled with nightmares and dark visions, and he predicted the future now coming upon them without even realising it.
Medicine Cat: Featherblossom- a silver she-cat with amber eyes and white ears and paws and tail tip. She is very serious about her work, and she often sees things as either black or white.
Warriors:
Whitetail- a gray she-cat with a white tail and light blue eyes. (currently expecting kits)
Dewleaf- a gray tom with a white tail and light blue eyes. He has darker gray classic tabby markings. (Whitetail's littermate)

Chapter One: Sunkit
"Hey, lazy bones! Get up!"
What? Sunkit felt a prodding against his side, and wiggled away from it, letting out a low mewl of discomfort. He slowly stood on shaky paws, struggling to open his eyes. They had first opened last night, and they were still a bit sticky.
Sunkit looked up, meeting the gaze of a brown kit much larger than him. He looked around, noticing the sun's rays filtering in through the leaves that covered the nursery's entrance.
The small, ginger kit let out a yawn, his tiny muzzle gaping. "I'm up, I'm up," he muttered before Mudkit could utter another word.
"Great!" exclaimed the older kit, his amber eyes wide with excitement, "Now I can show you around camp! Flyingkit is already out there with Icekit and Birdkit. I decided we could have some tom time."
Sunkit tipped his head, about to ask what 'tom time' was, but he was pushed out the den entrance before a squeak could come out of his throat.
"Be careful!" his mother called from within the tree hollow.
The tiny ginger kit was quickly whisked away across the branches by the eager three-moon-old, confused as to what the rush was, but he didn't strike out. After all, he was excited to see camp.
As the two reached the wide branches of the clearing, Sunkit's eyes widened until they were bright balls in his skull. He had never seen such big, powerful cats, all sharing tongues and prey around the branches. They varied in colour and size, though they were all dark, save for a few lighter pelts. Sunkit's denmate, Icekit, stood out among the clusters as she showed his sister around, her white pelt making her quite the oddity.
There were huge hollows in the massive trees that surrounded him, and Sunkit wondered if they were dens.
Sunkit bounded to the edge of the wide, sturdy branch that connected to the nursery, crouching near the end and peering down into the world below.
The young kit gasped, scrabbling backwards for a moment. Quickly, his curiousity got the better of him, and he slowly creeped forward again.
It was amazing! Huge trunks towered around him, leaving almost no room for light on the forest floor so far below.
I wonder what's down there! Sunkit squinted, trying to catch a glimpse of the strange brown and green masses far below. Maybe those are ground branches, he mused.
So lost in his gaping, the ginger kit had been left behind by Mudkit, who quickly turned impatiently to snap at him.
"Come on, Slowkit, before your jaw falls off!" the brown tom rushed, already halfway across the clearing.
Sunkit quickly shut his maw, his pelt hot with embarrassment. He quickly took off after the older kit, but not before he cast a longing glance at the ground once more. He struggled to keep up with his denmate, his short legs slowing him down. Maybe I'm Slowkit for now, but I'll make sure I'm the fastest warrior in UmbraClan someday! he thought proudly, And maybe I'll get to see the ground too.
