(Sure! Hi Holly! ^^)
Katherine walked through the Selected hallway, remembering her own time in one of these rooms. The queen looked around, wondering where all the girls were; she hadn't seen a lot of them around lately. I hope they start to leave their rooms a bit... There's so much to see in this castle.

(Sorry I disappeared guys... busy day. It's all good, Blossom ^^ I totally get it.) Quinn propped herself up on one elbow and looked at Gil with a gentle smile on her face and her green eyes glimmered with happiness and... there might have even been a little love in there. "Of course I'd brag about you, silly." She said softly, yet the smile never left her features. "Why wouldn't I? You're funny, honest, handsome," She poked his side on the last one, although she was hardly joking. "And just... just an awesome human being in general." Jaden laughed. "I can't say I can relate, although I can only imagine how... mystical these halls must look." The butler continued up the stairs, hoping he was right and no one else would be up there. Why would they? "If you ever get the chance, watch them at sunset. How the dim light reflects off the marble creates these beautiful reflections that'll melt into the shadows up by the corners... It's truly splendid to watch. Something you wouldn't normally consider beautiful." Hazel raised an eyebrow at Jaden's back. "Spoken like a true poet. You may have missed your calling, sir." That was a joke, of course. Why be a Four--or was it a Five?--and a poor, lonely poet when you could be a well-paid and well-fed butler in the stinking palace? Even Hazel, who loved her art more than almost anything else, would be sorely tempted to work here as a maid. But his words did strike her as strangely poetic. And thoughtful, for a man, which was stranger still. People didn't talk like that, not out loud, and very few of the people who did were boys. Boys just...didn't seem to care as much, about the subtle things, the beauty in the secret places. I wonder if Prince Andy is at all like his butler. Wouldn't that be interesting?

(Yes, I have Crystal free. Speaking of which, are we gonna say the time when Andy showed Crystal the ballroom's piano didn't happen or did happen? I dot care either way, I just want to make sure we're on the same page.)
(Also! Why would there be drama with Jaden and Hazel? You're trying to get my baby in trouble!!!! Lol.)

Andy stared in horror at his sister as she knocked on one of the doors and sauntered off. As she walked away Andy momentarily contemplated running away, at full speed, but the more responsible side of him took over. No, he was going to have to go on a date with one of them soon. He'd been given a free card from the entire nation the last few weeks due to the terrorist-rebel attacks in Likely, the province next door to Angeles. It had been a nightmare for him and his father - long nights, extra security details, more meetings. It had all just begun to settle, too, so that's why King Charles was egging his son to start going on dates with the "extraordinary young women" being housed on the guest floor.
That's why Andy stood there, slightly terrified, waiting for the mystery girl to open the door. Andy had seen Gil date girls throughout his life, this would be no different. He steeled himself and waited for the girl, hopefully inside, to open the door.

Crystal had been reading in her room. She had been trying to struggle through her "homework" for the better part of the day, but finally decided it was time to take a break. It wasn't worth crying over. Not that she was exactly that much of a wimp to cry over the work, especially the fairly basic work they were doing at this point, but she was tired and lonely and homesick, and the past weeks had been both intimidating and frightening due to the attacks, and it all seemed to have caught up with her today.
She glanced up curiously from her chair when somebody knocked on the door. Hazel usually just came right in, and so did her maids. She untangled herself from the chair and approached the door, book still in hand.
She certainly hadn't been expecting to find His Royal Highness himself on the other side. In an instant, Crystal's blue eyes were approximately the size of saucers, and she fought to keep her wits about her. "Y--your Highness." She managed a curtsey. "I--um--may I help you?" She signed inwardly. Can I help you? Really? How did Hazel talk to people so easily?

Andy was used to seeing people being astounded when they saw him - he remembered, quite clearly, when the Davenports went to Whites for Christmas and took him with them. Andy's mother and sister had been in Italy celebrating a wedding and Andy's father had buried himself in work while he missed his wife and daughter. The King had told Andy, who was sixteen at the time, to go with the Davenports and celebrate the holiday with them in Whites since Charles didn't have much Christmas spirit that year. So, Andy went with the Davenports for the holiday and to keep Gil company. One, Whites had been freezing. Andy had no idea how Gil and his father were fine in the cold. Andy had become close friends with Mrs Davenport on that trip while Gil went out to hurl snowballs at his little cousins in winter gear that gave them the appearance of marshmallows. Two, Whites was the province least visited by the royal family. Whites was secluded and rugged and unpopulated - only researchers, military, and sailors lived in Whites, even during the summer. So, needless to say, Andy had been somewhat of a novelty.
Still, it was uncomfortable to see Lady Crystal staring at him and looking flustered. She was in the running to be his wife - did she really have to look so shocked? Taking in mind that Crystal was the first girl he'd officially sought for alone time with, he pushed down his annoyance. "Lady Crystal," Andy greeted. "I was wondering if you'd like to accompany me on a walk on the grounds, if you aren't too busy." He nodded at Crystal's book. Andy loved to read; it was a shame he didn't get enough free time to do it. But no - he was eighteen. His parents hadn't even given him a day of adulthood, no. His eighteenth birthday, December 25th, Christmas, had been the day the girls were announced. January first, they arrived. Again, he swallowed his annoyance. It wasn't this girl's fault that all his time was sucked up by mundane little things.

Crystal's eyebrows rose slightly. Was he asking her on a date? Did a walk around the grounds count as a date?
She glanced down at her book and felt her cheeks flushed a little. She moved the book behind her pale green skirts. It was a romance novel. Pretty much every book she read was a romance novel, or a fantastical adventure, something she felt she couldn't experience herself. "I--would be honored, your highness. Um." She reached over and laid her book on her nightstand. She looked back to him, trying to at least fake confidence. I can do this. I can do this.

I was wondering that even if Delaney is a four, that I could be allowed to have her play an instrument; perhaps the violin?

(I think Delaney could play the violin! It would even be a interest conflict for her, since she would like it but can't play it as a career. Just an idea for drama.)

I think she said yes, we have been talking since then. We are also talking about it in person tomorrow after school. I like love triangles, but there's also the fact that I'm still getting used to roleplaying. The stableboy would work because they both like horses, so yeah. You can make one if you want, Holly ]]

(Hey guys sorry I've been gone! YES i think we should have a little bit of running-into with Jaden/Hazel and Quinn/Gil, just to spice things up a little > ) Quinn leaned forward to meet Gil, closing her eyes briefly and leaning into the kiss. She pulled away. "And I forgot to mention you're a great kisser." The Selected whispered teasingly, her eyes sparkling before she leaned back in, her hand going to his hair for a moment. Jaden laughed. "A poet?" He shook his head as they reached the eerily empty hallway; there were no guards up here, except the occasional rounds to make sure that no one had sneaked in and was living here. The maids and butlers didn't clean it, so it looked practically untouched for those eighty-some years. "I do like to write." The butler conceded, beginning to walk down the hall. "Songs, some short stories... But not poetry." He chuckled.

(Well, best of luck to you, Bean! Anyway, let me get a glance at Charlotte's profile, and then I'll come up with a stableboy for you.) (Ha ha, okay, okay. Trouble, here we come! ) It was a good time of day to be up in an abandoned hallway. The angle of the sun shining through the windows lit up the dust layering everything so that it almost looked like gold flecks instead. Hazel almost didn't want to walk down the hallway for fear of ruining the illusion of stillness and quiet. But that was silly, so she shook her head and followed Jaden's guidance. "Songs are poetry," she reasoned. "The only difference is that they're set to music, which really--" she paused to shift the art supplies in her arms again-- "is a more impressive accomplishment than just writing poetry itself. Stories are a little different, but no less of a feat, really, when done well. But I digress. Look at this place! How long did you say it's been since someone lived here?"

Gil laughed against her lips when she mentioned he was a great kisser. Normally he would have some cocky reply, something along the lines of I've had some practice. But then again, it would've been a comment Andy or a coworker would enjoy and laugh to, probably not Quinn. He was thankful for Quinn kissing him again so he didn't say something entirely stupid. When her hand went to his hair he tugged her down to his level and shifted so she was partially underneath him, his free hand going to her hair as well. ~~ Yes, Andy was asking Crystal on a date. His first date. God, this was new and terrifying for him, but he figured Crystal would be able to tell her children - maybe their children, he had a fleeting thought - that she had been the King's first ever date.
Andy had not caught the title of Crystal's book, he just simply stood in the doorway while The Selected placed it down. When she met him in the hall, he offered her his arm. "Now, I have to ask you, for my sake, look like I'm an expert and this whole date thing, for the cameras. I wouldn't like the headlines to read 'Baby Prince's first date is a disaster as seen on Lady Crystal's face.'" He snorted; Andy was joking, but he had one of those strange humors when it was sometimes hard to tell, but he did confess that she was his first legit date. "I'm not entirely sure what you like to do, I know you wrote you played instruments and your father is a musician. What do you play?" He asked conversationally, trying for anything.

Oh. He wanted her to take his arm? He must, or else why would he be standing like that? Honestly, Crystal. You always wanted to be a princess, and now's the chance to act like one. Keep it together, keep it together...he won't bite, after all. So she laid her hand carefully on her arm and let him lead her down the hall. His comment made her smile, though she didn't let herself laugh any louder than a small exhalation. Still, she tried to pull her features into a mild and pleasant expression, since he had asked so politely for her not to make him look foolish. She was trying to think of a proper response to that when he asked her about her father and music. "I play the piano, Your Highness."
