Fel smiled, leaning back, jumping back forward when she hit the guard's legs, which gave her an idea. "So, you work with a ton of handsome, well-built guards," she reached behind her to pat Gil's leg, "so regale us with your number one person you'd die to end up with." Fel obviously had no idea this would be a sensitive question especially with Roberta. Obviously, this wasn't Fel's intention to make an awkward situation, but Fel honestly had no clue.

(Awww noooooooooo)
Quinn smiled sheepishly and looked at Roberta, wondering what the maid would say. She was sure that the maids gossiped about the guards just as much as she did with her friends about the cute boys at school.

That's it. She was ready to die, her life was over. She couldn't hide the flush beginning to creep up her cheeks and her mind blanked for a moment. Trying to parry the question, she leaned back and smiled sheepishly, "Well, it you'd asked me a week ago, I probably would have said Giselle. Who wouldn't want to be next to one of the most beautiful stars around?" She prayed they didn't pry why further, that answer was humiliating enough as it is.

Annndd that was the sound of any dream of a chance with Fel dissolving into dust. And she couldn't even feel upset about it, it wasn't Fel's fault that this whole situation had arisen. At least she hadn't pressed for any more details. Faking a smile, she looked around the circle before fastening her eyes on Hazel, "Hazel, your turn. Truth or dare?"

(Sorry for the poof, everyone! I had to go to work! And besides, we're all too attached to the name "Robfel" to let it go now! Ha ha. I like how we've developed our own mini fandom within a fandom...)
Hazel and Crystal shared a worried look when Officer Davenport--whom Hazel had already decided to say was her long-lost brother, her cousin, her ex-husband, she'd change the answer every time someone asked, just for her amusement--invited himself to the party. Alexander himself wasn't invited, and it sounded borderline illegal for Gil to be just hanging out with them. It would raise a lot of suspicions. But the other girls had accepted him, and maybe it would look less questionable if there were a lot of Selected there instead of just one... There was nothing to be done about it. At least he was nice--even if he did make a tragically ugly girl.
Hazel grinned and kicked her feet. "Hmm... Let's go with dare."

Charles sat quietly for a moment after nodding in approval of Alex's more self-assured tone. "I am always more than happy to give you advice, son," he began. "But I think you're asking the wrong question. The Selection is a process, not an event. Eliminations will be important, of course, but you're less than twenty-four hours in, and so far the only thing you seem to be concerned with is getting rid of the girls rather than getting to know them." He studied the boy's face for a moment, struck again by the thought of how young he was. "Don't be so concerned with sending girls home that you forget that the one who remains will be your wife for life." Young and calculating. Not cold-hearted, but not necessarily open and inviting either. Was he ready for this Selection? Had they pushed it on him too soon?
