So what if that was the same in the wizarding world and they have to get vaccines when they travel but what if someone didn't get that and traveled around the world for the summer so they contracted the disease and brought it back to everyone else?) IT'S AMAZING ISN'T IT? IT'S COMING TO THE UK BUT THE TICKETS ARE RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE…so…uh…I won't be seeing it  Okay, I kind of like that. That makes it work as a disease as well, so it's all good with what Cosmic said in the plot summary] |

[[ i think it's a good idea that Lyra, Ryker, Ingrid and Kaitlyn are suspects. as well as just checking their wands they could check everyone's at some point, and as one of those three get affected they can be 100% sure that it wasn't them or any student.
and i like Sweet's idea^^
i also think it should just be spreading throughout Hogwarts boundaries. which also means no Halfblood or muggle born students can leave for Christmas or anything (well actually no students would be able to because they may not have realized that purebloods don't get affected yet) and no one can visit because there is a chance they'll catch it.
also, i think there should be side effects. or things that occur after a few days - week of catching the disease. where they get really sick and they are desperately trying to discover a cure and there could be potential death and stuff

((Maybe some students could be affected more than others? I.e. some catch it and get really sick but others just lose their magic.
Maybe the muggleborns are the ones to get the most sick. Idk.))

[[ Shadow - i guess when they spread amongst the students. and yeah that's true. that's a good idea. or it could just affect some more than others, regardless of blood status. but the muggleborn idea would also be good. @ Fire - the teachers would probably come at an unexpected time because they know Ryker's attitude. and it isn't always the most recent spell - im pretty sure they can find out all spells recently used by a wand with complex magic.
