There's a room where the light won't find you, holding hands while the walls come tumbling down.
The room you wake up in feels void of warmth; cold stone floors and walls, a draft coming in from a small, grimy barred window at the top of the room. This was not the bed you fell asleep in the night before. Senses flood you. Confusion, dread, worry, fear. One day, you had settled into familiar sheets after a long day, and you woke up in a large empty school building. Noises could be heard, and they echoed down the dreary halls, and you soon find that you're not alone. In the large room, the twelve of you wake up, realizing you are now trapped together. Upon further exploration, you all come to realize every corner, every classroom and hallway, every provided bedroom, are full of both cameras and monitors alike. You are being watched. You all gather into a large classroom, with desks caked with dust, and the monitor balanced on the teacher's desk blinks with television static. A robotic monotone voice rings out.
"Stuck in this school building are twelve of you. This building contains three floors, including basement level, with a dining hall, numerous classrooms, closets, twelve bedrooms, bathrooms, recreational rooms, a gymnasium, a pool, and a greenhouse. Among the group are three murderers. Discover and kill the three, and you will be let free. If the three remain hidden and kill the rest of the group, they instead will be let free.
Every 48 hours, one person will die. Good luck."
Hello, and welcome! If you couldn't already tell, this is a murder-mystery roleplay, somewhat based off of the game Danganronpa. As said above, the setting is twelve of our characters have been somehow kidnapped, and are now trapped together in a large school building, with murderers among the group. Depending on the amount of people who join, one person can have up to two characters. The goal is simple. They either expose the murderers, and the remaining living teens escape, or the murderers exterminate the rest and escape themselves. Every 48 hours, one character will have been murdered, and their death is displayed on the monitors all around the school. It's the groups job to try and figure out the murderers before it's too late. Sounds pretty simple.

RULES:
1. Follow the new forum rules! I would really appreciate if this thread wasn't deleted. Keep it PG-13 at most. 2. Please be literate! No one-liners, or two-liners either. Sorry to be strict, but I expect at least a paragraph (five or more sentences) for replies. 3. No godmodding, power playing, mary-sues, etc etc. Give your characters some good ol' flaws. You know the drill. 4. Be active! This roleplay requires that people are on and active, so I would appreciate if you post at least three to four times a week. 5. This roleplay is LGBT+ friendly. I feel the need to clarify this since some people don't think the same. Roleplays should always be safe spaces for everyone, especially when expressing their characters. 6. As said above, keep this around PG-13 at most. This roleplay will have character deaths and some violence, but please do not go into detail. You can discuss with whoever you're rping with if you'd like to continue in PMs, but please remember that there are young teens here as well. Thanks.

KEY:
Name in White = Murderer Name in Red = Known Murderer Name Struck Out = Deceased
CHARACTERS:
Cecilia Montgomery; 19; Female; venus { Cecilia is a tall, imposing and intimidating woman to most. 5'11", with olive skin, and long dark hair with bangs ending right above her eyebrows. Her face is made up of sharp edges; a strong jaw, high sharp cheekbones, with dramatic dark thick eyebrows and a more pointed nose. Her eyes are a light shade of brown, almost piercing in a sense, and dark circles color the skin around them from the lack of sleep she gets. She's usually seen wearing dark clothes. Turtleneck sweaters, dark jeans, really anything long sleeve that covers her skin. { Pragmatic, inquisitive, and blunt are a few words to describe Cecilia. She's a realist, and does her best to manipulate, control and analyze a situation to figure out an outcome. Very level headed, and a critical thinker. Cecilia is smart, succinct, and usually persuasive. She knows how to find what makes people tick. Some may find her useful and intelligent, others find her a threat or someone not to be trusted. Either way, the girl knows her stuff. She can be very standoffish to most people, but when it comes to people she cares about, she would go to the ends of the Earth to protect them.
Ramona Rodriguez; 18; Female; venus { Ramona is a small girl, fresh out of her teens and barely reaching 5'1". Her skin is a dark tan shade, and heavily freckled from days spent in the sun. Ramona's hair is a mass of fluffy, poofy curls, a wild mess that never seems to be brushed, and hangs down her back and over her shoulders. Behind messy bangs, her eyes are large, and a brown-green hazel color. She has a "ski-jump" nose, curvy plump lips, and an oval shaped face. Ramona usually wears any t-shirt with jean shorts, and sneakers. She seems to prefer the color green, though. { Eccentric and bubbly, Ramona is almost bursting with positive personality. She doesn't seem to have a mean bone in her body, and wouldn't hurt a fly. Ramona is the 'mom friend,' and concerns herself over others before thinking of her own well-being. Whether it comes to friends, or acquaintances, or even strangers, Ramona wouldn't think twice about helping someone. She's a generally happy person, and is very enthusiastic about music and gardening. The girl has a natural green thumb, and can grow practically anything.
Gwendolyn Foster; 20 ; Female ; jingle bell { A graceful, lithe little thing she is. So small, she practically dances as she moves. Her hair could fall thick around her shoulders, and soften her angular face, but she pulls it tight in a butterfly clip, and ensures each stray piece is tucked tidily behind her ear. Her smiles hardly reach her eyes, eyes that are a steely blue, practically silver, and her lips are thin, always seeming pursed in disappointment. Her skin is fair, but not pale, and she has a few freckles dusted across her nose. Her makeup skills are nothing notable, but she does wear a small amount of mascara to make her lashes look fuller. Maybe the only lipstick-lesbian thing about the woman. Between her boot-cut jeans, and tight white tanktop, she looks like a trucker that does ballet on the side. { Foster is a strong silent type, not because she doesn't have an opinion, simply because she assumed those around her are too dumb to understand. And she's not one for explaining herself more than once. Gwen watches the crowd, and takes her mental notes, and keeps to herself as much as possible. She's anything but happy about being pulled from her studies to be dropped in with a bunch of idgits for some sort of twisted game. She'd rather murder than the ring leader than try to figure out who's dropping the rest of them like flies. She couldn't care less about the others. She had finals to take, and a doctorate to get. { Gwen was a scholar and dedicated her entire life to her studies. An aerospace engineer with big plans. She'd help build the first off-earth base camp for the new world. Seeing as humans were ruining the first planet at a rapid pace, she knew space was their only chance of continuing the species. She worked with environmental professionals to test ecosystems that were self-contained and could host a large amount of people and animals. She worked with genetic engineers who created bacteria that could eat waste and eliminate pollution. She was your every day super hero... or so she saw it that way. Gwen could be arrogant.. with the right intentions!! Really she wanted to save the world, even though she wasn't very fond of most people. A wide scale genocide never sounded like a bad idea when she heard about global warming or animal extinction. Humans were a parasite, but Gwen wanted a family one day. She wanted her kids' kids' kids to survive. To flourish. So she'd make sure she studied hard, and became a renowned engineer and scientist. Walk like a dancer, look like a trucker, think like a professor. That's all Gwen.
Alaina Aldaine; 19; Female; woofles { Alaina stands definitely taller than most at nearly 6'0, with skin that of a light bronze. Her hair is a dusty brown, with darker shades streaking throughout it and is cut into a pixie cut, of which is styled in a side fringe that sweeps to the left and ends just by her chin, framing her face more appropriately. Her eyes are a ice cold blue, standing out strikingly against her tan skin, which gives her quite the glare when she feels inclined to give one; if she's not already giving you one by default. With a sharp jawline and defined cheekbones, her appearance seems quite brash, though not entirely noticeable until looked upon with closer inspection, light freckles do in fact dot across her nose and cheeks, just a shade darker than that of her skin; seemingly softening her features by a great deal. { Alaina is the type of woman that would either become your best friend, or your mortal enemy. So it's best to avoid the latter. She's a fond friend of sarcasm and witty remarks, not afraid to let a joke or two go. She feels strongly about her views and opinions, leading her to be rather stubborn at times. If not the majority of the time. Though then again, maybe that's not the worst thing. However much she seems to be like a storm cloud on a bad day at a first impression, she indeed has a softer time, seen evidently slipping through at times, or when her compassion gets the best of her. She's as loyal to heart as one can get, and would in fact give her life for those she deems her friends - which doesn't happen often, however, as her trust is hard to get and rarely given out with ease. Though once she does view you as a friend and companion, count on it she'd stick with you through thick and thin. { Being an only child to a rather wealthy family, Alaina was secluded most of her life, and went to a private school, where she had very minimal friends due to her standoffish nature and trust of which was rarely given out. She worked hard, achieved good grades, studied well - not to say she enjoyed it at all. Of which she did not. Which led to her running away straight as she hit the ripe age of 18, before her parents could even contemplate sending her to some college to waste away the next few years of her youth striving for some job she didn't want, but they thought was best for her. Cliche movie plot-like as it was, she didn't care. She rented an apartment with the money she had 'borrowed' from her parents, and stayed low for a while, before finally getting a job as a barmaid at a local pub. It wasn't the best, and was on a whole different level to what formerly was, but she liked it. It was a simple life. And yet, she always still strived for more, something she felt she was lacking. An adventure of sorts, something out of the ordinary. And now I guess, you could say, her wish was granted. She bears a light Romanian accent, having been born and raised there before she and her family moved to Britain; it is not heavy, but it is definitely evident with the pronunciation of her words. She's a lesbian, and isn't shy about that fact or telling it to others; especially since her parents were the type to shun such 'unadulterated behaviour', which truthfully, led her to embrace it more in her ignorant days of youth.
