"I'm sure we will," Crow replied to Ember before turning and leading the way out of the den. He paused outside the entrance, letting his eyes adjust to the brightness of the snow again and waiting for Rinako and Lynx to join him. "This way," he meowed, flicking his tail for the others to follow once they were outside as well, and took off through the snow towards the boulder pile.

(not a bad plan. More the kits could start opening their eyes soon though. Snow had already opened his eyes but only very briefly. I could have him wake up again)
Crow slowed as he neared the spot he was headed, not wanting to scare off potential prey with noise. He paused by the edge of the trees that formed the small clearing around the boulder pile, signalling for Rinako and Lynx to be quiet. He surveyed the boulder pile, then turned to the black tom.
"If you stay on the bare side of the rocks where there's not much snow, your pelt should blend in better and it'll be easier for you to hunt while you practice your crouch and stalking," he meowed. "Do you know how to hunt at all or do I have to teach you everything?"

Gender: Male
Age: 15 moons
Appearance: Reddish-ginger short-furred tom with amber eyes and a lean build; he has long legs and has quick reflexes.
Personality: he is kind, brave and self-less tom, who puts others before himself; he can also be stubborn and when he makes up his mind, its hard to change it. however, he thinks every cat deserves a second chance and can be a bit to trustfully toward strangers.
Mate: none
Kits: none
Other Kin: he remembers having siblings, but they went there seperate ways after leaving their old twoleg and he doesnt know if their still alive or not.
History: asher and his siblings ran away from their twoleg after something happened. asher himself cant remember why they did, only that something had happened. (he was still a kit then and his mind completely blocked the memory.)
Other Notes: asher's real name is red, but after tripping and getting covered in ash once, his siblings started calling him asher and it stuck.

(Sounds good. I'll go ahead and throw this here so I have another character to work with) Name: Jingle Gender: female Age: 18 moons Appearance: Snowshoe shecat with blue eyes. Her fur is light brown, with a darker brown tail, legs, ears, and face. Her feet are white as well as her chest and snout. She wears a light blue collar that matches her eyes. Personality: A bit timid, but warms up to other felines fairly quickly. She is more or less of a social butterfly. Her life as a kittypet has made her reluctant to do whatever she isn't obligated to, just short of laziness. She doesn't spend much time on the ground for fear of predators; she tends to stay in trees whenever she isn't hunting. Mate: nope Kits: nawp Other Kin: zip History (optional): She was a kittypet until her owner tossed her out, no longer leaving food for her or letting her back inside. Eventually she had to leave the neighborhood and find her way in the forest, where she taught herself to hunt but quickly gained respect for the dangers of the wild. As a result, she gained a habit of tree-climbing. She used to have a jingle bell on her collar, but as she began her new life in the forest she soon realized that the bell affected her ability to hunt so she tore it off. Other Notes: nur |

(Ahhh Silv were you in front of the den Ember was in? Somehow I missed that earlier :l no worries, a response is on the way!!)
Ember was grooming the nearest kit, waiting for the hunters to return, when suddenly an unfamiliar cat scent washed over her and she heard a stranger's voice. Her head snapped up and her fur bristled, fearing for the kits' safety. "Who are you?" she growled, amber eyes trained towards the stranger at the entrance.

At the sound of this strange cat's voice, Squirrel's curiosity got the better of her, and she peeked around Ember's leg. Although her eyesight was still not fully developed, she could make out a blue-gray shape where she knew the intruder to be. Still cautious, she stayed back, observing intently.

Ember narrowed her eyes at Rain. She didn't seem to be aggressive, and she wasn't anyone that Ember recognized...maybe she shouldn't try to drive her off. Though she didn't want this stranger to come close to the kits just yet. "I'm called Ember." she replied. "What brings you here?"

"Hmm...maybe you could stay. But it's not for me to decide." Ember said, vaguely referring to Crow. It was then that she realized she was starting to view the tom more and more like a leader, as time passed living with this jumbled group of felines. Perhaps it couldn't hurt to add another. "Perhaps you can make yourself comfortable for now." she added, gesturing with her tail to the expanse of the den.

Rain shook her head.
"Yeah, that's fine." She paused, choosing her words carefully, before starting.
"I used to live with my mate, a few day's travel from here. We were content there for a while, living off of fish and mice from the forest. But one night, a fox got in the den. My mate told me to run, but he stayed. He... He died that night. After that, I was travelling for a while. I made friends with a few cats, but then one of them drowned, and the other was killed by a dog." Rain took a deep breath. "I hope I can make a new start with you, because... Well, to sum it up, I have bad luck..."
