Losami continued staring at the cubs, even when the white tom, Crow, began to shift their mother's body away. They were both so tiny and beautiful. This all was so strange! She'd never seen cubs so small, and cats of so many different colors, other than brown. Her green gaze flickered back over to Crow, sympathy gleaming in her eyes. The big she-cat cleared her throat and rose into a sitting position. "I'm sorry for your loss. Cubs so young don't deserve to lose their mother." She mewed silently. This was the first time she'd actually spoke. Her voice had a thick accent, something that'd be foreign to these cats. And Losami knew better than any cat for the reaction Midnight and Natalie gave.
"I may not be able to produce milk for these cubs, but I can promise to do all I can to help out." Losami's own mother hadn't been there for her while she was young. Her mother'd left the face of the earth as soon as she was old enough to eat real prey. Though Losami didn't remember much of her. "May your sister's spirit travel safely to The Land of the Lost."

(Idk I was kind of lurking to see if anyone else would reply since Crow and therefore Ember is stuck until they do something. And they didn't so I liked their posts. And then was giving it a few minutes to see.
Edit: Alright, there's one.)
Crow gazed at the lynx for a moment, surprised by the sincerity in her tone. Then he dipped his head. "Thank you. I do appreciate any help you can give, even if my... awkwardness around other cats makes it seem otherwise." He let out a sigh and flicked his tail, thinking for a heartbeat. "For now, keeping the foxes away and keeping the kits warm, safe, and fed is the most important thing. The rest is up to fate," he meowed rather bitterly, thinking back to how small and weak each of the kits was. Even with Ember's milk, they would be lucky to all survive, especially after being deprived of warmth and milk for as long as they already had been. He was surprised none of them had quite yet succumbed.

Solace nodded, listening to the instructions carefully, eyeing the other cats warily, wanting to keep his siblings close by. The russet colored tom nudged Viola gently, knowing it was scary for the two to not live with no-furs. They where downright terrified, he was well aware of that. "Alright." He mewed, studying Crow carefully. He couldn't help but feel bad for him, the kits where so young, he was lucky to find a Queen willing to help.

"If you want to get started on that.... probably somewhere over there by the trees would be best," Crow meowed, flicking his tail towards the edge of the oak's branches, where other trees crowded the edge of the clearing. It would be easiest to dig there once they got past the snow, as the oak's roots didn't quite extend that far, and nor did the other trees'. "We have to make sure to dig into the soil as well as snow, or predators will still be about to get to her. And once newleaf comes and the snow melts, well...." He figured he didn't need to finish that sentence.
Glancing over at the black and white tom who had volunteered to help earlier, Crow nodded. "Come in when you're ready, to help me carry her."

Ember rose to her feet and dipped her head towards Crow. "I will help carry her as well, if you'll allow me." She figured these cats weren't dangerous, as they weren't from any clan she recognized - or that would recognize her. It wasn't a job she wanted to do, but it seemed these cats needed the support.

Losami watched him go. Noting the bitterness in his voice. She felt sympathy for him. The lynx-cat knew this feeling for she'd felt it for a while in her younger life. After her mother had disappeared, Losami was against the world. Not even her father could help her get through with her pain. All she'd wanted to do was curl up and never wake up. But she couldn't she had to keep pushing on for her Father. And right now, that's what Crow had to do for his little nieces and nephews. Keep moving forward.
The big cat let out a sigh, letting her gaze drift around the clearing. Stopping on the two cubs not too far away. Losami felt excitement course through her at the sight. Older cubs! Just perfect for her to interact with. Cubs were so much better than cats. They weren't rude and they weren't able to chase you away. But Losami doubted that these cats would dare chase her away. She was so friendly. And Midnight said that some feared her because of her massive size. Though she could never willingly hurt anyone. She may have seemed intimidating, but Losami couldn't ever even hurt a fly.
Did they need help with their task? Perhaps not, Midnight would be annoyed if she interfered, according to him it was bad for her to make strangers friends. It was always best not to go there with the older tom. His temper was shorter than a lamb's tail. -----
Midnight hesitated, shifting his white paws on the frozen ground. He wasn't so good around kits, they just weren't his thing, unfortunately. Taking in a deep breath, Midnight padded after Crow looking down at the body. His sister was really a beautiful cat. The tom almost thought the she-cat looked peaceful in her posture, if only there weren't so much blood scent. Carefully, Midnight lifted the deceased body and waited for Crow to take the other side of her.
----- I'm going to head off for tonight, I'm getting pretty tired.

(alright. I'll probably go to bed pretty soon as well, it's nearly 2am here. But feel free to come and continue this tomorrow; I think we're off to a good start. Maybe a Clan actually will come of this after all XD )
"If you would like," Crow meowed to Ember, before retreating into the den to allow the black and white cat to pass. He helped lift Starling's body onto the other tom's shoulders before taking the weight of her flanks. The two cats slowly and carefully maneuvered her body out of the entrance and brought her over to where Solace and the two younger cats- who Crow could only assume were Solace's younger siblings- were digging her grave.

(Yeah, I'm definitely gonna come back to this page!)
Seeing that the two toms had the corpse under control, Ember set her attention to the den with the kits inside. "May I enter?"

"Yes, of course. I'm sure the kits will be very happy to see you," Crow replied as he passed her, his tone solemn and with a note of grief, emphasized by the body he carried on his shoulders. When they reached the grave a moment later, he gently slide Starling's haunches to the ground, carefully arranging her so that she would have been comfortable, and then turned to help Solace and the others with the grave.

A deep brown tabby tom watched Crow and Ember cautiously, his eyes narrowed. His muscles rippled beneath his pelt and he flicked his torn ear. His leaf green eyes flickered over the landscape and the jet-black she-cat next to him nudged him. "They're no harm, Falcon," she mewed, eyes slitted. "I'm not sure," he replied. "You never know with these, Unity." The she-cat sighed in exasperation and set her clear blue gaze on Falcon. "They're fine," she insisted, stepping out of the bushes. "Hello?" Falcon cursed under his breath and followed her. "Come back here, Unity!" he snapped.

Ember nodded and stepped inside the den. The stench of blood and death washed over her. It was revolting, but she grit her teeth and settled inside. She curled her body around the kits and tried to coax them towards her belly.

Crow looked up from the soil at his paws as another voice rang out across the clearing and two more cats entered. For a moment his eyes widened with surprise, but he quickly hid this and hopped out of the hole, padding over to greet the new cats. I guess I'm playing host today. Who would have thought this would have come of Starling's death? I hope she's watching. Probably laughing at how awkward I always am.
"Hello," Crow meowed, dipping his head to the newcomers. "What brings you here?"
----------
Two of the kits- a brown tabby she-cat and a white tom- immediately reacted to Ember's presence, quickly finding her belly and beginning to nurse. Another, a little gray tabby she-cat, took a moment, but once she started to warm up she quickly made her way towards the milk. The fourth kit- a brown tabby tom with a pelt so dark it was nearly black- had to be nudged into place, but he finally figured it out. The last, a minuscule black tom, hardly responded to Ember, and only the faint rise and fall of his sides indicated that the kit was even still alive.

Ember nuzzled the kits. Had she not caught their scent before, she wouldn't have stuck around; her tactic as of late was to stay as far from others as possible, as a rogue should.

She became concerned about the black kit when it wouldn't respond. She urgently nudged and coaxed it. Starclan, please don't let this one die.. she thought, having flashbacks to her own kits.

As he was prodded at, the black kit let out a tiny a mew. He suckled a little but then stopped.
(I think I'm gonna go to bed. Goodnight, see all of you tomorrow hopefully?)

(hey I'm here for the day)
Ember's licks helped to further warm the kit and improve his breathing and blood flow, and after a few minutes he seemed to perk up a bit. He let out a small yawn, and then began to nurse more vigorously. The other kits had finished by now and were curled at Ember's belly, fast asleep and seemingly comfortable.

Ember breathed a sigh of relief. She was glad she could help. This is so unlike me, she thought. Well, recent circumstances I guess...

Ember's fur bristled at the sight of the other cats, but she fought the urge to be aggressive. They aren't dangerous, she thought. ...and these aren't your kits. She tried to relax.
