Rinako trailed behind, looking around at the forest scenery. "Do you usually hunt things like this?" he asked to no one in particular.

Ember turned back to look at Rinako. "Well where I came from, we mostly ate smaller prey like mice and squirrels. This place is much different. I'd never tried deer before that one. And I've never heard of hunting owls before, they're competitors for our prey after all."

" Its not as hard ... We need two or three cats. We have one cat climb the tree the owl is living in and then we put prey down and wait for the owl to go for it " He explained.

He saw as Rankino hunted a mouse. The owl leaped out of the tree and Lynx leaped. He jumped at its left wing and it went into a tree before its neck snapped. It laid on the floor. " Anways it was aiming for you but Its dead and it sure smells good... I think it had eggs. Ill go check " He leaped back up and came back with an egg in his chest and throat

(I had stuff going on all day. I usually poof on Sundays for personal reasons)
Ember sniffed at the dead owl carefully. She had never eaten owl before. Meeting these strange cats had seemed to open her eyes to a world of new prey. Her belly rumbled. That's right, she hadn't eaten today. "I sure am."

He started to furnish through the feathers and finally reached bare skin of the owl before eating into it. The Owl had stuffed itself well and tasted of mice and voles.

Lynx realized she had kits and didn't want to be rude " Take the bedding. Those feathers are very comfy. And you can have the rest as I know you have kits and need energy more than I do " He mewed perkly. Passing the owl with his paw and putting the feather pile on her side with a rock on top so they didn't blow away.

Ember looked up at Lynx, surprised. "Thank you. You are very kind." she finished the owl and picked up the feathers. "Do you want to come back with us? Our den is warm." she asked with a muffled mew.

(hey guys I'm really sorry for vanishing but I just have not felt like dealing with the forums the past two weeks or so. I started back with classes and got kind of stressed, plus I was going through a bit of a depressive episode. Fortunately my larp this weekend seems to have managed to pull me out of that so hopefully I'm completely back now.)
