Character Name : Aylin Demaria Gender : Female Age : 20 Elemental/Commoner/Noble (Elemental)/ Noble (Normal) : Elemental Noble(Shadow) Physical Description : The first thing one would notice when meeting Aylin with her face uncovered would be her dark purple eyes and hair as black as the shadows she works with. Her skin is paler than a normal person but nowhere near approaching the levels of an ice elemental. Her’s being the result of time spent out of the sun rather than elemental ability. She stands at a modest 5’6 with a lithe frame that hides just how dangerous she can be when angered. Her clothing choice is simple yet elegant usually choosing to wear garments appropriate for her situation. She always wears a veil to hide her face, specifically her eyes, from others. The lie given being that she was badly burned as a child on her face. Only her closest guards and servants know the truth. Personality : Aylin can easily be described as a ruthless person but she isn’t heartless. She will kill or order someone killed to further her aims but she’ll have the good grace to feel bad about it afterwards. Unlike most of her kind she is willing to take bold action if she thinks it will help her achieve her aims, but just like the rest she prefers to remain secretive. Often acting through intermediaries instead of directly. History (optional) : Aylin was born to moderately wealthy noble non elemental parents. Her great, great, grandmother had a dalliance with a charming Shadow elemental that hadn’t made it into the official family history which made it possible. They quickly swore all present at her birth to secrecy and had one of them killed when it appeared she was about to sell out the secret. After she was old enough to start exhibiting her abilities, she was moved out to a small farming estate that her parents owned after they claimed she had been severely burned by a boiling pot of water and needed to recover. Her parents found a Shadow elemental who was willing to act as her teacher though they had to pay quite a large sum of money to convince him to do so. Aylin grew up out there and her mother eventually joined her to teach her about everything a young noblewoman needed to learn with her father back at their other home to maintain their standing. When she turned 18 and had a firm enough grasp on her abilities to avoid harming anyone she didn’t want to she moved back to the primary estate where she now lived. Her return was bittersweet as soon after her return her father was killed when he tried to stop a brawl between a group of elementals and her mother passed away shortly after from a broken heart leaving Aylin as the head of their household. Family (optional) : Richard Demaria(Father Deceased), Ashley Demaria(Mother Deceased) Screen Name: Lionstrike792

Blake simply nodded to this and was content to walk with her in silence, trying to think of another conversation topic. He was also trying to think of how to introduce her to his parents. They would probably be just working on some routine maintenance when he arrived so it wouldn't be an interruption. He just hoped his father didn't have any kind of bad blood with Clan Godfrey that he didn't know about. James Smith had been in business for a long time and Blake had never really asked his father for a play by play of his life.

(Hmm lets see something that would make Ollie get rude...) As Eric's horse continued on a young man and woman obviously not in the best of shape financially as their clothing showed rips and their faces covered in dirt stepped in front of him and started begging for coins. An observer behind would be able to see that there was a small child pressed against the young man's back, likely the couples son hiding from all of the noise. The son unknown to Eric and his guards had metallic golden eyes. As Eric was turning to his Earth elemental guard to say something there was a flash as the son got overwhelmed by the flurry of activity and his abilities lashed out. Eric's guardsmen reacted immediately and drew swords, putting their horses and themselves between Eric and the couple knocking them and their now very tired son over backwards. To the guards this seemed like someone was launching an ambush and had been using the couple to slow them down into it. People immediately started rushing away as the weapons came out though some were still stumbling around due to the flash. Ollie's eyes widen seeing this and clenched his fist; no way he was letting those people get hurt for nothing and ran forward. the flash hadn't effected him as much as others for fact he tended to a bright fire most of the day and because the soot smudges on his face. "Ollie!" his grandfather called after him worriedly, but knowing he wouldn't listen now, after seeing what had happened. "Leave them alone!" Ollie yelled as he as stepped in front of the couple and their son; he knew them as they came by the forge every now and then, since they had little money his grandfather didn't charge them for repairs or when they needed a new tool made. his eyes shined with determined and anger as he stood in front of them, not caring in the least if they were elementals or guards. "are you ok?" Ollie asked the couple without glancing back, keeping his eyes trained on the guards.

"I'm hooome." Blake called as he walked through the door. There was the sound of banging over in the corner as his father was finishing up a horseshoe. James Smith looked up briefly before quenching the red hot metal in a nearby barrel of water and nodding with satisfaction as he set it down onto a pile of similar shoes. The Forge was a building made of stone as to prevent it from burning down and the structure had numerous windows around the walls to help let the heat out. One wall of the building was occupied by the furnace and the various melting stoves where metals were purified for use. The center of the room was covered with tables where various things ranging from plows to swords were resting in various states of being finished. Yet another wall had various barrels filled with different liquids which were used for the quenching process.
"Well its about time boy, your mam was gettin worried she was. Thought you might've run into one of those elemen-" It was then that James noticed the visitor with him. "Well young lass, who might you be? Not someone trying to burn my boy I'd hope, I've still a use fer him." James joked, he'd recognized her features as those of a fire elemental but he was genuinely confused about why Blake seemed to be walking with her. He hoped Blake hadn't gotten into trouble with one of the clans.

Thea had to give a light chuckle at the way Blake had greeted his father. It was inbetween a sing song voice and just exaggerated syllables. But soon she was distracted by the things in the forge. The heat felt nice, and Thea felt it as soon as she walked in. Fire Elementals, of course, enjoyed the heat. This job appeared to be complex, but if Thea got a job here, it would most likely be used for applying enough eat to certain metals to make them malleable. Or to keep the fire going.
Thea promptly raised an eyebrow when Blake's father stopped himself from saying 'Elementals'. She had to take slight offense to that, he made it sound like all Elementals were sniffing for trouble. And while Thea found a rush from trouble making, she never did it to a point where a joke would hurt someone. "Thea. Thea Godfrey." She introduced herself, trying to keep her tone level in front of her potential boss

The light elemental was the first to realize what had happened after noticing the child. He'd had a similar outburst when he was younger but before he could say anything to his companion a rather angry looking young man approached them and yelled at them to leave the family alone. Eric looked through his guards at the boy in front of them. Eric had his own sword out now but it was at a resting position across his pommel as there didn't seem to be any actual danger. "This matter does not concern you commoner. These people are guilty of assault upon his noble highness-" The Earth elemental started before Eric waved his hand to cut him off. He had now noticed the same thing his light elemental had about the child's eyes. "Now now Alric don't be rude. This appears to be a misunderstanding. Tell me soot boy, are these friends of yours?" Eric asked, addressing the last statement to Ollie. He actually wasn't trying to cause offense but when you didn't know a commoners name you just had to call them by a defining characteristic. Otherwise how would they know you were talking to them?

he wanted to yell at the earth elemental about how it didn't matter whether it concerned him or not. "they come by the forge sometimes, so yeah, you could say that." Ollie said having not moved from the spot, but added rudely. "and don't call me 'soot boy', my name is Ollie." he wasn't afraid of nobles, they were just pappered and expected things to be handed to them; from what his seen of them. he had gotten into a few fights with some of the people from town and some from those who were traveling through, each for a different reason, though he got better at fist fighting each time. however this time he was hoping a fight could be avoided, especially since his grandfather was watching.

To be fair to James he'd actually been about to say 'elemental brawls' but Thea had no way of knowing that. He was about to reply to her introduction when a woman walked in from behind Blake and Thea. "Oh Blake you're home, I was getting worr-" She took proper notice of Thea in mid-sentence and looked over with James, exchanging a confused glance. Blake decided to save them from their confusion. "I met Thea out in the town, she's a fire elemental and she was interested in possibly getting a job here." Blake explained rolling his eyes at the way his parents had been reacting. This allowed James to finally regain his footing. "Godfrey you say? I helped the locksmith with some parts for a lock box for your clan about say fifteen years ago. Good folks, paid on time." He said, that wasn't always a given, most elemental were trustworthy when you did work for them but some were lousy with making time to send the payment along for work done. "To business then. How well along are your abilities? We can use a fire elemental around but I don't want to accidently burn you out. No pun intended." James added.

"Well now you're just be rude Oddie. After these people apologize they will be free to go on their way. I suggest you do the same." Eric said, looking down at him. He wasn't about to let a soot faced commoner ruin his mood. Really it was quite obstinate for this boy to be troubling him. Must not have had a proper upbringing to respect his betters. He could try to teach him a lesson but it would hardly be worth the trouble. He had Alric and Jake for those kind of things after all.

he knew the family probably would, but him? ha! he nearly smiled thinking about it. "why should i apologize to a stuck up noble when it was your guards who tried to hurt them for a completely silly misunderstanding." Ollie said with a snort, the towns people were of course watching silently by now; they knew as well as he did, not in his life would he ever apologize to someone of noble blood. "i thought nobles were taught common sense, but perhaps only-" he started to say, but was interrupted by his grandfather. "Ollie please." his Grandfather scolded him coming over, he didn't want to see a fight break out or anything worse. "Please, forgive him. his still young and doesn't know any better."

Thea wasn't very interested in his story about a purchase of an object here made by a Clan member, but she said nothing and pretended to look interested. But she was soon distracted by his question though and a smile slowly became evident on her face. "Abilities that would be useful here? Well, I can keep a fire going, soften most metals enough to make them malleable, heat up most surfaces on contact, and I am mostly heat resistant. I don't burn easily." She gave a thoughtful nod at the end of her statement and then continued. "If I do all of that, I will say, I am guaranteed to be tired at the end of a work day. However, it won't kill me." She figured Blake's father might like that part, especially since no one wants trouble from Elementals in general.
She still needed to either ask her father, lie about where she goes, or say nothing at all. The third option sounded promising, considering her father was good at detecting lies, and he would most likely say no to the job. Especially if he was already going to be questioning her about Blake anyhow.

I think I'll have my character spectate the commotion in town lol)
Lizbeth was searching some old crates that were thrown out the back door of a nearby tavern, hoping to find some good food that was thrown away. Finding nothing but rotten trash, she sighed, frustrated. Was she going to have to go another night without a meal? Suddenly she heard lots of shouting. Maybe the elementals are fighting again. she thought. Her curiosity overpowered her, and she ran through the alleys, coming upon the scene of the noble atop his horse, surrounded by guards.

Normally, Persephone tried to ignore everything going on around her. Everything was so obnoxiously loud; she couldn't think if she concentrated on all the useless commotion around her. Tuning everything out made it easier. But God, if this wasn't a show. The stupid commoner, the stuck-up noble, and the desperate old man. An old cliche and nothing she hadn't seen before, but she couldn't help but watch from the shadows, twirling her waist-length hair lazily around her finger. Someone always got hurt in situations like this; her money was on the idiot boy - Robbie, did he say his name was? - but she wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being the old man. Or maybe the commoner would take a swing at the noble. Now that would be a sight to see. It might even get her interested enough to participate.
She noticed some movement in the corner of her eye and saw a girl about her age, maybe a few years older, emerge from an alley a few feet away. She kept her features blank, but her eyes slid over and watched the newcomer, hoping she wouldn't notice her.

Alric looked like he was one step from just killing the boy outright. Fortunately Jake touched his arm to calm him. This was why they were commonly paired together on guard duty. "Old man your boy needs to learn to choose his battles. Had he not come here in a bluster this would have just ended with an apology and a calm parting word. Now he has made anger where none previously existed." Eric said to the old man, by how old they looked in comparison Eric assumed they were grandfather and grandson. He also assumed the boys parents had better things to do than chase down their obstinate charge hence why the grandfather was the one out with him this day.
