That is how it appeared to us when we saw how nothing more remained from all that had blossomed in earlier times. Even the memory of it all was almost completely lost among the people, but for a few songs, books, legends, and these innocent fairy tales. Gatherings around the oven, around the kitchen stove, on stair landings, holidays still celebrated, grazing pastures and forests in their silence...these were the hedges that protected these seeds and passed them down from one age to another.

A Grimm (Ger. "wrath") is a special person who possesses incredible powers, such as being able to see the true form of Wesen even when the Wesen don't want them to. For centuries, Grimms have taken it upon themselves to police and hunt the Wesen population and to protect normal humans from the unknown threat around them.
Grimms are tasked with policing the creature world, making sure that those who harm humans are stopped. For this reason, many Wesen mistrust or fear them, even having their own set of Wesen fairy tales warning Wesen children about the Grimms. Grimms possess superior fighting skills, good heads for observation, and uncanny instincts for people and their personalities, even besides their ability to sense the supernatural.
Grimms possess many powers; the most commonly used one is their ability to see Wesen when they are woged, but only if the Wesen is startled, scared, angered, or stressed, or something else happens that disrupts the Wesen's concentration. They have no control over this ability. Grimms also possess slightly superhuman strength, durability, agility, reflexes, speed, and even morphallaxis. It is to be noted this ability is only SLIGHTLY higher then normal. Grimms also possesses greater resistance to arsenic's drug-like effects and have a natural aptitude for fighting. They are basically hard wired to fight the Wesen.

When Wesen woge, they are able to recognize a Grimm by looking into their eyes. They can see an "infinite darkness" in a Grimm's eyes that allows a Wesen to see their reflection, where they can see their true Wesen nature. Many Wesen find it unsettling to see themselves reflected.
There are many species of Wesen (a list can be found on the Grimm fandom Wiki), each species has its own traits and abilities. Seriously if you don't know what this is... No cap. They cannot see the true form of a Wesen unless a Wesen wishes them too. There are no exceptions to this rule at this point in time.

They are ruthless, extremely wealthy, and powerful, so they pose a large threat to the Wesen community, especially since they wield the command of the Verrat (A Wesen organisation that serves the royal families). Nearly the entirety of their lineages are composed of Kehrseite-Schlich-Kennen (humans who know about the existence of Wesen), as they deal both directly and indirectly in Wesen affairs.
There are seven Royal families, currently there is a max of two character per royal family. For the purpose of this Rp the royal families are:

For the purpose of this Rp the setting is a fictional city called Elamor in America. The city is of significant size and the rp can encompass the surrounding land as well. For ease of rping I have broken the city down into five main areas each with their own features. Each section will have a school, emergency service and other necessary places. The places listed are simply the 'hotspots' or notable points. If anybody wants to add custom places just let me know! :3
The concept is that each section is large enough and busy enough to warrant their own Grimm otherwise we will have too much of an overflow. Each section is large enough to be able to have small plots not effect other small plots in other sections ie. A new grimm appears in one section the Wesen in the section would know but maybe not the ones in the other sections. Each section however is small enough that large plots ie. royals messing around or a grimm who decides to go all mass wesen murderer would get noticed.
*** Note!: There is a minimum of one Grimm per section and a maximum of three per section. Please know that normally only one Grimm would frequent an area as their territory or area of jurisdiction, more then one will normally result in a challenge of authority or fight between the two. If you want to Rp a Grimm that isn't attached to one area but rather has other plans or simply drifts let me know!
North Elamor:
Half covered in residential estates and in national park forest.

The bustling part of city centre. Contains multiple restaurants, bars, cafes and clubs. There are a few parks here and there and a lot of big name businesses.
Oasis - A popular cafe located on the corner of the main street. The inside opens to a small rustic designed seating area with booths and tables and leads to an outdoor garden with tables and hanging plants from a large shade cover. Upstairs is a small quiet zone and a stocked library where people can read. Run by Blake Moss.
East Elamor:
Elamor State High: The high school with highest attendance and student population group.
Elamor State: The junior school section of Elamor State High.
Best Brooke Farm : A large farm situated on the edge of Elamor. Is camping friendly and large on education of people in animal care.
West Elamor:
West Elamor is mostly high end shopping stores, residential areas and hang spots for the more upperclass society.
South Elamor: [section Grimm: Kennedy Citali]
South Elamor consists mainly of docks, shipping yards and some coast line.
Main Beach - the most popular beach in the city. Stretches for quiet awhile and is a pleasant place to go on a summer day.
Hansen Shipping Yard - the largest shipping yard often filled with containers.
South Docks - the dodgy part of the docks. Frequented by the poorer citizens and the trouble makers.
Taste of Trouble - A popular Wesen night club. Strictly for the Wesen population only. It's located in the South Docks.
North Docks - contains a couple of pubs and bars.

Grimms
Amyra (Mira) Reeves || 22 || Female || Nurse/Part time university student || Grimm
Amyra, or Mira as she prefers to be called, is a slender fit girl with a nicely toned body and tanned skin. She has a faint Irish accent after having being born American but moved to Ireland and raised there for most of her life. Mira has straight light brown hair that rests just below her shoulders when out. Typically her hair is tied back in a bun and when not at work can be seen dressed in jeans, tights or some other long clothing (never shorts or short skirts/dresses unless the event calls for it) with some form of sleeved top of T-shirt and closed in shoes. Amyras' main qualities are sarcasm, stubbornness, bluntness, quick to think on her feet and general compassion. As a Grimm she runs her section with the belief that where possible wrong doings are to be dealt with the legal human system, where not possible she will deal with them. She separates her life as a nurse and as a Grimm treating them as two different careers. Where one is her redemption in compassion, helping and mercy the other is her mercy in doing what must be done in order to stop those Wesen who wish to cause trouble. She has a close friend within the police who she often goes to with whatever evidence she can find (said friend is open!). Currently does a research degree in Infectious Diseases and Disease Control.

Kennedy Citali || 19 || Female || Teacher/Part time Uni student || Grimm
Of an average height and weight, this Grimm is fairly well toned and athletic due to her 'on the side' occupation. Dedicated to all that she does Kennedy is of the view that only the Wesen who have broken the law should be punished. Other than those who aim to hurt others, she doesn't have much of an issue with the Wesen. If you were to look at her, with her pale skin and waist length pale blue dyed hair, you wouldn't think she was a Grimm. Her emerald green eyes are, for the most part, full of kindness and her actions almost always have a graceful gentleness to them. That and her love for children are what make her a great teacher. But, when it comes down to it - if someone was to try and hurt those she feels loyal to - they better watch out because she'll come for them screaming for blood. Kennedy chooses to see the best in people until they prove her wrong, something which sometimes gets her into a lot of trouble. She'll believe in the person and give them multiple 'second-chances' until she finally admits defeat and gives up on them, however, that takes a lot of time and a lot of bad things. Some would call Kennedy naive and in over her head, but she's actually quite smart and does have a good head on her shoulders - she just considers herself a pacifying optimist.

Wesen
Blake Moss || 26 || Male || Cafe Owner || Wesen (Kistune)
Blake Moss is an average heighted man with a messy of spiky black hair and dark brown hazel shaped eyes. Blake typically dresses in whatever comfortable clothes are lying around- usually jeans and some sort of T shirt or flannel. He has a passion for cooking and running his cafe is what he lives for- he is rather reserved and closed off to those who are not fellow Kitsune. Or to those who he hasn't known for a very long time. Respectful and an all around good fellow he's not somebody you would pick as a criminal. That is unless you really knew him. Blake is a thief and has pulled off a handful of international heists in his life stealing artefacts. His last heist was years ago after which he opened his cafe and has not looked back- however the right job could convince him...

Elainne (Ellie) Torres || 19 || Female || Swim coach/university student || Wesen (naiad)
Ellie is a pale skinned girl with bright red hair and blue green eyes. She's almost always sunburnt and despite the time she spends outdoors. Ellie is a somewhat contrary kind of girl. She is a generally nurturing girl who has a strong 'righteous good' moral compass which gives her a somewhat altruistic streak. Despite this Elainne is not the trusting sort, nor the loyal kind she would betray someone in a heartbeat if it prevented something she viewed as immoral. Typically she is rather solitary socially and while polite to others she will quickly try to deflect constant advances. Ellie is a sucker for romance but her distrust for others holds her back from making a strong romantic connection.

Sparrow Ganizani || 21 || Male || Uni student/bar tender || Wesen - Fuchsbau
It would be hard to miss this male when you walked into a room. With his head of bright orangey-red hair and tall height, Sparrow isn't afraid to put himself out there and get down and dirty. Loving to make bets - often ones he has rigged to ensure he wins - his part-time job as a bartender is perfect for him. Although Fuchsbau are known to be a bit shady and have dealt in selling organs - Sparrow, for the most part - is rather clean cut. Aside from his rigged bets of course. Boisterous and out-there he doesn't really care what people think of him and can often be found doing some of the strangest things for bets or dares. Although his personality is big - he tries to stay out of the way of any Grimms who he might encounter and not draw attention to himself if one is near. If he has to, or if they have a good cause, he'll help the Grimm out, mainly to just get them to leave, but if not - he'd be more likely to just walk away and then lie low for a while.

Lindy Dakota || 20 || Female || Life guard || Wesen - Luisant-Pêcheur
Sun-bleached blonde hair and pale blue eyes, Lindy is a rather dark, tanned brown and has multiple freckles across her face. She loves the beach, pools, bathtubs - basically anywhere that has water. She loves her job as a life-guard and wouldn't change her mind and go to Uni over it. She likes to help people and has a strong moral compass, believing not in shades of grey but in black and white. She'll often try hard to find the silver lining, but sometimes struggles to do this and can become rather pessimistic and moody at times. However, if she's near the water there is nothing that could ever be happier. Terrified of Grimms, she does everything in her power to avoid them and to not draw any attention to herself.

Mason Illbra || 23 || Male || Author || Human (Illbra Royal)
Mason has a light brown skin with mid length wavy brown hair and bright blue eyes. Mason is a typically logical, observant and ambitious man. Like many Royals Mason was born with a general prejudice to the Wesen and an overall desire to rule. Arrogant- yes but not necessarily cruel. He is not one for outward displays of affection and in fact struggles with most genuine emotion, most words coming from his mouth being lies. Occasionally flirtatious he knows how to play the social games and can play them well. When he finds someone who he actually gets close to him he will be loyal to them to a fault and will do anything for them but it is a long hard road to become that person.
