"Thats the place. Looks like we will be colleagues as well." She said with a grin. Her head dipped in a nod as he asked whether she enjoyed skating and listened to him explain all about what he did. It was obvious from his tone it was something he was passionate about and that not succeeding as he had planned weighed on him heavily. "You'll get there. Training for any sport is hard but I always say if you want something bad enough you'll get there. I love skating but kinda, opposite to you. I play Hockey." People were usually surprised when she admitted this fact. She was petite and feminine, making it hard to picture her sticking it out on the ice. But it was one of her great loves and she was actually very good. "I made the team here, it actually helped pay off some of my fees which is always nice." He seemed down to earth and she liked that about him, she had always thought someone like him would be big headed or arrogant and it was a pleasant realisation. Cain chuckled at the revelation that they would be colleagues and found himself happy about it, feeling he'd already made two friends that day. He blinked slowly at her encouragement, blushing lightly, and then grinned widely when she told him she played hockey. 'Oh my gods. Really?' He laughed. 'That's awesome! I'm far too fragile to be able to play a sport like ice hockey, it's so violent!' He exclaimed, looking down at her. At 6'5", and lean with muscle, 'fragile' wasn't exactly the best word to describe the males physique. He found himself really liking this woman. Cain glanced down at his phone as he received a notification from instagram and flicked it open, looking at a photo of a bunch of the senior competitors whom had tagged him; 'good luck, Morte!' All holding peace signs up with their fingers and wide grins. Cain turned beetroot red and cupped a hand over his mouth, both embarrassed and extremely happy to see the support he was receiving from the older men. 'Couldn't have just sent me a text?' He mumbled, unable to stop smiling as he tucked his phone back into his pocket. 'Do you want a biscuit or anything? I brought a few packets with me.'

I'm about to dash off for a bit. Got a lot of housework to get done before new year)
She noticed his flushed face and smiled, before her own cheeks coloured at his response to her admission. "It's not always violent, especially if you can outskate the opposition. But I have to admit the rougher games are the most fun." She laughed, the placid girl didn't have a violent bone in her body, off the ice at least. With her jersey on, that was a different story. If he was considered fragile she wondered what that made her. At 5'4" she was the shortest player on the team and although she was incredibly fit you wouldn't know it from just looking at her. He flicked open his phone and his face only deepened in colour, she wondered for a moment what he had seen. It obviously made him happy judging by the smile that lit up his eyes. At his offer of a biscuit she shook her head, declining politely. "No thank you. I know I should probably be out socialising with everyone. It's not an overly exciting prospect though I have to admit." Cain chuckled quietly at her words and closed his eyes. but you've never lived until you've made that final quad and landed it; until you've broken your personal best; until you've stood up on that podium, with your competition behind you and the crowd in front, gold medal in hand. he shivered slightly at the memory, then glanced up as she declined his offer and spoke of socialising. 'Well, I'm not stopping you.' He chuckled. 'I can understand not wanting to.' He glanced over at the group, shaking his head slightly. Had it gotten bigger? 'I'm not really good at talking, myself.'

Bloodrose (Okay x3) KuraiTeddy eventually made his way into the kitchen, blue eyes narrowed in thought as he watched House off of his phone. Briefly glancing away to notice Cain and Brinn, he only blinked once and managed a small "hello" before to the microwave. Upon coming in, he'd brought one of those cheap little Mac & Cheese cups, too lazy to go out to buy something, and even more so to dig around. So, he popped out something he'd brought from home. Theodore put water in the cup and set it in the microwave, jumping slightly when something loud occurred in the show he was watching. Turning the volume down, he took out his earbuds before putting them away, but keeping his phone on the counter. Sighing, he leaned against the counter. Listening to the soft hum of the microwave, Teddy just stayed calm as he was. It didn't hurt to watch everyone else either, even though he wasn't the most interested in a majority of them. The coal-curled man only paused from his little activity to look at his phone. Teddy's mother sent him a picture of their pet dog, an female English Mastiff named Majesty. Even though he wasn't exactly... erm... "licensed" to perform surgery, Theodore saw fit in doing so the night before Majesty was scheduled to be taken in. It took a lot of explaining to the vet on why they wouldn't bring her in, without mentioning the surgery already performed. But hey. The Mastiff was healing up nicely. Teddy smiled slightly at the resting dog before his meal finished in the microwave. Removing, the cup, he set it on the counter to cool down. After, he sent a text to his mother, saying that he was glad that Majesty was doing well. Putting his phone away, releasing a heavy sigh of content.

'Hey.' Cain responded, smiling shyly at the man and curiously watching him from the corner of his eyes. damn, this guy is cute. Cosa non darei- ...and that's the entirety of my course ruined. I'm going to have to avoid him like the plague. blushing deeply at his thoughts he struggled to focus on the tv, but was distracted by Teddy's sigh and the scent of his food. 'Whatcha make?' Cain curiously asked, completely forgetting about his new resolution to avoid Teddy.

"The question is, friend," Teddy corrected "What did the microwave make? I myself can't make crap yet." He couldn't make much else than cereal without a microwave. One of his goals upon moving to the suite was to look to cook. He took the cup, with the edges of his fingers, by the very tip, and held it up so the Mac & Cheese label was visible to Cain. After a moment, he managed to procude a packaged, plastic fork from his jacket pocket. Poking at the food with the utensil, Teddy offered simply "I have a mess of stuff like this if you're hungry. My mother made me pack enough of everything to support fifty families, and then some."
After a few bites, Teddy found himself asking "So, what're you here for, to major in?" Might as well try to talk instead of allowing awkward silence.

He needed to be if he was going to keep his diet in check, and his father had taught him almost everything he knew; his mother only really knew how to cook fish. 'No thanks; I need to watch my weight.' He politely declined, before smiling as he asked. 'Music.' He said. 'I'm a singer. My bandmates are all older than me by three to five years, but I'm the best voice they ever heard.' He grinned proudly. 'So I'm here to learn more and be the best I can be for them.' He looked up at the tv, watching as the next song came on.

Bloodrose"I watch my weight already, but sometimes it's okay to poke at junk," he decided thoughtfully "So long as you don't gobble the entire fridge." He listened with a neutral gaze as Cain explained his reason for being there. "What a preening that just was," Teddy said with a raised brow and small smile "At least your major gains the attention of everyone. Good luck to you and your band." It being a small cup, Teddy finished the little meal quickly. Throwing it all away, Teddy continued "Music is a much more "likeable" line than forensics, what I'm majoring in. Probably because you don't have to cut up the dead in a music career." Running a hand over his face, Teddy said "Would've been majoring in nothing ol' business like my dad up in Harvard wanted if I didn't discover shows like House and Forensic Files." Looking over at Cain again, he asked "So, you a native here? Or coming from somewhere else? Today is literally my first day in the state."

Cain blushed nervously and looked at the floor, listening as Teddy explained what his major was and what originally got him into it. 'I'm from New York.' He told him, smiling widely. In truth, he'd been concerned Teddy had been about to ask him about his nationality, and was extremely glad when he didn't. 'I'm sure it'll take us no time to get used to the place,' He said, 'though we should probably get used to each other first.' He chuckled and moved to the fridge, pulling out a box of sushi before sitting beside Teddy and opening it. He filled a small compartment with soy sauce and took the chopsticks to lift the sushi and dip, before popping one into his mouth.

Bloodrose"A Yorker," Teddy echoed simply "Lucky you, born in the Big Apple. I was born in Washington. My family meets up there, in New York, for the holidays and such though, actually. Awesome place." He pulled out a water bottle that was peeking from the other pocket of his jacket, lightening the weight. Opening the bottle, he took a drink as Cain spoke again. "So long as I don't find out I'm living with a bunch of jugheads," Teddy said "Like my previous university, I think I'll take to everybody here eventually. Some become friends, others don't." His nose wrinkled thought, the memories of his last bunch of college-mates. However, his expression eased up to mild curiosity when Cain brought out a box of sushi. It wasn't in his diet, but he did have a liking for it. Going back to watching the others milling around, Teddy said "You're a little on the shy side, I've noticed. I can make a bet it's a little difficult for you to be... social? Or seek it out." He didn't say anything in a negative or rude way though, and he'd apologize if it didn't sit too well with Cain anyway. Teddy merely commented on how he noticed Cain acted around others, along with avoiding them if he could. Taking another drink from his water bottle, he added with another wrinkle of his nose "I'm in the same boat, more or less, but for slightly different reasons." Theodore had a habit of scaring people off with his rough personality sometimes.
