"Am I getting the silent treatment?" he asked, chuckling. "Or are you still too tired to answer?" He stepped closer, taking a seat in the chair next to the hospital bed that was there for visitors. "Do you have family? They might want to know. It might seem intimidating, but if they get scared you can always say they dreamed it," he joked.
"Anyway, the sun is down, so you can get out of here. We can find a nurse or two on the way out. You definitely look like you haven't eaten." Vampires were always the most pale when they were freshly turned. They hadn't had blood yet, so they looked basically like a corpse except moving. Eating didn't return all the color, but definitely a little, at least enough to make them look more like a normal person.
He planned on her staying at his house for a while, until she got accostumed to everything: how her body worked, how best to kill, a regular feeding schedule. He was actually quite hospitable and friendly when he wasn't around "lowly humans" who he saw as inferior to himself. Now that she was a vampire… problem solved!

Marie glanced over to the man in the first place before she was running her hands through her hair as if that would calm her. Nothing like this had happened before. She didn't even know what could possibly be going on in the first place. She narrowed her eyes before she looked away from him.
The fact that he was being so... She didn't know how to describe it at the moment. Nice? Hospitable? She pursed her lips while she was trying to think. She had no family to talk to. It wasn't like she would even go to her living father in the first place. She had daddy issues for a reason.
"Why are you really here?" she growled slightly before she covered her mouth with a groan. Great. Now it was hurting more than usual.
Not only was her mouth flaring up with pain, her neck was doing so as well. God, what was even going on with her?! She shuddered as she was trying hard not to even show weakness in front of this stranger. She didn't even care if he was introducing himself anyway.

"I'm here because I made you a vampire. It's kind of my job now to be here," he answered, shrugging. He'd never thought about having an angle… Maybe some did. He didn't really concern himself with vampire "politics" or anything. There weren't enough vampires around that he saw them often.
He didn't understand why exactly she was acting hostile. He'd saved her life. Hell, he'd brought her up from the gutters of society. Now she could do what she wanted, when she wanted. She didn't have to rely on sex for a living, and that was a start.
"So are you coming or not? Trust me, the solo act is not going to work, at least, for the first few weeks," he reminded her. It was better to warn her now. It was not a fun path to walk alone. Getting adjusted early was key.

Marie didn't know if she could pale any more at his words, but she found a way to do just that. "What?" she whispered as she was feeling her hands shake as she was looking around for another moment. What he said really didn't add...
She actually bothered to look to her skin and see the burn marks in comparison to how her skin really was. What in the hells was going on? This had to be a joke. She couldn't possibly be...
Her mouth flared up in pain as she was instinctively standing. She pressed a hand against her mouth as tears were filling her eyes. Was she really about to do what she think she was going to do?
Yes. Her thirst was overcoming her and her eyes became slits as instinct was taking over her. She shakily walked to the superior vampire before sniffing the air slightly while letting out a slight growl.

Lukas quirked an eyebrow. He had figured she'd known on her own. He was confused, at most, that she was acting so strangely. "What did you think happened last night?" he muttered. It was more of a rhetoric question.
However, he acknowledged her change in behavior. So she was going to eat, then? He nodded. "Come on then. You better not make too much mess," he teased. He could smell a nurse walking towards the room. "If you wait, she'll come check on the room. It'll be easier to catch her off guard."
He wasn't planning on eating himself, but he did have to make sure she didn't go wild and kill too many people. It would probably make her sick. It was like giving a buffet to someone who hadn't eaten in days; they would eat themself sick. Though she would probably need food later as well.

Marie remained silent as she remained still at his side. Clearly she seemed to not be as tall in the first place. If anything, it made her not as much of a threat in comparison.
It felt like hours before the nurse walked into the room, then she attacked. Her fangs extended as she seemed to nearly unhinge her jaw as she tacked the nurse to the ground before she happily and gleefully sank her fangs into the meal. From there, she could feel some of the hunger subside as she was too high on the bloodlust to actually care about making a mess.
When she pulled away, blood smeared her face as she glanced over to Lukas before she smirked slowly at him. Her eyes were now shifting to become a brighter shade of red. She shakily stood as if she was sensing her next meal. What could she say? Adrenaline was pumping through her as she was looking around wildly.

Lukas waited patiently, quiet as a mouse and unnaturally still. Although the thought of food excited him, he had more control than that. He didn't feel the least bit hungry anyway.
He waited until she was done. Laughing, he chided, "Wipe your chin off before we leave. You got messy just like I warned you not to." He couldn't blame her when her top priority was simply to eat.
"By the way, no more food for now. You'll upset your stomach." Besides the fact she would overeat, there was also the fact that she may not be totally used to blood. "You probably are going to try to attack someone else, but I'm not going to let you. Just know I'm doing it for your good."

Marie gave him a pout before she reluctantly wiped away the blood around her mouth, even taking the time to try licking it up. She didn't know why it was so tasty in the first place.
She sent in a cold look before she rolled her eyes at him. She wasn't a child. Then again, she got distracted as she could hear another medical staff walking down the hall. She felt a lot more confident, and a grin came to her face as she was feeling herself slowly walk towards the door with a bit of a growl.
She didn't think that he was actually going to be true to his word in the first place, and her fangs were extended already, so what was the harm in taking another body for blood?

Lukas could also smell another staff member approaching, and he wasn't an idiot. He placed a hand on her shoulder, giving her a tight grip of warning. If she tried to attack, he would stop her. If anything, he could play it off as being cautious.
"What did I just tell you?" he hissed. "Open the door and keep walking. Don't attack." This would be her first impulse test. She would have to get used to it at some point. Of course it would be easier when she was less hungry and less pumped-up off the adrenaline of fresh blood, but still, there would be points where she had to keep cool even when every instinct told her to attack the first thing in sight.
"If you need to, try talking to me. About anything. It'll make it easier to ignore," he added. Hopefully that would help. Having his mom around to talk to when he was hungry had always helped, especially if he was trying to avoid eating while he'd walked her home. Nowadays she didn't walk anywhere. If anything, he took her down the block in her wheelchair, but that did about as much good as opening her window and was much more time and effort.

Marie didn't know what to do, let alone what to say. Every move felt robotic and unnatural to her as she shakily opened up the door while she walked outside the room. Even as she was forcing herself to walk, she was clawing at her hospital bracelet, getting to the point where she was gnawing on that to keep her mind off of feeding.
The smell of blood was overpowering. She wanted to dive herself over to the nearest bloodbag and try devouring that if she could. Then again, the plastic didn't seem to be too appealing. Yes. Humans seemed to be her best interest. She nearly dove at one before she remembered how tightly he gripped her shoulder. That had actually hurt in the first place.
Plus, it was triggering faint memories of her childhood. Why was he even acting like a father figure in some senses? The idea made her shudder before she glared at him again.
"So now you're being so considerate." she growled, her voice feeling a lot better now that she had fed on something. It still didn't make sense that he was... He tried to kill her! Why was she even submitting to him? Probably instinct in general.

Lukas shrugged. "Yeah, and now you're a vampire," he pointed out. Wasn't that obvious? He wasn't just going to leave her to die. He had to make sure she got along okay at least until she could make it by herself. He would understand if she just wanted to live alone again in the end, but for a while that was hardly possible.
He'd never turned anyone else, but he didn't harbor any resentment at her for being a human just a day ago. He saw it like… like she'd been awakened to a better life. Now she was a better person, literally. She was stronger, faster, lived forever. Who wouldn't want that? The small price, you had to kill humans, and that was no big deal. Even Marie, who'd been a human just a few hours ago, had no trouble with it! Right?
Honestly, he wouldn't care if everyone became a vampire, except for the fact he'd have trouble finding food.

Marie bit her lip, and a part of her wished that drew blood. Of course it didn't. She shuddered at this realization before she closed her eyes tightly. No. This had to be some sick and twisted dream. Of course she didn't wake up in her run-down apartment when she opened her eyes.
"You're the freak." she growled at him as she was walking by his side. "I didn't ask for this in the first place. How was I supposed to know you were a vampire?" she huffed as she was storming down, her heels clicking against the sidewalk. She didn't even think about killing that person in the first place. What an ugly thought. She shuddered while crossing her arms over her chest. She didn't think that she would have needed a jacket. Apparently she was regretting that decision of hers.
"Were you just bored when you turned me into one?" she huffed at him while narrowing her red eyes at him.

whoops! sorry I poofed }}
Lukas threw his arms up in confusion. "You weren't. I don't really tell people and ask if I can kill them," he retorted. "Besides, you'll be grateful once you get used to it. The perks are great." He grinned just thinking of it. "I'll show you if you want, but it would mean getting close to a human again. Can you handle that?" he asked.
He didn't want to risk it, but he couldn't resist the temptation of showing off. After all, she'd have to learn all the tricks sometime. He just hoped she would be able to keep her composer.

(Lol, it's fine)
Marie narrowed her eyes a little before she gave him a small sneer. "Don't even think that..." she bit her lip, which had her fangs prick into her lip. "Ow..." she muttered as she was walking along by his side. Her eyes were gleaming some more while she was trying to think of her next move.
"Where are we going?" she asked quietly while she glanced to him every now and then. It was just a lot to handle in the first place. She felt so nervous about everything.
