Damn, I like him already XD... I can totally see their relationship being dysfunctional and crazy, which sounds like some awesome character development. So would you want to make a starter or me? I figure as long as there's something to write in response to it will be great (so please no "one-liners")

He walk up to her.
lmao I'm jk cx }}
Lukas, a pale, lithe, incredibly dangerous and feared creature of the night, was out doing the most mundane of chores: buying groceries for his mother. Yes, a human mother. She needed to eat, and food wasn't so convenient for her as it was for him. It was annoying, but she would ground him for eternity if he turned her into a beautiful creature such as himself, and she'd be around to keep up on the promise.
He'd come close to just killing her for convenience sake, but he couldn't do it. The woman had raised him, so she deserved care for the rest of her short, meaningless life. He was cold, but he wasn't heartless.
However, picking up groceries reminded him that he needed to "pick up some lunch" aka kill someone. He did so every couple of days. He probably could have staved off hunger longer if he tried, but he didn't think it was necessary. He was going to kill anyway, why be bothered to make himself uncomfortable for the good of his food? Humans would die anyway; he was saving them from wasting their lives.
Of course, some vampires ate animals, or they only drank from the old or dying. He preferred not to, since it was first of all, gross, and second of all, very unhealthy and risky.
He stepped out of the store, the streets dimly lit now that the sun had just gone down. He surveyed the sidewalks for a good meal.

( XD, nice to know you got humor lol)
Marie became a different person when dusk came around. That meant she was obligated to dress in one of her more revealing dresses for the sake of walking up and down the sidewalks in the hopes of a driver pulling over. It was a simple, easy way for her to earn a quick buck. Besides, her services weren't cheap anyway.
She pushed back her brown hair while she was looking up at the darkening sky. It made her a little uneasy, which was ridiculous since she had always gone out like this. Then again, she needed to buy materials since she was low on them. This was why she priced herself high. The last thing she wanted was to catch something and damage herself for it in the first place.
As she walked out to the grocery store, she pressed her lips together and narrowed her brown eyes for a moment. Her hand gripped tightly around her dark purse as she saw the silhouette of a man. A potential customer? Not likely. Clearly he had been out getting food for himself, and likely someone else since he had more than one bag in the first place.
She cleared her throat for a moment before she walked across the parking lot with her head held up high. All she would do was get what she needed, pay for it, then get out to go about her business.
That didn't mean she couldn't look at the man before smirking and giving him a wink.

Lukas was a sucker for temptation. Pretty girls and pretty boys alike, when he saw one, his mind starting racing.
Even more so as one winked at him. She wasn't exactly trying to hide her allure, so he figured maybe she wanted him to come over? That said, she probably didn't plan to die. Unfortunately, it was out of her hands from this moment on. She should have been more careful about which vampire she winked at.
That'd been a quick and rare find. He didn't usually get someone so willing to tempt him. Usually it took a long while to find a naive target, and they also had to be alone. He wouldn't mind killing two or more people at once, but the problem was, he got too full, and if he didn't kill all of them, then it'd be a waste of food.
He started to follow her, setting a brisk pace to catch up. "Hey, sweetheart, how much for a quick job, you hear me?" he asked, grocery bags thumping as they hit his legs with each step. By quick, he meant very. It wouldn't take long for him to take all her blood, though what he had in mind was probably much different than what she did.

Marie was surprised that she heard him walking to catch up to her. She glanced over her shoulder with a raised eyebrow before she chuckled softly to him. How desperate was this guy? Apparently very.
While pursing her lips, she shifted her weight to one leg before she simply gave him a shrug while taking no pains to looking him over. The streetlamps were probably the main reason why he was looking so pale to her. Oh well. A part of her was telling her to run. Then again, he was offering to pay for her time.
Of course she was going to take the chance to get money before going into the store.
"Hmm..." she hummed while she walked towards him casually while placing a hand on his chest, a simple tactic she used to get the attention of the customers. "Thirty will do." she stated, "After all, you're paying for quality." she said as she glanced around.
"Will the back of the store do? You're going to have to be specific on what you want." she chuckled as she stepped backwards and away from him for a moment.

"I'm sure I am," he chuckled. He had no intentions of paying her anything once she was dead, so the "price" didn't really matter. He wouldn't be buying anything anyway.
He felt the urge to bite her then and there, but caution took hold of him, and decency. He wouldn't kill her in public; it'd be awfully embarrassing, and definitely a spectical. "Yes, the back of the store will do," he agreed. All he had to do was lead her into a false sense of compliancy: be agreeable, charming, then just attack. There was no need to play around. Some enjoyed the chase; he more enjoyed the taste.
He followed her, ignoring her playful backing-away. If he thought she was really going to run, he would have been on her in an instant. However, he only laughed and smiled at her, watching as she stepped away, acting teasingly. It didn't irritate him; he was patient with these humans, like a child patiently wait for their dinner plate to arrive or the stew to simmer.

Marie rolled her eyes slightly before she sauntered her way back to the rear of the store. She figured that there was at least one spot without a camera. Of course she wasn't going to want that kind of evidence on her.
She hummed lowly to herself before she closed her eyes for a moment or two. Now this was feeling normal. She soon leaned against the brick wall before she let out a small huff. What was taking him so long? A part of her couldn't help but get a little annoyed about the whole thing. What could she say? She was an impatient woman.
As she pushed back her hair, she watched him come over to her. She carefully set her purse down before she raised an eyebrow at him. "You getting over here or what?" she demanded as she placed a hand on her hip with a bit of a smirk. Of course she couldn't help but feel pretty coy in the first place. The night was young, and this was simply going to be one of many customers.
"Now be a gentleman and hand me my money."

He'd didn't have to get home right away anyway, so there was no point. He didn't like that she thought she could tell him to hurry up.
He noticed she had picked a good spot without cameras around. They wouldn't see him anyway, but a girl falling dead all of a sudden on camera might be suspicious.
He strode up next to her. Her hair was already out of the way, so he gave her a quick glance, then shot out a hand to seize her neck, pinning her to the wall. He hestitated… then bit into her neck, shifting a little until he hit the jackpot: a plump vein.
Her blood came easily, and Lukas certainly drank easily. He paid no mind about killing or not. He drank until he was full, and on the rare chance his poor victims weren't dead when he did get full, he snapped their neck.

Marie never thought that this man was anything but human. The supernatural could never exist. All her life, she had dealt with humans, and that was the end of the story.
So when this man grabbed at her neck and pinned her there, her blood ran cold with dread. She let out a scream as she was trying to struggle and thrash around.
"Please! No! Don't kill me!" she was begging as she was trying to shove him away. Then again, she may have been twenty one, but she was simply five feet and six inches. It wasn't like she had much capabilities to overpower a full on vampire in the first place.
Of course she was terrified of death. She had no idea what she would be expecting, and it wasn't like she had been much of a religious person in the first place.

Lukas didn't listen in the slightest to her pleading. What caused him to stop, instead, was the thumping in the garbage bins nearby.
A human head emerged, quickly followed by two limbs. Someone had been… dumpster diving? He stared at them, then glanced back at his unfinished meal. This was embarrassing, being disturbed during lunch.
He growled, dropping his bags and sprinting towards the person. They didn't realize the danger they were in, so he overtook them in seconds, merely drinking until he was full, then snapping their neck. It was a waste. He hadn't even properly killed the girl yet.
He looked back to her, his now blood-red eyes glinting. "I'll never be satisfied with you humans always crawling about," he hissed. "Stay still; I've got to snap your neck." He doubted she would have enough strength to outrun him.

Marie's neck felt as if it was on fire. She had no idea what was going on. At the same time, she knew that something was incredibly wrong. Of course there was.
She thrashed around before she felt him pull back. She clamped a hand over her neck, which was bleeding profusely, and struggling to get her bearings. Everything felt as if it was on fire.
Her veins were burning up as she was stumbling away and gasping out for breath. Her mouth ached as she was soon feeling her vision grow more blurry. This wasn't how she was going to die. It would be on her own terms in the first place. Of course she wasn't going to give him the pleasure of killing her.
"Like hell you will!" Marie snapped at him as she was stumbling away from him in an attempt to run to the parkng lot as if someone would be there. Of course she didn't account for her legs being too weak from shock, and the loss of blood. Naturally she fell to the ground after a couple of steps.

wow I fell asleep for a long time }}
His meal seemed to argue with his plans. She stumbled away for a few steps, then fell. He had expected such, but watching it made him chuckle.
He walked over to her nonchalantly. Yes, she was getting nowhere anytime soon, so he didn't have to worry. Unless she was insanely determined— and he would've seriously underestimated her— then she was as good as dead.
He frowned. "What happened to staying still?" Then again, what she did in her final moments was no concern of his. If she wanted to waste more energy to make it more painful, so be it. "You've lost a lot of blood, you know. You should be resting," he told her as he came to stand over her for a moment.
He'd never thought about the consequences, but if he didn't kill her soon, she'd become a vampire herself. At least, the process would start. She wouldn't be invincible for a while; he'd have to leave for the whole night for such to take place, but it was possible.

(Lol, nice)
Marie stared up at him with her brown eyes as he was watching her like he did. Of course that was going to unnerve her anyway.
She could feel her heart racing as she was feeling her adrenaline spiking up some more, which made her grit her teeth while she was trying to use her hands, and even her nails to get herself to move.
"Leave-" She gasped as she had to cover her neck as she glared back at him. "Leave me alone!" she managed to say before she could feel herself getting light-headed. Was she going to die? She didn't want to. There had to be more to this kind of life.
She soon managed to get to her feet before she wobbled onto her feet and tried to stumble towards the store. If anything, she could tell the store clerk to call the police.

"Hm. That seems a little too easy. Then again, do you want to become a vampire? You might make a good one," he considered. If she didn't, he could always run a stake through her heart later.
"Yeah, I think I'll let you live. You'll start showing signs any time now. I'm sorry it's extremely painful, but the result is definitely worth a little grit and pain," he told her. It excited him. Turning someone into a vampire really wasn't something they (the vampires) did on a whim; usually it was saved for a human they considered a worthy pet or (god forbid) a human lover.
However, she could definitely make the later if she didn't resent him afterwards. He doubted she would, seeing as he was helping her out here, saving her life and all.

Marie could feel her strength fading before she was feeling her vision fading as she soon managed to slip into the store. It was clear enough that something was terribly wrong, so the clerk called for an ambulance.
She didn't know what was going on even after she could hear some sirens. The most she could do was whisper incomprehensibly in the first place. She could have sworn she saw her mom. That was impossible of course, she had left the family when she had been younger. She groaned before her vision went dark.
A couple of hours later, Marie slowly opened her eyes and kept them narrowed as she was looking around slowly. There was this...feeling...she was getting. On the monitor, there was the reading that she had no pulse. That was impossible, right? She groaned softly as she was slowly struggling to sit up. Apparently all the staff could do was let her neck clot itself...strange. She pulled out the IVs before she sat up straight, and let out a low growl.
That feeling was getting stronger. She glanced to a blood bag that had been transferring into her. How odd... Why was her mouth tingling? She shuddered before looking around and managing to find her dress, which had been cleaned from the blood, but her own skin was still stained with dried blood. Ugh, she would have to deal with that later.
She huffed as she tried to look normal and calm as possible while ripping off her medical band and soon slipping herself out of the hospital with her bag. It was nearly the afternoon at this point... But her skin burned. She winced as she ran towards the forest, where the shade seemed to be the most prominent. She sighed happily in relief as she felt herself cooling down.

Lukas stood by calmly as she entered the store and got help. She didn't really need any, though, because she would turn no matter what, whether she was in a hospital or lying on the filthy ground.
He collected the groceries he'd dropped on the ground. The bottom of the bags were a little wet, but the contents inside were fine. His mother would probably wonder why he'd come back so late from a simple trip to the grocery store. Then again, she knew he had an appetite.
He made sure to wipe his mouth before walking home. Having blood dripping from his chin would be just slightly more suspicious than his red eyes. They would stay red until his fangs retracted, which didn't happen for a while after feeding.
He got home, fixing his mother some dinner before heading to bed. She didn't comment about his eyes or his smile; she rarely did anymore. He figured out if he told her how he fed in gross detail, she wouldn't ask for a while.
The next day, of course, he wondered where his charge had gotten to. He didn't dare travel to the hospital during daylight; he'd have to make the trip during the short window between sunset and the end of visiting hours at the hospital.

Marie didn't count on getting herself tracked by hospital staff. As they dragged her out into the sunlight, she gasped and thrashed around wildly since the sun was making everything burn. she only calmed down as they took her into the ambulance again to actually drive her back to the hospital.
Shen she was being strapped in, the doctors didn't bother to hook her up with a monitor. After all, it seemed as if every wire they tried on her was dead. No one seemed to take into account that vampires didn't have pulses. Even so, she wasn't paying attention to any of their medical talk.
All Marie was thinking about was her need to quench the feeling in her. She had no idea how to even describe it. She didn't know why she would always be looking at all the blood bags that passed by in the first place.
What the heck was even wrong with her? The most she could do was try to sleep off the feeling, which actually came easily to her since it was the day. She had a traumatic day in the first place. She lost track of time as she let herself close her eyes and drift off.

As the sun set, he told his mother he'd be out for a while. "You might want to prepare for company," he told her off-handedly. He didn't wait for a response or acknowledgement before leaving. She was probably asleep anyway.
Lukas headed towards the hospital, stopping by the lobby to ask about a woman who'd been brought in late last night. He described her, and although the nurse seemed suspicious, she decided to tell him the room number, though noting she was probably asleep as she'd tried to run away when she wasn't recovered and had gotten burned some.
He nodded. Burned… ha! She must've gone out in the sun; it was an easy mistake, and he couldn't blame her for wanting to leave the hospital as soon as possible. This place smelled of death.
He stopped by her room, knocking on the door gently to see first if she was awake.

Marie was groggy and unsure of what was real and just a fantasy at this point. Of course they refused to hook her up on morphine since her neck was throbbing with a dull pain. She hadn't been able to see her neck in the first place, but it was clear that there were prominent canine bite marks. They were red and inflamed, with dark marks that seemed to be faint around her skin.
When she heard a knock, she became tense before grunting softly. Maybe the doctor was coming in to see her? She doubted that. God... She didn't think she even had insurance for a freak accident like this. Who knew that her profession came with other risks aside from obvious ones?
She narrowed her eyes slowly, which were becoming more dark, then coloring up as if they were clouds in a shifting sky.
"Who is it?" she rasped softly while wincing.

He waited patiently for a response. By the sound of her voice, she wasn't fully recovered yet, but she was probably nearing the end of the process judging by the time that'd passed. At least he would be here to help her with her first kill-- it would be when she was weakest but also most in need of strength to kill someone. The paradox usually only worked out because a more experienced vampire was around to help.
"I don't think I ever gave you my name," he mused outside the door. Lukas pushed it open, letting himself in. "It's Lukas Fjelsted," he finished. "You're doing well, eh. Have you fed yet?" he asked.
Although she looked more sickly than before, she was still a sight for sore eyes. If anything, he thought it made her beauty more defined.

Marie tensed at the sight of him, and tried to sit up. What in the devil did he think he was doing? She narrowed her eyes before she looked away from him. No. This was the man who attacked her. It wasn't like she was going to give him the pleasure of him talking to her. She turned her gaze away from him as she was gripping her fists tightly.
She had no idea how pale her skin had become. She was clueless to how her eyes were still shifting and sorting themselves to their natural color.
She glanced back over to him before she sent him a sneer, then winced as her mouth ached in protest. Dammit. Nothing felt right or normal anymore.
