(its alright!!)
Sterling could feel the blistering rays of the sun hit his skin as soon as he emerged from a nearby alleyway, and he quickly jerked his sleeves down onto his icy cold pale skin and pulled his hood over his dirty blond hair to protect himself from the sizzling sun. He was out now only because he was starting to get hungry, and it was starting to get late out, which was when Sterling's internal instincts told him it was time to begin his hunt. He hadn't eaten for a couple of days, so understandably he was hungry.
Being a completely-dressed-in-black figure moving down the boardwalks, he did attract a lot of weird and dirty looks from people around him. With his advanced hearing he could hear people whisper to one another, "Wow, here comes the emo..." and "Wonder if he cuts himself." which Sterling did find to be rather uncalled for. But hey, that was highschool preppy guys for ya. Sterling just shook his head everytime and laughed at himself, because boy, if they only knew. Actually, no, because he'd be killed faster than you can say 'Vampire.'.
It was then that Sterling's nose caught something wonderful, something that told him, no, that screamed at him that he had found his meal. His eyes went wide as he could feel them slowly glaze over with a reddish scarlet colour, and he could almost feel the poking of his long and dangerous fangs touching his bottom lip. He smiled to himself as the scent led him to a guy right off the pier, near a couple more people including an interesting looking gal sipping her water bottle, and he subtly just set his hands on the pier's edge and watched the sun slowly fade beneath the horizon. This guy was talking to no doubt his girlfriend on his phone, as he was using a loving tone and Sterling could hear a female voice on the other end. This guy was big and buffer, young and tasty looking. Sterling licked his lips in hunger as he sighed, relishing the warm and Heavenly scent that rolled off of him in waves.
(gonna have him go after another person, so we can follow the plot if that's ok ^^)

"I am absolutely fabulous."
OOC CHATTER - it's no worries. ^-^
sorry for being poofy - ROLEPLAY - Lucy finished off her water bottle and turned around and started back towards the sidewalk, passing Sterling as did so. She glanced at him briefly as she passed, tilting her head with a slight frown but otherwise not commenting on his appearance. She kept her eyes on him as she continued over to a bin to dispose of her trash. She glanced back at Sterling once more. She believed that he was acting suspicious, and as such, she was to keep an eye on him.
She was very aware of the murders that had occurred recently, and though it wasn't her case - she had refused point blank to be involved in it at all because of her cowardice. Lucy took a seat on one of the seats, and pretended to dig through her bag as she watched him.
She didn't know if he had anything to do with it, of course, but she had taught to not ignore suspicious. -

Sterling threw a glance at the young girl as she passed by, but didn't pay much more attention to her as his eyes were already set on the guy next to him. I just have to wait until he goes off, then I can drag him off and strike. Sterling may look like a thin and scrawny guy, but his vampire strength is immense. He could easily take on this guy, who's no doubt a football player, and emerge unscathed, even without his super speed as well.
Sterling's eyes focused on his neck and oh my god, Sterling felt more hungry than before. His tongue scratched along his sharp teeth as his eyes gazed upon the beating artery in the guy's neck, and Jesus did Sterling want to have a bite right then and there. But he had to hold himself back for obvious reasons, but wow Sterling's couldn't wait to sink his teeth in and rip out his throat and just- Sterling felt his stomach growl and if he had any normal human blood in his system, his cheeks would've gone a bright red as the man's eyes drifted judgingly towards him, before just looking back down at the sprawling ocean before them.
Soon enough, the man ended the call with a eyeroll worthy 'I love you' and sighed at the darkening sky, before waddling off down the pier, Sterling beginning to follow behind. The smell was just too good, how could he resist? He just had to get this guy isolated, and then take him out to feast upon. Easy, Sterling's done this times before, this'll be a piece of cake.
If nobody gets in the way, of course.

"I am absolutely fabulous."
OOC CHATTER - - ROLEPLAY - Lucy watched the silent exchange curiously. It was quite odd that this young man was staring at the larger one, and when he started to follow, she instantly felt more suspicious. Rising from her seat, she followed behind too, hoping that her instincts were right. It could be nothing, and yet at the same time it could be something very important too. She didn't know, but even off duty, she was a police officer and it was her job to keep the people in this town safe.
Lucy stayed several feet behind the man and his vampire tail, pretending to not be interested in following them, then again, her head hair was a dead giveaway, and as such she quickly tied it up in a bun and pulled a hat onto it. The hat was a little too small and it read the city's name obnoxiously on it, but it was good for being undercover and it was the only one that she had with her in the small bag that she was carrying. Pausing for a moment to 'check' her phone, she watched her target through her lashes. -

Sterling tailed behind him, trying to stay far enough from him to not attract unwanted attention from his meal, and close to enough to keep him in Sterling's sights. But he could tell that this guy was getting suspicious about the dark clothed figure following behind him, by the twitch of the eye flitting behind him to his breathing becoming erratic and slightly nervous sounding. Sterling stopped for a moment and pretended to watch something on the ground to ease the man's nervousness, before starting up again, only to stop again to feel a pair of eyes on his back. Twisting around, his eyes caught a female figure pretending to check her phone, but little did she know that Sterling could spot the irises zeroed in on the vampire. Pursing his lips, he twisted back around before he could gather more suspicion than necessary and quickly jogged to catch up to the man.
A little while later Sterling had followed the man into a more secluded, quiet part of time, not many lights on and the houses mostly standing empty with for sale on the signs in the yards. This was right by the beach, which was perfect, ease of disposal right there. Three words echoed throughout his mind as his pace quickened, and those were 'Time to strike'. He was ready, more than ready, to feast upon this guy, and he didn't really care if there were any prying eyes catching a glance of this, he'd notice and be gone in a flash. Oh, the advantages of being a vampire.
Sterling let down his hood and soon was right behind the man, his height matching the buffer dude as as fast as he could he shot his hand around and clamped his hand on the man's mouth and wrapped his other arm around his middle. Sterling hissed in annoyance as the man's eyes widened and he started to thrash around, trying to scream for help but no, with someone like Sterling here, he wasn't going to get any. The vampire dragged him into the heavy brush right off the beach and threw him down on the ground, and even though the man tried to escape Sterling wasn't going to have it and landed upon the poor guy with all his weight, effectively taking the breath right out of the man's lungs as Sterling let his vampire self fully take over him this point, and he wasted no time brushing the hair away from this dude's throat and pushing his fangs deep in.
He let out a groan of victory as he blood rushed into his mouth, feeling the man ****z around a bit beneath his harsh hands before it began to weaken, and Sterling drank and drank and drank and felt so good doing it.
(left a lil window of time for lucy lol)

"I am absolutely fabulous."
OOC CHATTER - - ROLEPLAY - Lucy had almost lost them when she they went into the darker part of town, but she did manage to find them, and what she saw wasn't a pretty sight. Ultimately, it was the man's muffled screams of help that drew her attention. She had been far enough away at the time to not see what had happened, looking for some sign, some why to track the people that she was tailing and she was glad for the quietness of the neighbourhood for her to have been able to hear the cry.
Lucy approached slowly, checking silently as she pulled her gun from her pocket. The life of a police officer - she never let herself leave the house without something to defend herself. She placed her finger on the safety, but left it on. She didn;t want to risk shooting anyone if it was a prank. Lucy checked around the corner once more before stepping around. "Hands in the air!" He ordered. -

F/ck. Sterling had been had as soon as he heard that woman's voice tell him to put his hands up. This wasn't good, this wasn't good at all... luckily this man's heartbeat was dying beneath him, and with a couple of hard sucks the blood supply had dried up and the heart under his fingertips ceased to beat any longer. He died. And when Sterling's head turned around he definitely was a scarring sight.
Blood was splattered all over his mouth and his red stained fangs glinted with a dangerous gleam. His eyes were a glowing scarlet red, wide and crazed with the deep rumbling sensation of hunger. He let out a long, drawn out hiss, standing up and giving a lazy kick at the dead man's head. Scowling, he whispered a "And you didn't even let me finish." and trying his best to be cool and collected, when on the inside he was kind of freaking out. This wasn't supposed to happen! Only if he had been more careful when doing this, and hadn't rushed the whole thing.... God he was an idiot. Hopefully this gal won't get a good look at his face, which is why he promptly looked away and carefully put his hands up. But he was gonna make a run for it any second now, that was for sure.

"I am absolutely fabulous."
OOC CHATTER - - ROLEPLAY - Had Lucy been a weaker woman, she would have screamed at that. Her grip loosened on her weapon and it fell to the ground with a clatter and she took several steps back and onto the road, where she nearly tripped over and down the gutter. Her face had gone very pale and she looked like she was going to be sick.
"W-what are you?" Her voice was just above a whisper and her eyes were wide as her eyes flickered over his face. -

Sterling smiled a gruesome smile as he stepped forwards, blood red eyes gleaming with an almost insane glitter. "Something you should not know about. Something that is a bit of a rarity these days. Something that is only seen in myth, legend, and folklore. Something the police have been chasing after for a long time. Something that should just be an everyday normal citizen to you. I'm a lot of things, honey." Again with that cool attitude towards her. He slipped his hood over his face as he leaned down to pick up the gun she had dropped. "Hm, nice. Useless, though." Sterling said, kicking the magazine out and emptying the bullets into the shifting sands beneath him, before just lazily throwing the empty gun behind him.
But suddenly, a rumbling noise caught his attention, something so faint that it was impossible for the other to hear. Sterling peeked upwards, and let out a growl of anger as he recognized the sound as a rumbling of a car's engine, and he gave one last look at the officer. "Also, I'm something more powerful than you could ever imagine." This was mostly just scare and intimidation now, but he just glared at her and said a quick, "Ciao." before bolting as fast as his vampire legs could take him back off into the night, where he belonged.

"I am absolutely fabulous."
OOC CHATTER - - ROLEPLAY - Lucy stood silent, still and terrified for several moments before she slowly stepped towards the man's body. She fumbled at her phone and managed to pull it out to call for an ambulance and a dispatch team to report what she had seen and had witnessed. She knew that she was lucky that she had actually survived and not been attacked by the freak.
Vampires couldn't be real, surely. There was no possible way that they could be real, and even if they weren't in this city? T-this just had to be some kind of freak posing as a vampire for some sick fetish and she didn't know how to feel - how to report this because as a key witness, she would have to go to court about this. Her hands shook and she ran her hands through her hair, the cap fell into the sand and her bun fell loose and she didn't know what to do. -

It was everywhere, once again.
As always, the new murders popped onto the tele on the local news for the townsfolk to see.
"New update on the murders that have been happening these last couple of weeks, dubbed the Vampire Murders by many living here, a new body has been discovered along the beach in front of Sanddune Homes, Oceanside. Officials are saying that one of their own called in to report the murder, apparently also seeing the grisly face of the perpetrator. Police sketch artists have been hired, and although no leads or tips have popped up police are still on the lookout for this mysterious murderer. Back to you, Carol."
Even though this situation made him angry, mostly at himself for not killing the damn girl right then and there, Sterling couldn't help but let out a giggle at how absurd the police sketches were of him. They couldn't get his nose or really anything about his face right! He got a few weird looks from the others also looking at what was going on on the many televisions but Sterling didn't really mind. Or care at all, to be honest. Shaking his head, he started to make his way out of the TV section in the department store he was in, making sure to skirt away from the windows as they let the evil sunlight in and oh, Sterling can't have his skin blister and bubble like a sunburn on steroids.

"I am absolutely fabulous."
OOC CHATTER - it's okay x3 - ROLEPLAY - Lucy had been jumpy ever since the night before and even the senior member of the police had noticed. She had been put on paid leave for a few days to recover from whatever it was that she saw. She hadn't actually slept at all the previous night, and had been doubting herself as to what she saw. For now, she was once again in plain clothes, without her gun - though she did still have her badge - while she looked for a new camera. Though she didn't really need one, she needed a distraction or something to keep her occupied from the nightmares and the visions of horror from the creature that she had seen last night. -

Sterling had kind of found himself in the more electronics part of the department store, he never planned to go there but oh well, it was a much more interesting part than most anything else. Most of this store was human food, which Sterling could kind of consume, but it would hurt like a b/tch (he'd get major cramps and stomachaches and oh it was Hell) and generally it just doesn't taste good. Yeah, one of the things he missed about being human, the food was fantastic but now it all tasted dull, even the smoked salmon he used to love. Shame. But he couldn't dwell on that for two much longer, for he had accidentally bumped into another person standing in the aisle.
"Sorry, sorry!" Sterling said, wringing his hands in nervousness as he stepped backwards and hid under his dark hood. He was wearing some darker greys, not really that different from the blacks he wore yesterday. But hey, he had to protect his skin. "I must've spaced out..." Sterling said with an awkward laugh, staring at his feet, but looking back up as he noticed something vaguely familiar about this gal. Her hair, her eyes, her smell, oh.
It was the girl from last night.
Sterling's eyebrows furrowed in slight anger and lips lifted upwards into a very slight snarl before he caught himself, pushing up his glasses and awkwardly stepping back once more, as to not try and weird this person out more than they already were, no doubt. "Are you okay?" Stupid question, Sterling knows, but whatever. He had to act natural.

"I am absolutely fabulous."
OOC CHATTER - - ROLEPLAY - Lucy jumped back a bit when Sterling ran into her and she let out a nervous laugh. "It's okay." She said quickly, feeling like she recognised him, but she wasn't sure what it was from. She looked away and placed the camera display model that she had been looking out down on the shelf it had been on. Lucy blinked a couple of times tilting her head. "Oh- I'm okay. J-just a bit jumpy is all." She responded awkwardly with a half-smile that seemed almost entirely forced.
"Well... uh," She glanced back at the cameras, feeling a blush grow on her cheeks. This is why she liked working alone. She couldn't socialise to save her life, and unbeknownst to her, being social at this point probably would. -

(awkward and tired posts incoming bc it's literally 2:30 am)
Goddammit, something within the vampire was willing him to socialize. Maybe it's so that he can get in close, and then just dispose of her. Yeah, that's a good idea. It'll take a while, especially with the wrong moves, but eh it was worth a shot. "So, um, have you heard about those murders?" Yeah, Sterling, good going you idiot. Go for the morbid and slightly sensitive and fearful topic around here. Eh, but the words had already been said, and although Sterling did want to take them back and ask another question instead of that one but alas he couldn't. He just shuffled his feet and waited for the awkwardness to take over, the lengthy silence to ensue and then one of them (probably Sterling to be honest) to say a quick goodbye before running off to hide in his corner of shame. Oops.

"I am absolutely fabulous."
OOC CHATTER - - ROLEPLAY - Lucy paled a little. "Yeah." She responded a little too quietly. "I ... uh, I actually saw the last one." she said in a quiet voice. She didn't know why she was telling him this, but something compelled her too for some goddamn reason. She absently played with her hair, tapping her fingers on her wrist. "W-why do you ask?" -
