This is based off of my original idea with events that parallel to parts of the wonderful roleplay that has flourished, but it separate from it. I do give credit to the wonderful people who roleplay this idea for some of the events that take place. I hope you enjoy and I'll be updating as I finish chapters.

Chapter One
Escape
. Gold eyes frantically scanned the surrounding area, the smooth, ivory floors, the thick iron walls painted a black so dark that anyone could mistake it for an empty abyss, void of any light. She'd stared out at that wall a million times; it made her head spin. The golden hues flickered back toward the glass walls, but of corse, it was nothing but steel, rusting bars looking out at a black wall from the inside. A small panel lay next to the silvery doors that stood ten feet apart all down the hallway.
. All throughout this floor and probably each floor, little cameras poked out from the walls, barely noticeable, but like everything, even the ever-watching lenses had blind spots. Namely the walls. The cameras were always facing the halls, but if you pressed up just close enough to the walls, you could go un-noticed.
. She knew that there were many floors with these prison-like rooms organized by letter followed by a number. The first of them were on floor A, tampered with before the faculty here had any organization. It was only about twenty of them before staff began sorting the new ones.
. The floor was ice-cold beneath her bare feet, the simple, ragged, torn, white dress not covering much. Her long, tattered, sandy-blonde hair was the only thing that provided any actual warmth.
. It really was a wonder that she'd been able to escape her room at all, the vents were sealed tight without any screws, they didn't even lift off the walls, it was like they were part of the smooth surfaces and they were too high to reach. But how she got out, that wasn't very important right now.
. She had to focus of escaping the Lab. How? Well that was quite simple, she would use the elevator. Most people would think it was a crazy idea, but they wouldn't if they knew what she knew. The elevators scanned the pupils of the eye, catching the specific space that the iris let in. The people who worked at the lab had a special eye-drop type thing that made the pupil extremely small, just about blinding. She didn't know all the details, these were just pieces she had heard; she'd even been able to exchange words with others who had tried to escape. She looked out at the metallic doors of the elevator and the eye scanner next to it. There weren't any cameras in the elevator, the Lab must have thought it was secure enough with the eye scanner. They were dead wrong.
. She made her way against the wall before casting a glance back at the cameras. She could only hope they weren't looking at this area right now. She brought her pupils to a small, blinding circle and stepped in front of the eye scanner, letting it flash her eye in a brilliant red light that was barely noticeable if she wasn't looking into the thing. Like how a cat could bring its eyes into slits to allow only certain amounts of light to enter their vision, she could do the same by changing the size of her pupils, though her eyes naturally went into slits with bursts of adrenaline.
. She stepped into the elevator, its doors open and welcoming, the area inside a better temperature than the cold of the area she had left behind. She tapped the button labeled lobby and in the wait, she ran a hand along one of her soft, sandy colored cat ears that poked out the top of her head. A matching tail lay pointed toward the floor, careful not to let it swish, her body tense with worry. She was so close to freedom.
. The doors slid open to reveal a room with a desk a bit set to the side of the glass doors and a few chairs set out, the room overall resembling the waiting room of a hospital or dentist. Her heart ran wild in her chest, the blood pounding in her ears. Rather than her eyes dilating with her adrenaline, they formed slits and she sprinted out the elevator, not even caring if the cameras spotted her.
. Her hands pushed against the glass doors and her body broke into the cold air, for one in her life, the smell of fresh air entering her. She ran for the woods. Around the lab was about a half mile of cut grass in all directions leading to the surrounding forest.
. The grass felt unnatural beneath her feet, the bristles sweeping against her soles as she dashed. The forest felt as though everything were stabbing into her feet, twigs, stones, thorns, roots, tendrils, they were all out to get her. She stopped a few yards into the forest and looked back at the Lab, her body shaking with relief, the sight sharp and clear despite nature blocking parts of her view. She turned, adrenaline coursing through her and began running further into the woods again, the sound of alarms roaring to life behind her; the sound was loud, pounding in her ears despite the distance and she had to flatten them against he head to muffle the sound.
