{ The Official Timeline }

I have realized that some of my readers are confused by all the time jumps within my stories and between the stories themselves. On this thread I will make a timeline to make it easier to understand where my stories fall within the time frame I have set up. This timeline will include posted stories, short stories, one-shots, and even projects that I am still working on! (:

Timeline Overiew

*NOTE: I have to leave certain things out because it would ruin some of my other stories. Until I get more chapters up, you are only getting a partial historical timeline.

The Clans of the Valley are all descendants of a long lost group that settled in a bowl-shaped valley in the shadow of a volcano. Relative to the valley, this "bowl valley" is hundreds of miles away to the west. This group became a tribe that thrived for many generations...until the balance between what was right and wrong became skewed. The tribe began to practice sacrifices and rituals that were extremely cruel an in-humane. They forced young kits into training before they were fully weaned off of milk, and the leader became more of a dictator position. This caused a rift to form, and the cats who demanded freedom escaped from the clutches of their persecutors. The tribe chased after them and demanded that they return. Of course, the "freedom fighters" wouldn't have it, and after seasons upon seasons of non-stop invasions and war, the cats of the valley finally won their independence and split into four groups known as MountainClan, GlacierClan, TundraClan, and PineClan. Eventually the tribe was forgotten all together, and the clans were left to make new rules, a code, and a new lifestyle. This didn't mean that the conflicts ended...cats have claws and teeth for a reason.

Itzala's Reign

Itzala was a she-cat who rose up as a leader of the early valley cats just after they escaped the tribe. She became leader of a small group that would eventually grow to become MountainClan, while her brother, Striker, lead another band that sadly died out after a epidemic spread through the valley that Itzala believed to be the evil work of the Tribe. Itzala went on to make many sacrifices, and to become a mother to all the valley cats as she helped protect them from the greedy clutches of the Tribe. Her name would live on, even when the Clans were finally formed and hundreds of generations had passed.

The Blood Wars

Many generations after Itzala's death the tension between the Tribe and the Valley cats break. Full out wars begin to rage in the valley and in the mountain chain that divides the Tribe and the rebels. During this time radical things begin to happen. The valley cats coalesce into one large group led by multiple leaders or "generals" who supervise training and educating of the younger generations about ways to fight the Tribe. The Valley cats also begin to discuss becoming more serious with their rebellion and forming tribes of their own. Among these cats are Avalon, Nathaniel, and Hadiya who are all early contenders in the war. Avalon and Nathaniel were both "generals" of the conjoined valley cats, while Hadiya was one of the talented "soldiers" under Nathaniel's command. Beliefs also begin to shift. After one particularly bloody battle; The Battle of Enchanted Rock, many souls of the dying cats end up in a new realm that became "StarClan". Of course, along with this the "Dark forest" also formed, and the valley cats began to refer to those two realms more instead of the Realm of the Dead and the Realm of the Living which were beliefs they brought over from the home tribe. Soon after this another plane made itself known; "The Between World", also known as the infamous Purgatory. The Battle of Enchanted Rock also produced a Valley cat ritual known as "Hymn for the Missing" where cats hum and purr in sync in honor of their fallen dead who do not have a body to leave behind. Also from this battle the "Tale of the Missing Souls" arises and becomes a popular kit-tale. The Blood Wars ended on a tragic note after the leader of the newly formed Valley Tribe, Eero, is assassinated by an enemy tribe warrior.

Modern Age of the Clans

The age of the clans is one of the longest eras in the Valley history. The four clan system worked well to keep the peace, with gatherings held once every moon on the new moon, and with borders, customs, and a warrior code to keep cats on their own territories with their own clans. The only thing that seemed to cause trouble were the Rouges who raided the clans for herbs, food, and kits. Strangely enough, one clan, GlacierClan, was never raided by the Rouges. Speculations rose from the other three clans, but after the Rouges tried to wage a war against the clans, GlacierClan was there to push them back for every step, halting all rumors that GlacierClan had made a deal with the Rogues. The height of the clan era was during Jadestar's reign as leader of MountainClan. It was also during this time that the Rogues successfully managed to become a clan known as BlizzardClan, but obviously that didn't last long as BlizzardClan couldn't drop their 'rogue-like' behavior as they kept breaking the code. After they were kicked out the Clans returned to a time of peace with few border skirmishes and problems from the rogues. Also during this era the volcano in the Tribe's territory erupted, killing the entire tribe besides one named Jasmine who managed to find her way into the valley. Toward the end of this era...(SPOILERS. SORRY.)
