Maplekit's eyes widened suddenly, and she climbed out of her nest and tiptoed over to the nursery entrance to see if it was true.

Echokit blinked with anticipation, she tried to purr but all that sounded from her jaws was a squeak. The young kit pawed at her mother, laying next to Fernkit.

"Let's go then!" Screechkit chirped, nearly bouncing with excitement at the idea of seeing the rest of the camp. It was a lot bigger than she thought! ╔═════════════════════╗ " ＳＣＲＥＥＣＨＫＩＴ" ╚═════════════════════╝ She ran over to a large den, a few cats still curled up inside. "This is the warriors den! All of our sleepy old cats sleep in here!" She mewled, earning an annoyed hiss from one of the cats inside. "Do you think we could catch it?" Maplekit whispered, quivering in excitement. ╔═════════════════════╗ " ＭＡＰＬＥＫＩＴ" ╚═════════════════════╝ "Oh, I hope so... Maybe you can distract it and I can surprise attack it." She kept her voice down to a whisper, eyes gleaming with excitement. |

Maplekit nodded and crept around the squirrel as slowly as she could manage. She was lucky there were no stray twigs to step on in the nursery, for she had no training and wouldn't make an effort to stay away from them. When she was opposite of Sagekit, she leapt out at the squirrel, her claws unsheathed, expecting it to flee backwards into her sister's grasp.

It's not a-as big since th-there a-are more w-warriors than apprentices." She explained to the younger she-kit, grinning a little as she made her way over to a sweet smelling den. "And this i-is the m-me-medicine cat's den! Redsmoke is a real grouch if y-you try to touch an-anything in there!" Maplekit nodded and crept around the squirrel as slowly as she could manage. Redsmoke? Screechkit had heard that name before, from when she was much smaller. That cat visited the nursery a few times back then, but Screechkit's eyes weren't open yet, so she couldn't see them. The she-kit's attention was drawn to a pile of furry things and one green thing. She poked the green thing, feeling its smooth pelt (or rather, lack of one). It didn't move, which confused her. It had long hind legs, so why didn't it run around?

It grows from the ground as a small little sprout at first, but with enough work, it grows beautiful petals in an assortment of colors..." She purred softly, nuzzling Echokit on her head. "Maybe I'll take you out to see them soon." Screechkit looked up at the (for her) large tom. His fur was red, and she knew that voice... it was probably Redsmoke. "I'm looking at this weird thing," she mewed, poking the green creature again. It was lying among some two-legged things with weird fur- "birds," maybe?- so maybe it was something that lived outside the camp. Birds moved around, though, so why wasn't this thing?

I apologize for the sudden disappearance, I was sent to go to my grandparents and I had no access to internet. I'm back and will be on top of posts since I don't have anything to do. ^u^Screechkit looked up at the (for her) large tom. His fur was red, and she knew that voice... it was probably Redsmoke. The cry was filled to the brim with agony, clusters of cats turning their attention towards the cat who made such a ear-piercing noise. Maplekit let out a squeal of fear, dug her tiny, sharp claws into the squirrel, and tugged as hard as she could. ╔═════════════════════╗ " ＭＡＰＬＥＫＩＴ" ╚═════════════════════╝ The squirrel squeaked a little as it was yanked off of the quivering kit. It's hind paw slapped Maplekit across her jaw before scampering out of sight.

Current Looks: Dark red she-cat with black tipped ears, tail, and two black paws. She had a white mark in the middle of her forehead and a few white speckles on her body. Foxkit has dark amber eyes and a black nose. She is a bit on the small side of the scale, but it is still healthy.

Screechkit's ears flattened at the sudden cry. What was that? Was someone hurt? Part of her wanted to run back to the nursery and curl up in her mother's warm fur, but the curious side of her took over. She took a few steps forward as she tried to see who had made such a terrible sound.

" Mrrow!" Maplekit squealed as the squirrel kicked her. Her eyes spun a little, but she immediately bent down to see if Sagekit was alright. "Are you ok?" she asked. "Did he hurt you?" ╔═════════════════════╗ " ＭＡＰＬＥＫＩＴ" ╚═════════════════════╝ A paw was planted over Sagekit's eyes as she whimpered from the pain, streaks of crimson trailing down her cheeks. "M-My eyes really hurt..!" (Already responded to this, you cannot decide the looks/level. Sorry, I most likely ended up mis-tagging you.) Screechkit's ears flattened at the sudden cry. What was that? Was someone hurt? Part of her wanted to run back to the nursery and curl up in her mother's warm fur, but the curious side of her took over. She took a few steps forward as she tried to see who had made such a terrible sound. ╔═════════════════════╗ " ＳＣＲＥＥＣＨＫＩＴ" ╚═════════════════════╝  A slender apprentice limped into camp, her pelt soaked through. Her lower jaw was hung open, heavy pants coming from her. "B-Blackpaw fell in the lake!" She let out one more yowl, eyes searching around the crowd of cats. Soon enough, Spottedback raced forward, flicking his tail against a few warrior before they followed him out of camp and towards what seemed to be the lake. (You discovered the looks of Molepaw)

Screechkit considered following the small group, but whatever had happened seemed too scary for her. She stumbled her way around the startled cats and ran into the nursery. This was a safe place, away from the chaos outside. The she-kit padded over to the mossy bed, wondering if the other kits would be back, too.  Mousestar glanced up from the nursery nest, smiling as she saw her kit. Her smile soon faded as she realized just how fearfuly Screechkit looked. "What's wrong? Are you hurt?" The mother cat soon rushed to her little kits side, looking over her body for any wounds or anything out of sort.

The words barely registered in Screechkit's fuzzy mind. The little kit snuggled up to her mother's soft fur, her breathing slowing into a steady, peaceful rhythm. Mom was right. Blackpaw would be fine... but a little nap wouldn't hurt right now.
