"Oh, thank you," Eliza smiled "We always have one ready, just in case. His Majesty always likes to see new routines from us. I'm Eliza Cambridge, by the way"
She was already taking her hair down from its elaborate updo - it wasn't inappropriate to do in front of the servant but it did allow her to be able to relax quite considerably. It hurt to have your hair in such tight and elaborate styles all of the time, and that was what it was like daily for her. Not that she should complain, considering how many people had worse lives than her

Emeline smiled at the mention of her brother, nodding thoughtfully. Where did one start with him? "Leopold's twenty-eight, so quite a few years older than I, and I suppose in our relationship, I'm the one being doted on. The age difference is just big enough that we were never playmates growing up, so he could get away with spoiling me. By the time I got old enough to spend time with him, he was spending his time training and fighting. He takes after my father in that way, they're always working. But he's always made time for me, you know? Reading to me or asking me about my day when he couldn't be less interested in my education. Like all Lancasters, he's outgoing and passionate, but with that comes being abrasive and quick to anger. He manages to make it work in his favour, somehow.
"My father retired from his position as commander a few years ago, when he realised he was getting too old and fat to do anything on the battlefield. Leo took over the position, and now he's out with the troops a lot so we don't see each other much. Especially as the wars draw to a close. It's supposed to be symbolic, a Lancaster being present at the final battle of a war." She missed him, certainly, and her tone betrayed this. But he was only gone for a few months at a time, and then he returned for a while. Falling back into old routines was easy, and she'd gotten used to this new normal a long time ago. But they'd been so close growing up that it was still strange to see his seat at the table unoccupied, no matter how many meals it was like that.
"He should be returning soon," she said, considering. "Now that the war's mostly over, he's not needed. He'll stay a while longer, he always does, but you'll meet him soon I think."

(AH, now the time difference makes sense) "Hello, Mr Falkenrath" a voice came through the earpiece "I'm Irene, Ethan's surveillance support. I'm going to need you to leave the house. Wait thirty seconds for Ethan. If he doesn't follow, go back inside. If you go in there and find Ethan's dead body, check him for cause of death. If it's a bullet, chances are he has a pill on him somewhere. If you find the pill, put it in your pocket. It's cyanide. Ethan might end up taking it - spies often take it for a quick death when they don't want interrogation. It might come in useful later if he hasn't taken it, as it's dissolvable in water and is a very effective poison. If Ethan's not there, he's been captured. If you don't see him, wait and go to somewhere safe. Tell me your location and I'll put surveillance on you and keep you safe. And I'll get a fake passport set up for you and you'll be out of the country nice and quickly." (oh thank god i'm finally out of hell school so my replies will be a lot faster)
Well then, This was a lot to take in for Sebastian. "Ja, ähm, in Ordnung..." (Yeah, um, alright...) He had no idea if he was supposed to speak English with her, but in his slight frenzy he didn't - no, couldn't - really care. This had all happened so fast, just a couple of days ago he was welcoming the spy inside. Absolutely insane in Sebastian's book. Letting out a sigh he filled up another smaller suitcase, this time with family possessions and what have you that he absolutely could not under any circumstances leave behind. He changed into different, more concealing clothing, trying to block out the voices of the no doubt Nazis at his front door. "Ich äh, ich bin bei mir zu Hause." (I'm uh, I'm at my home.) He said to her, letting her know where he was.

"You'll be careful, won't you?" She said softly, her eyes glued to her trembling hands. "And you promise you won't do anything uncharacteristicly stupid? Because I don't think I could take it if—if you—" A sob escaped her lips and she squeezed her eyes tight as more tears escaped. "I hate you Isaac Peake. You came into my life suddenly and in one night you brought me more happiness than the people I've known my whole life and for you to just—to just leave like that, and make me suffer so, why it's cruel. And terribly selfish!"

Noticing her her take her hair down Agnes set down the bucket that she had just picked up and walked over to Eliza, "Would you like some help taking your hair down?" She asked, wiping her hands on her skirt to make sure she didn't get any ashes from the fire in Eliza's hair... Wouldn't that just be something, to sully someone's hair who didn't completely ignore her.

Talking of that, your door is going to splinter soon and you don't want to be there when they get through so you might want to run, sir." Irene replied "Ethan's trying to hold the door closed, I think, but it's not going to hold off for long. You need to get out of the house, right now,. If you don't have a back door, climb through a window." Irene sounded remarkably calm, but that was probably just because she was sitting behind a desk in England, and she was in no real danger of any kind. Rather unlike Sebastian and Ethan at that moment in time.

Then I had a part in securing independence for the whole country. And I promise I won't do anything stupid. And I won't miss a day of letters. I absolutely promise you that. I'd write you a letter in the infirmary, if I got injured. That way you'll always know I'm okay, so long as I'm sending letters. I'm so sorry that I have to leave, but if I don't leave...well it'd be a lot worse than me choosing to leave, trust me. And they need me out there. So badly. And America needs this revolution. I really hope you can understand"

Eliza asked "there's just one pin that I think is in there too tight for me to be able to reach it. Once you take that pin out it should just be a plait, and I can wear it like that to bed" She always put her hair in a plait before doing her updos so that when she undid the style she'd be left with a plait. She liked to wear them for bed to stop t tangling too much. She had an evening off from caring for the queen - she had requested one of the other ladies that evening. It was a clear power play, trying to keep Eliza as far away from her, and therefore the king, as possible. It was a good move on her part, since everyone knew that once the king had his eye set on a lady-in-waiting, she would quickly become his mistress and then would likely quite quickly replace his wife.

Sniffling she said softly, "Why are you always so right?" Wrapping her arms around him she said, "I take back hating you. I could never hate you Isaac Peake." In truth, she felt strongly for the man she held tightly, although she wasn't quite sure what exactly it was she was feeling. Closing her eyes, she leaned against him and reveled in the time they had left.

Isaac smiled, pulling her in closer to him "Well I'm glad you don't hate me anymore, and I'm glad that you understand. And if anything happens to me, keep the letters I'll be sending. They're yours forever anyway. And I want you to know that you're the most extraordinary woman I've met"

"Don't think like that Isaac. Everything will be fine, it has to be." Eleanor said softly, trying to reassure herself as much as she tried to comfort him. Tucking her head under his chin, she hummed in content and fiddled with the buttons on his coat.

"Well, that's good. He sounds nice, I look forward to meeting him. His relationship with you reminds me of mine with my little sister, which is comforting" Adele had replied with a little smile. She didn't mention the fact that she very well might not survive long enough to meet this Leopold. If her parents began to cause trouble Adele might not last very long at all. All she could do was hope and pray that they didn't mess up, and that wouldn't help her if they actually did. She hoped that they wouldn't act up, that they thought enough of her to not risk her life, but she suspected that they wouldn't hold off for long. It was almost inevitable, really. With tine and distance they'd grow less attached and they might just end up starting a rebellion. But she tried to focus on the moment, on what was actually happening, instead of her parents. Worrying about it wasn't going to change anything anyway, so she didn't see the point in thinking about it so much, even if it was difficult to stop herself from worrying so much. Emmeline was such a nice girl anyway, and Adele didn't want to ruin a pleasant conversation with her worrying. She could save all of that for later, when she was alone. That was the only way to deal with them properly, when she had the time to deal with them completely,

"Oh I'm sure if they knew I was here they'd never stop giggling. From what I've told them about you they're quite jealous. I'm sure they're planning on offing me so they can have you to theirselves." She mused, smiling fondly at the thought of her younger sisters. "They're twins, quite a handful I'd say. You're lucky you asked me to dance and not them, otherwise you'd have jumped into battle sooner and would have happily died a martyr. Now you have the responsibility of returning to me at once."

( please don't worry, I understand things getting lost. )
Emeline smiled and nodded. It made sense that the familiarity of the relationship would be comforting, especially in a place as unfamiliar as this one. It didn't matter than Leo himself had never been a comforting man, because Adele didn't need to be comforted by him but about him.
She let the subject drop instead, but before she could broach a new one there was a knock at the door. Emeline opened her mouth to welcome who she could only assume was a servant calling for dinner when she realised that this wasn't her room. Technically, she outranked Adele despite that, but the other deserved at least one space to call her own.
So, she turned to her, inclining her head to the door. "It's yours to call."

Adele gave a quick smile "Alright then,, excuse me for a minute"
She went to open the door, only to find a rather hurried-looking servant, who had come to inform her that dinner would be served shortly and that she should make her way to the dining room. Adele thanked the servant and let them know she'd be there in a minute. When they'd gone, she shut the door quietly, before turning back to the waiting Emeline.
"So, dinner with your parents, then," she began "hopefully it'll go well. Might even get your father to warm up to me a little"
Or I could totally mess it up, she couldn't help thinking. She dreaded that she might get something wrong, might say something that would upset the king. To be honest, at best this dinner would be awkward, at worst it would be disastrous. Not a brilliant way for her to be thinking, but she figured she was allowed to be a little bit negative.
