( no problem, it's happened to all of us. also, sorry for a short post! )
Emeline smiled warmly. "Legends are great, I agree. You should be able to find some new ones in here, with the array of books we have there's certainly something new here. Especially since so much of it is from other cultures."
She'd always found those kinds of stories interesting. Stories that belonged in a different land, yet made so much sense here, as well. They were her favourites, and, fortunately, Leo enjoyed them just as much as she. She realised that Adele might have stories to tell that she'd never gotten to explore herself, so she turned to the other girl. "Are there any stories from your land that you've a particular fondness for?" [No problem! x] Adele thought for a second and nodded "Sure! I'll show you which ones are good if you want" And so she went along the newly added shelf for some of the books from her home library, pulling out the best ones, the ones which she thought Emeline should read. "I think you'd like them, if you haven't read them." she said "You should definitely try them. And are there any books from here that you think I should try and read?" She thought it was quite nice, trading books like this. It gave them both a chance to get to know eachother - the stories someone liked could tell you a lot about that person - as well as learning about eachother's cultures. That was what she wanted to do. She had definitely been looking forward to a chance to learn more about Emeline's culture while she was here. I mean, she had to be looking forward to something, right? What would be better than a whole new culture to get used to and to learn about?

A young rebel entered the ballroom, surrounded by a few rather loud and rowdy friends, and was relieved to see that he was only a few minutes late. Isaac Peake was tall and well-built, with angular and well-defined features, a head of dark curly hair, and dark brown eyes. He was pale, though not overly so, his skin halfway to being tan. He chuckled as one of his friends nudged him and muttered something, looking at one of the girls across the ballroom. "Come on, Peake," his friend laughed "Go and introduce yourself. Her friends are looking at you" Isaac rolled his eyes but obliged, approaching a girl who was giggling with some friends. He bowed to greet her, smiling as he straightened up "May I have the pleasure of this dance, miss?" She looked like she might reject him, but his friends had told him to do it, so why not? It was worth a try, wasn't it? Eleanor's friends all stopped their gossip when a handsome man approached the group. Her own green eyes widened when he bowed and she curtsied with a soft smile. However, when he asked her to dance, she began to politely decline when one of her friends quickly said, "She would love to," and pushed her towards the man. Eyes wide, she looked over her shoulder to glare at the girl before she gave a soft smile to the man. "Lead the way."

Isaac had stifled a smile when one of the girl's friends had pushed her forward, overriding what the man had been sure was shaping up to be a polite rejection.
He led the way onto the dance floor, and gave the girl a pleasant smile as a new song struck up and they began to dance.
"I'm sorry, I didn't introduce myself" he realised as they were dancing "My name is Isaac Peake"

"Eleanor Thompson," she said before ducking her head down. "I'm sorry for such rude behavior, it just I've never danced with anyone before. Mother normally keeps such a tight leash, she's watching the younger sisters tonight." Rather than look at his face, she watched their feet closely, hoping to spare his feet from getting stepped on.

"Don't worry about it, you aren't being rude, Miss Thompson," Isaac replied "So, what's a Thompson doing partying with the revolutionaries, huh?"
He knew about her family - everyone knew the Thompson family was rich. Isaac's family certainly was not rich, and Isaac had clawed his own way to the top. He'd taken action to make something of his own life, something quite a few of the revolutionaries around him couldn't say.

"Father is intending to fund the war, mother lives for parties, and my two younger sisters are quite infatuated with men in uniforms," she said, glancing up briefly to study his handsome face before looking back down at their feet in concentration.

Isaac grinned "Ah, is that so? And what are your thoughts on the war, then?"
He was curious - he wanted to learn as much about this girl as possible, for reasons he wasn't quite sure of. All he knew was that there was something drawing him to her, telling him that he wanted to know her better.

"I think it's a chance to begin again, become someone else, you know?" She said, her eyes lighting up. "New ideas are valued and anyone can lead. Although I wish there were less violent ways to do so." She didn't know why she so easily told the man her views on the war, she'd never told anyone else; although no one had ever asked her either.

Isaac smiled "Sometimes violence is the only way. We all wish we could do it another way, but we can't go on like this and sometimes the only language the British will listen to is violence. So that's what we've turned to. But you're right. New ideas are important. And never have people listened to new ideas more than right now"

"Never have I heard such truer words," she smiled before clearing her throat. Studying his uniform, she glanced up at him again and asked, "And what part do you play in this war Mr. Peake?"

Isaac gave a grin as she asked about his role in the war "Anything I can. When we're not fighting battles I write essays and I handle the correspondence of the commanders. Sometimes I even get to talk tactics. Basically, I'm the handyman of the revolution"
He did anything he was asked to, anything that needed doing. Of course, he wanted to command a troop, but he had never gotten the chance. They said his mind was wasted in battle, and they'd tried to stop him from en fighting in battles, trying to restrict him to desk work. But Isaac was having none of it. They said they needed him alive. But Isaac wasn't going to stay out of the line of fire. Maybe it was selfish, but he really didn't care.

"Impressive. I'm surprised more women haven't flocked towards you in hopes of gaining your attention Mr. Peake, you seem like quite the catch." She teased, slowly gaining some confidence. Eleanor, having gotten the hang of their dance was able to keep her eyes on his as she continued, "A charming, handsome and intelligent young bachelor who has somehow flown under the radar? If my sister Sophia heard about you she'd go cross eyed." Laughing, she shook her head and said, "Forgive me for saying that, I promise I'm usually much more mature and ladylike. For some reason, Mr. Peake, I feel quite comfortable with you."

"Ooh, do be careful, miss" Isaac grinned cheekily "You'll have me all overconfident, you will. And you, a beautiful, witty, intelligent young woman, still a Miss? A crime, I say, a crime!"
Done with his teasing, he smiled at her "And for the record, I feel quite comfortable with you"
Of course, he knew why he had flown under the radar. The man was penniless. Surely she had guessed that about him already?

Laughing softly, she gave him a cheeky smile and said, "What can I say? I'm waiting for the right one." But her smile fell slightly and she murmured, "And Mother's waiting for a rich one." Shaking her head, she smiled again and said, "But enough with that, for tonight to hell with formalities! Unless of course you'd rather not, Mr. Peake, it's just it's the first time I'm not being supervised and I just want to enjoy myself for once, is that a crime?"

He had caught the comment about waiting for a rich one, and he smiled.
"Miss, I'm a revolutionary. 'To hell with formalities' is basically my specialty." He grinned "C'mon, party the evening away with me. For one night let's forget that you're rich and I'm penniless. Let's have some fun, shall we?"

"And you may call me Eleanor." She added, feeling giddy already, a wide smile gracing her face as she looked up at the taller man. She only hoped they wouldn't get caught, in the span of one song she had grown to care for the soldier.

Ethan nodded "Oh, alright, thanks. I'm sure it'll be great" With that he picked up his suitcase, heading down the hall and turning the knob, heading into the room. As he had expected, it was just perfect. Sebastian had went above and beyond to make sure the room was perfect, and for that he was very grateful. He'd made Ethan's job easier already. So he began to unpack the things in his suitcase they he could unpack - there were things he couldn't risk Sebastian seeing and some things that simply weren't safe to be just lying around in a room. Those things he left inside. He would get them when he needed them. It didn't take long for him to be settled in - he didn't have a lot, because he had to travel light. So, this was all he had. Not that he was complaining. Sometimes it was great to be able to travel without a lot of luggage, despite the fact that it was vital for his job. [Do you have any ideas for anything you want to happen? Plot events and stuff?] Sebastian secretly wolfed down the rest of his food - he had no idea how truly hungry he was until Ethan had left the room - before making his way into the kitchen and setting down the plate in the sink to be dealt with later. Letting out another sigh, he ran his long and roughened fingers through his hair, whispering to himself, "Es ist in Ordnung Sebby, es ist in Ordnung."(It's alright Sebby, it's alright.) just to calm his nerves down slightly, gaining slivers of his confidence back as he walked down the hall towards his own room, sending a glance at the closed door to the guest room where no doubt Ethan was getting settled into his new living space before heading into his own.
It, like the rest of the house, was fairly decorated, a few traditional paintings hanging from the cream coloured walls as well as some photographs, and just generally the usual you'd expect to see in a house like this. Sebastian gently closed the door to his bedroom, turning right round and sitting on the bed, almost instantly feeling waves of sleepiness over come him as he did so. Again, he really did not realize how tired he was. Hell, he hadn't really seen himself in much of a mirror lately, the one usually in the bathroom across the hall now just broken shards at the bottom of Sebastian's waste basket due to some unfortunate accident, so he didn't get a chance to see the beginning of bags under his eyes or the generally tired look about him. So, he shrugged off his coat and quickly changed into some more breathable and comfortable clothing, before grabbing a book off of the nearby bookshelf and flicking on his bedside lamp. He decided that that maybe if Ethan needed something, he'll be awake for it. No use stumbling around the house half asleep when you're trying to point the spy over to the bathroom, or whatever he may need.
(oh and i just thought of a joke)
(so you know when ethan said that he did not expect himself to be in the center of nazi germany right? well, you could say he did nazi that one coming)

"Your wish is my command, " Isaac smiled. As he led her out he turned to his friends, giving them a little two-fingered salute to say goodbye. They all laughed and waved as he left, leading Eleanor out of the room. Outside of the building stood a horse. "That's my horse. Not the most glamorous way to travel but it gets me places. Ride with me?" He jumped on but left space in front of him for Eleanor to sit

(Best joke of 2017. I'm calling it)
Once Ethan was unpacked he changed into something more comfortable for bed. He'd already checked as he came through and had seen the door across the hall from what he now knew to be Sebastian's room. That must be the bathroom.
With that all sorted he took some time, sat on his bed, to pull a notebook and pen from inside his suitcase. Everything he wrote on it was in invisible ink, otherwise he would have been reluctant to do this. He started writing - he had to write a 'mission log' to write what happened every day. Depressing as it was, it was so if anything happened to him his replacement would be able to continue where Ethan had left off.
He didn't have much to report that day, other than he had arrived, and he carefully made sure to avoid mentioning Sebastian or the address of the house. If this fell into the wrong hands it would be Sebastian's first line of defence. It would stop him from being implicated immediately, provided Ethan wasn't actually captured in Sebastian's house.
(We can do some skipping if you like?)
