There was something about that touch that made Aedan relax a little, that made him feel almost as if the scars on his back weren't there and his ear was not clipped. Something special. "Is there anything else you would like to know about me, then, my lady?" he asked. He didn't want to stop talking to her Marisa smiled some more to him as she gently traced her fingers over his pale skin to keep herself occupied. "Does your skin ever get burned while in the sun? Or have to clouds found their ways to keep you hidden from Apollo's rays?" she asked him with an amused smile on her features. Some of her hair fell into her face, but she only chuckled some more at herself while pushing back her hair into the braid that it was meant to be in.

"It doesn't burn so much as it used to, but yes, my skin burns rather easily" Aedan replied "luckily I spend most of my tine indoors so it doesn't make much difference, I suppose."
He shot herbs little smile over his shoulder, pushing back some blonde hair that was getting generally in his way.

Marisa giggled as she soon pulled her hand away to hide it in the folds of her toga for a moment or two. From there, she couldn't help but smile back over to him, fighting the urge to touch his hair. She could only imagine it to feel coarse or silken.
"I think it is your turn to ask me a question." she prompted him with a smile.

"Right," Aedan replied with a chuckle "Where would you like to go most in the world, if you could go literally anywhere you wanted to?"
He didn't know why he had chosen that question, he guessed that he was just curious and that there was nothing more to his reasoning than that.

Marisa tapped her chin for a good moment or two before she chuckled a little bit. "I would love to try seeing more of the coasts and the beaches, maybe go to a couple of the Greek islands." she said while she fiddled with her braid. She couldn't help but feel a little giddy.
"What about you?" she asked him casually, even though she had a feeling of where he would probably want to go.

"Well, thanks," Ethan replied "but my first priority is making sure it doesn't happen to you." Ethan still felt vulnerable. His body was still covered with scars that would never fade, and his mind was just as scarred. He couldn't trust other people now, that was it. That was all he had learned from that experience. "What did they actually do to you in there, Ethan?" Irene's voice cut through his thoughts "I'd rather not talk about it. I chose not to tell people for a very good reason, okay?" Ethan replied firmly enough that it made Irene go quiet. It was clear that Irene had been trying to use the jokes to try and genuinely find out what had happened. Ethan had never told anyone, and it was obvious Irene had been trying to get him to say something about it for a long time. Sebastian just listened to the two speak, kicking at the rock on the ground as he did so. But suddenly, something crunched and a smell began to assail his nostrils. "Stop!" He whispered at Ethan, following his own words as he stopped midstep to listen for more strange sounds. The border to France is nearly... do they patrol this far in? He thought, biting down on his lip as he tried to listen for more noises.
(short im sorry)

Sebastian wasn't sure he really did want to know. Even thought he was aching all over he didn't want to find out whatever this trap could do to a person, so he just did as he was told like a good boy and kept walking, throwing a worried glance over at Ethan.

He kept a close eye on his nausea, if the feeling were to show itself, which luckily none had, and his stomach was feeling fine. His head, however, was quite the opposite actually. His mind was starting to feel fuzzy, his thoughts becoming muffled and garbled in his head, and that was showed by his suddenly slightly unstable gait. If his suitcase could feel any more heavy than it did now, it definitely took that leap, Sebastian trying his best to focus on the ground and not try and stumble around everywhere. Damn, this affected him fast. What is this stuff anyways? Something scary, that was for sure.

"I think we're both feeling unwell, Irene" Ethan murmured. His head was pounding, his mind was fuzzy, and he felt faint.
"Any vomiting?"
"No"
"In that case you're alright. Trust me, Ethan, you'd know if you breathed in too much."
Ethan was going to give his usual sarcastic comment in return, but to be quite frank he didn't feel up to it at that moment and he wanted to just trust Irene for once rather than being his usual self.
He looked to Sebastian, looking for any further signs of illness. He couldn't see anything, so maybe they had managed the situation well.

Sebastian picked up his pace, but quickly slowed it back down when he accidentally knocked into Ethan. "Es tut- uh, s-sorry..." Sebastian's voice was slurred, as if he was drunk or something, and it certainly felt like that. Which is why he also put his hand over his mouth, limiting his breathing in an attempt to clear his foggy and fuzzy mind.

Sebastian seemed to be feeling the effects of the gas, but since he wasn't vomiting, Ethan was confident that he was okay. That was good, if Sebastian was okay. That meant it would all be fine.
Feelings of illness were already subsiding a little bit from Ethan the more they walked, but not enough to be sure that they were really going, that he was really feeling better, that he was really okay.

Marielle looked around frantically. Was she alone? Just her and the French police, with no other revolutionaries? No chance to escape? She was starting to lose hope when she noticed Antoine, who had just gotten away from some of the police. Did he see her? She certainly hoped so.
She felt a great wave of relief wash over her when he hit the officer that was holding her with the the end of his gun. The officer fell down and she was pulled away by Antoine. She was still afraid, but she was definitely feeling less hopeless.
Maybe Marielle wasn't the best with a gun, but she was a pretty fast runner, and running away was the only thing she could think of to do. She sprinted as fast as she could to the door, swung it open, and ran away from the abandoned building, not looked behind her to see if Antoine or anyone else was following. She wasn't very far away from the hideout, maybe about a quarter mile away, when she decided to stop, deciding that this was probably a safe distance.

Antoine ran out too, deciding to follow the other revolutionary, mainly because he didn't think it was a good idea to get separated right after a raid. Anything could happen. They were safer together, to be honest; alone they could be easily caught, but together they could easily protect one another.
He caught up to Michel just as he slowed down - Antoine had taken a few seconds longer to get out - and stopped for a moment alongside the other male, as he took a few deep breaths and surveyed their surroundings. Well, this whole situation was great. Just great.
"Dammit," he muttered, half to himself and half to Michel "That's the second time we're going to have to change base in as many months. We're going to need somewhere better, somewhere harder for them to find."
It wasn't easy, picking bases. They had to be distinctive enough to be found by the right people, but hidden enough to be ignored by the wrong people. It had to be well-defendable and easy to evacuate, it had to be both easy and difficult to access. It just wasn't easy. Every time they found a decent base, it was raided and they would have to find somewhere different. And every single time the bases got raided it could cost lives. That was also not good. Sometimes, it just got way to difficult to choose the right place.

"Uh-uh" James said as he looked at the princess "Yiu might think I was born yesterday, but I promise I wasn't. Nice try, but you're sitting in front of me. Move forward."
He wasn't an idiot, no matter whether or not the princess thought he was. Evidently she thought he was some sort of idiot, but he clearly wasn't. He wasn't going to give her any chance to get away.
Once she'd done as he said, he sat behind her and took the rains, setting the horse off. It was good timing, because he thought he could hear very distant shouting from the guards.

(Let's just say they were transported back) Julia refused to let go of Harry even during the examination on the ride to the nearest American base hospital. She was tired, scared, hurt, and beyond traumatized. She was like a little baby that needed constant reassurance and love. "Don't leave me." She continued to repeat in a raspy whisper. Harry had continued to comfort Julia as they were led out, and didn't stop during Julia's examination, as they checked if she was okay. "You'll be just fine, Miss Reynolds, provided you have the proper care" the person examining Julia informed them "Your illness is likely down to infected wounds and the starvation - it weakened your immune system and made your wounds more vulnerable to infection. But we will need to put you on antibiotics and keep an eye on you for a while" Having finished with Julia, the man turned to Harry "And you, Mr Johnson? Have you got any infections?" "Yes," Harry replied "just the one infected wound. But I'm fine - I ran a fever and was sick for a couple of weeks but I'm over it now." "We'll keep an eye on you, too, just in case" replied the man before turning to make some notes in a book. One of the agents riding with them turned to Harry "How did the two of you get yourselves caught then?" "Julia confronted a couple of German soldiers who were talking about burning down a cafe and blaming the resistance," Harry explained "And I got cornered and took a cyanide pill. It was a dud" Julia fell asleep beside Harry. She felt warm and safe with him. She clutched him and refused to let him go. She dreamed of a future with this great man she'd spent months in captivity with. She smiled in her sleep. (Sorry about lack of posting here)

The woman glared at him for a few seconds staying were she was, but slowly she moved forward on the horse her gaze still firmly locked on him in anger. Her arms once again were folded over her chest. Mel looked forward as he got up but immediatly turned at the sounds of her guards shouting. It had taken them a long to get there. A princess out ran them; granted she was very tired from it, she still did it. And they were trained for this sort of thing. Mel thought about it and screaming probably wasn't the best idea, he had rope, and probably a bunch of other things in the saddle bag. Having her mouth covered again was not something she wanted to do. So she sat in silence as they raced off he arms still folded in sort of a tantrum like stance. "Oh, come on, princess," James said with a little smile as the pair rode through the trees, lifting branches as they came into their way "Cheer up a little. I'm not half as bad as I seem, I promise you that." Well, okay, maybe he shouldn't have promised that. He couldn't guarantee that he would uphold it. After all, he wasn't always the nicest. But she was looking like a child about to have a tantrum and he didn't want to deal with a royal freaking out. Besides, it wasn't false. He wasn't that bad, after all. He wasn't any worse than any other human being, at least. He was generally quite nice, unless he was robbing you. The horse was gathering speed now - they'd be well away before the guards could get too close. Good.

"Hey, kidnapping and murder threats are all part of the deal with ransom, that's how it works" James replied "And maybe I have very good reasons, you'd never know. Just trust me, I'm not as bad as you think I am. As for where we're going, we're not headed for a cave. I don't know why you think I'm some sort of savage or something. I have a house. Well, I don't technically own it. But nobody owns it so it's mine."
It had been his old family home, before James' parents died and he and his siblings had been thrown out. James was only twelve, and his siblings all younger. They'd all lived on the streets but when James got older and became a criminal it was his base of operations. His siblings had all gotten a home together elsewhere, because James insisted that he be the only one in the family breaking the law. He was a hypocrite, was James.
When he was twelve, he already had a job with a carpenter, involving a lot of woodcarving. But when his parents died he had lost his job, and he had struggled to have other jobs, though he'd maintained other work until he was about seventeen, until he had to turn to…more illegal lines of work. It was the only way to feed his siblings, and the house they now lived in had been bought mainly by James. His siblings were all working now, but they were still just scraping by. It was basically impossible to get a job that actually funded someone's life. No ordinary wage was enough.
