Intro:It’s been days since you’ve last eaten, and you stumble across something that looks like a tunnel into a hidden den of some sort. Desperate for a safe place to rest, and too tired to notice the scents of the other cats, you push your way inside. Once you get through, you realize that you’re not alone. Dozens of other cats are busy, and when you next look in front of you, you see a fierce looking she-cat standing in front of you. “Welcome traveler. I am OrchardStar, and this is my clan. You look tired. You may rest here, if you would like.” Her tail flicks back and forth. “We will cause you no harm, as long as you do not give us a reason to. Who knows, maybe you’ll decide to stay with us. We are always looking for new members” Another cat, a tom, walks over to you and the she-cat. “My warrior here will show you around and make sure you eat. Come and find me if you have any questions” The she-cat pads away, leaving you with the tom.
Territory
OrchardClan is located in a large forest mostly of large pine and oak trees. There is also a river with a very powerful waterfall. The area around the waterfall is good for collecting herbs and such. There is a clearing in the trees not far from camp where the apprentices train, and if you follow the path of the river, you’ll come across a large open space in the trees with rocks covering the ground, huge flat ones perfect for laying out and sunning yourself. Brambles also grow on one edge of this clearing, which the cats use to protect their camp and dens. Camp
The leader's den which is a small cave right next to a tall pine tree, has room for only two cats inside it.
The warrior's den is a big cave on the other side of the leader's den, it has room for a lot of cats in it, and in an area of camp where room can be added if needed.
The apprentice's den is on the other side of the leader's den before you get to the warrior's den and right next to the nursery. It is a cave just a little bit smaller then the warriors den.
The nursery is right next to the warrior's den and apprentice's den. It is one of the safest places in camp. The elder's den and Medicine cat den are in a linked cave on the other side of the OrchardClan camp.
Moon cave
The Mooncave is a cave not far from camp where clan leaders goes to get there 9 lives, and where medicine cats go to consult with StarClan.
Prey:
Mice, Voles, the occasinal rabbit, birds, and other small woodland creatures.
Possible enemies:
Foxes, badgers, and the occasional dog.
Rules;
-Follow all Forum rules
-If you have a more important role, you must be more active then an average member, as characters in power will be needed for many things.
-Do not kill another user's cat without permission from the owner of the cat.
-You can only RP your cats unless another user has given you permission to RP with theirs.
-You can not mentor your own characters. this way, it allows more interaction between clan members
-No kit stealing.
-Please notify me if you want to have something large to happen, such as a patrol fight, badger/fox attack, etc.
-Out of roleplay conversation should be done in; []. {}. or ().
-No making perfect/unnaturally coloured(pink, purple, green, etc)/supernaturally gifted cats. Accessories are not allowed either. (some exceptions may apply later on, ask if you want to discuss this)
-No cats with impossible backstories. (some exceptions may apply, message me to discuss if this is wanted)
-Half-Clan cats, forbidden relationships, and prophesies need to be run by me first.
-Be active or you will be deleted after two weeks. If you have an excuse to be gone, I will allow it.
-Do not make only apprentice characters, please. Try to even out the ratio with warriors, as a lot of the time we run out of mentors for the large amount of apprentices. -Kits must have mothers. -There is no limit to number of character, but please make as many as you can handle. Leader: OrchardStar- an orange and black brindle she-cat with black marking around her eyes, which are a deep amber. A fair leader, she always hears both sides to a story. Loyal and courageous in not only battle, but her daily life. She is devoted to her job as clan leader, but secretly, she wants a mate. (AngelHeart)
Deputy:
Berryblossom- light golden cream fur and dark golden tabby marks, although her tabby marker are more golden orange and more prominet on her face, ear tips, and tail tip. They are fainter on her legs and body. She has medium length fur with a sleek feather like tail, under her thick fur are lean, long limbs with well muscled legs. She has clear crystal blue eyes and pointed cheek fur. She has a posture of elegance and sweetness, which isn't too far from her personality. Berryblossom is graceful with a elegant sleek body which is of average size. She has small paws which make her swift of her feet and a sassy look to her face. Berryblossom is elegant in posture and personality, she also has a different kind of sweetness almost a shy-sweet but she is still confident as very and loves a challenge, she is very teasing and sassy. You could say she is flirt in a way, Berryblossom is very mysterious and enchanting in that way. She has an effect of wanting to no more, not letting anyone in too close. Was born in the clan, only one sister. Mother died at birth and father died protecting the clan before she was born. (Spiritedecay.)

Warriors:
Darkheart - A completely black furred tom with icy blue eyes. He likes to explore, but is very cautious in unknown areas. He has a happy-go-lucky, loyal personality, yet he is very confrontational if threatened. He can be very cruel and cynical to those who seek out to hurt him in any way. His flaw is that he can be gullible. Can be a valuable hunter, but a better fighter. When he was a kittypet, he was very relaxed and laid back. When his owner would come home, he would avoid him. That made him lonely, so he learned to amuse himself. When his owner passed on, he ran off. He sneaked out shelter in a hollowed out tree, and soon made it his den. Eventually, he was accepted into a nearby clan. Since his owner avoided him, that made him very stand-offish, and cautious.(available to be taken over)
Echodawn- Echodawn is a long-furred, silver she-cat with black tabby markings. She has green eyes and the fur on her stomach, paws, and tail tip is white. Echodawn is a rather intelligent she-cat, relying on her brain rather than strength during a battle. She is usually nice and tends to trust a little too easily; she gets very hurt when that trust is broken. Born in OrchardClan. Her brother is Thornheart. (A Little Fall of Snow)
Thornheart- Thornheart's entire pelt is a dark reddish-brown color. He's slightly taller than average and has green eyes. Thornheart is stoic around strangers, but when you get to know him well, you'll learn he's a brave, selfless, and kind-hearted cat. He often worries that he's not strong enough to protect those he loves. Born in OrchardClan. His sister is Echodawn. (A Little Fall of Snow)
Dawnlight- Calico She-cat with silver speckles, a solid black paw, and black ears. She has a slightly mothering personality and is fun to be around and others seem to enjoy her company but she tends to get lonely if no one talks to her. Dawnlight was abandoned as a kit so she strives to one day mother kits that will be great members to her clan (Darkriver13)
Featherdawn- She has long ginger and orange fur with light yellow streaks. She has pretty green eyes with bits of gold in them.
Featherdawn is a kind and energetic she-cat. She tries to look on the bright side even when things are dark. Featherdawn is always willing to lend a paw to help someone. She doesn't like to fight, but will do so if she has too. She the gullible type, and it may take her a while before she realized what she was told wasn't true at all
. She was born and raised in the clan.
Featherdawn would love to have a mate and kits of her own some day.

Thornshade- Golden brown fur with light tabby markings and pale yellow eyes. He has a muscular build and has a nick in his right ear.
Thornshade is a fearless and stubborn cat. He doesn't like weakness or outsiders. He will push himself to his limits and is willing to do whatever it takes for his clan. Thornshade prefers to keep his feelings to himself. He can impatient. He is ruthless in battle and not known to be merciful. He has a sweet spot but doesn't show it unless it's to someone he really cares about. His mentor and his father were tough on Thornshade and had high expectations for him.

Lightningsong- Ginger tabby Tom with one green eye and the other milky white from a bought of greencough many moons ago.
Lightningsong is a very bold independent cat who is very overconfident. He tends to get hurt by trying to do things by himself instead of waiting for others to help or he rushes into situations without thinking.

DuskPelt- a ginger she-cat with brown markings around her bright green eyes, and cream colored ears, and paws. extremely long and fluffy pelt. Kind hearted, and loyal, but can be a bit skittish sometimes. she loves being with her clanmates, and hopes to be a mother someday. she is simply waiting for the right match. she was born and raised in the clan. Cinnamonflame- isn't just one color, each of her individual hair are ticked with there own color. She has vibrant red fur its more of a ruddy red-brown which darkens along the spine and in the center of her fluffy fox like tail. Her fur softens in color towards her chest and underside, although she has medium length with a silky and plush look to it. She has large turfed ears and prominent darker ruddy red lines on her face. She has a sleek elegant, athletic build with long slender legs and sharp almond shaped dark golden amber eyes. Her head has soft contours and a gentle curve, She has an average size and carries a certain grace and elegance to her step. She is swift on her paws, and can be a little challenging. Cinnamonflame gets very jealous very fast, she is also very sly and will tease. She is almost a flirt but has more sarcasticness to her mew than anything, She is quite sassy just like her sister Berryblossom. Although she is friendly and kind, she does have a dark side which is more mysterious and sly. You could almost say she has two personality's. was born in the clan (shadystorm)
Glistenfang- Lean, muscular light-brown tom with sleek fur and pale green eyes. Has a small scar under his right eye Glistenfang is a laid-back, friendly cat with a sense of humor. He never likes to be serious for too long, and will usually try to dissolve tension with a joke or sarcastic remark. It takes a lot to get under Glistenfang's skin, and he can shrug most things off quickly. When he does get in a fight, however, he can become quite viscious, having a bad habit of not stopping unless he is physically unable to. This is a byproduct of living on his own and having to deal with other aggressive cats for many moons. Ex-loner. Has an older brother, Blackie, who he hasn't seen in moons. (glistenfang)
Emeraldsky- average size tom but has long lean legs, and sleek medium length fur. Despite his name Emeraldsky is pitch black but with dark deep green eyes, which is where the name comes from. There's nothing special about him excepted for his eyes. He has lynx like ear tips and a sleek feather like tail. Emeraldsky is very loyal but stands in the back of the crowd but if anything that goes against his belief's be sure to hear something from him, this tom is not scared to speak his mind. Which can result in him speaking before he thinks when he is angry which a lot, when he isn't irritated Emeraldsky can be quite flirty with females. But in a more friendly sarcastic way, sometimes he can go to far. (available to be taken over)
Bluetalon- Brown male w/ blue stripe going down his spine and his ears. Hazel eyes which mysteriously turn blue with emotion. Funloving, friendly, loves most everyone. A bit shy sometimes. History is unknown to everyone except leader, medicine cat, and very close friends. Tells stories of other far off clans and seems to know a lot about twolegs and why they do what they do. Apprentices:
Lightingpaw- Mostly black and white she-cat with blue eyes. She has a small yet slender build perfect for running.
Lightingpaw is fierce, sassy and sly. She is not afraid to speak her mind which often gets her in trouble with the older warriors. Not much can scare or worry her. She thinks that nothing can hurt her and that she can do anything. She has quite the temper and will not hesitate to get revenge on someone. Lightingpaw can be honest to a fault and doesn't understand if you are hurt by what she says. She doesn't realize that her words can hurt others

Her goal is to be the fastest cat in the clan.

Lightbringer - A white she- cat with grey spots and stripes and black around paws, tail tip, and ear tips. She also has unique markings on her face. Her eyes are bright blue. She is standoffish at first but warms up once she trusts, which she does not do easily. Her previous Clan was destroyed and she ventured out to find a new one. (LightBringer)
Kits:
Oceankit: gray and white swirled patterned she-cat with bright blue eyes, and a very lithe, agile body. Very curious and loves playing with friends. often gets into trouble, and loves to bother her brothers and sisters. (LightBringer)
Blossomkit: a white she-cat with a fluffy tail and blue eyes, bigger than average kit. shy and quiet, and a little clumsy. hopes to become a great hunter for the clan. secluded from her littermates, ever though OceanKit tries to get her to play all the time. (LightBringer)
Beechkit: Dark gray tom with blue eyes. Is very caring and thoughtful of others. loves to play rough with his brother gorsekit, and is super protective over his sisters, oveankit and blossomkit. (available to be taken over)
Gorsekit-Black tom with ice-blue eyes. Sharp tongued, fierce, strong. moody and standoffish, he loves his mom more than anything, and is always following her around. does enjoy rough housing with BeechKit, and is also protective over his sisters. hopes to be a deputy some day. Bubblekit- A small blue-gray kit, with gray paws, ears, and tail. He also has clear, blue eyes. A mischievous, playful kit. He loves to go on his own adventures, but always gets into trouble. He is energetic and has boundless enthusiasm (Bubbles)

Spider (rouge)- Spider is a small she-cat with solid black fur. Her eyes are brown. Spider is a rather selfish she-cat. She only looks out for herself and doesn't care if others have to get hurt for her to succeed. When Spider was a kit, she lived with three siblings and her two parents. She wasn't that great of a hunter so her parents kicked her out to fend for herself. The years of living on her own have made her quite good at fighting as she is still a bad hunter and steals most of her food from kittypets and other rogues. (A Little Fall of Snow)
Blackie- Small all-black tom with yellow eyes. Fur is short and spiky. Has a large scar that runs along his back. Blackie is grumpy and short-tempered, essentially the opposite of his younger brother. He has trust issues and as such takes a while to warm up to other cats. While he will usually come off as rude and aggressive, he genuinely cares for those that matter to him, like Glistenfang. Glistenfang's older brother (glistenfang)
Shade- A black cat, with white paws, ears, tail, and muzzle. He was amber eyes. Skinny and small, with a long scar across his face. A lonely young cat who can be fierce when he wants to. He is scared of everything he comes across, and is always suspicious. He does not accept help easily, but won't back down from a fight. His parents were killed by foxes. He has trained on his own to fight them and get revenge. He successfully won the fight when encountering the same foxes again, but received the scar that still remains across his cheek. He still lives alone and has never heard of the Clans. (Bubbles)

~Warrior Code~
1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.
2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.
3. Elders, Queens, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders. If any warrior or apprentice is sick or injured, they may eat while the elders, queens, and kits are eating.
4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires.
9. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
10. A Gathering of all four Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.
11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
12. No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan.
13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.
14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his/her battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defense.
15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.
~Medicine Cat Code~
1. A medicine cat cannot take on a mate.
2. A medicine cat cannot have kits.
3. A medicine cat will never let personal feelings get in the way of his or her duties.
4. Medicine cats are outside Clan and Clan rivalry.
5. A medicine cat may be trained in as a warrior before a medicine cat, but a medicine cat cannot become a normal warrior.
6. Medicine cats are outside Clan rivalries, but they still must learn basic fighting moves.
7. A medicine cat must be able to interpret signs from StarClan.
8. Medicine cats cannot reject an injured cat.
9. A medicine cat must do everything in his or her power to save a sick or injured cat.
10. A medicine cat will give his or her life to save a cat.
Ceremonies
Appointing a Deputy: "I say these words before the body of (name of former deputy), that the spirits of our warrior ancestors may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of (name of Clan) will be (warrior's name)!
Warrior Ceremony: Leader: I, (Leader), leader of (Clan), call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. (He/she) has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend (him/her) to you as a warrior in (his/her) turn.
Leader: (Apprentice), do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?
Apprentice: I do.
Leader: Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. (Apprentice), from this moment you will be known as (new warrior name). StarClan honors your (virtues), and we welcome you as a full warrior of (Clan).
Mentor/Apprentice Ceremony: Leader: (Kit), you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as (new name, ending with "paw"). Your mentor will be (name of warrior or medicine cat). I hope (name of warrior or medicine cat) will pass down all he/she knows on to you.
Leader:"(Mentor), it is now your time for an apprentice. You will be mentor to (Apprentice)."
Mentor walks out of the crowd. Apprentice goes up to meet the mentor.
Leader:"(Mentor), the whole Clan knows your (reasons to have an apprentice, such as courage or loyalty). Do your best to pass on these qualities on to (Apprentice)."
Dying Apprentice Ceremony: Leader: I ask my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. (He/She) has learned the warrior code and given up (his/her) life in the service of (his/her) Clan. Let StarClan receive (him/her) as a warrior. (He/She) will be known as (new name).

~Battle Moves~
Back Kick - Explosive surprise move to catch opponent from behind. Judge opponent's distance from you carefully, then lash out with your back legs, taking all weight on your front paws.
Belly Rake - A fight-stopper. Slice with unsheathed claws against the soft flesh of the opponent's belly. If you're pinned down, the belly rake quickly puts you back into control.
Front Paw Blow - Frontal attack. Bring your front paw down hard on your opponent's head. Claws sheathed.
Front Paw Strike/Forepaw Slash - Frontal attack. Slice downward with your front paw at the face or body of your opponent.
Killing Bite - A death blow to the back of the neck. Quick and silent and sometimes considered dishonorable. Used only as a last resort.
Leap-and-hold - Ideal for a small cat facing a larger opponent. Spring onto opponent's back and grip with unsheathed claws. Now you are beyond the range of the opponent's paws and in position to inflict severe body wounds. A group of apprentices can defeat a large and dangerous warrior in this way. Watch for the drop-and-roll counter move, and try to jump free before you get squashed.
Partner Fighting - Warriors who have trained and fought together will often fall instinctively into a defensive position, each protecting each other's back while fending off an opponent on either side. Slashing, clawing, and leaping together, battle pairs can be a whirlwind of danger for attackers.
Play Dead - Effective in a tight situation, such as when you are pinned. Stop struggling and go limp. When your opponent relaxes their grip, thinking you are defeated, push yourself up explosively. This will throw off an unwary opponent and put you in attacking position.
Scruff Shake - Secure a strong teeth grip in the scruff of your opponents neck; then shake violently until he or she is too rattled to fight back. Most effective against rats, who are small enough to throw. A strong throw will stun or kill them.
Tail Yank - Grab your opponent's tail and yank it with such force your opponent is thrown off balance.
Teeth Grip - Target your opponent's extremities- the legs, tail, scruff or ears- and sink in your teeth and hold. This move is similar to the leap-and-hold except your claws remain free to fight.
Upright Lock - Final, crushing move on already weakened opponent. Rear up on back legs and bring weight down on opponent. If opponent does the same, wrestle and flip him under you. This makes you vulnerable to the belly rake, so it takes great strength and speed.
Half-Turn Belly Rake - Turn onto your side, slip under the opponent's belly, rake it with your claws, then swiftly turn back onto all fours out from under your opponent.
Badger Defense: Leap over opponent, turn on your back legs and bite opponent's leg. Used only when fighting badgers.
Duck and Twist: Simple defensive move. The cat ducks then twists around, rolling over onto their back, and then springs to their paws.
Jump and pin: Complicated move. Leap backwards, and bounce off the wall. With precise accuracy, land on the cat.
Hunting Techniques
Hunter's Crouch- keep your body low with your tail sticking straight out. Hind legs must be ready to leap, and front paws must be ready to pounce. also a good fighting stance.
Fishing Catch- when fishing in a lake or river, keep your reflection away from the water. when the fish comes, quickly hook your paw into the water and scoop the fish onto the surface. finish it off with a quick killing bite.
Squirrel Race- when the squirrel runs up the tree to escape, quickly run up the trunk alongside the squirrel until you are fast enough to block it at the top. then chase it back down and hopefully catch it. very complicated technique.
Bird Leap- when a bird is aware its being hunted and begins to fly up, leap up as high as possible and bat it back down. recommended for older apprentices to learn.
Mouse Stalker- keep your pawsteps light on the ground and try to slide them so the mouse wont feel your pawsteps.
Rabbit Fishing- a technique for when you are desperate for prey. find a rabbit hole and make sure a rabbit is in there. then, silently wait until the rabbit's head pops out. scooping it out like you're fishing, and hopefully catch it.
~Herbs~
Borage Leaves – Increases milk in queens. Brings down fevers.
Burdock Root – Applied to bites. Cures infections.
Catmint – Remedy for greencough.
Chervil – Applied to wounds. It’s leaves cure infections, it’s roots help bellyaches.
Cobwebs – Stops bleeding.
Coltsfoot – Helps shortness of breath.
Comfrey – Soothes wounds. Mends broken bones.
Dock – Soothes scratches. Leaves make fur slippery.
Dried Oak Leaf – Stops infections.
Feverfew – Cools down body temperatures for cats who have fevers or chills.
Goldenrod – Applied to wounds.
Honey – Soothes throats.
Horsetail – Treats infected wounds.
Juniper Berries – Soothes bellyaches. Helps with troubles breathing.
Lavender – Cure’s fevers.
Marigold – Stops infections.
Mouse Bile – Used to remove ticks.
Poppy Seeds – Soothes shock, distress, and eases pain.
Stinging Nettle – Dispels poison. Brings down swelling.
Tansy – Cures cough.
Thyme – Calms anxiety and frayed nerves.
Watermint – Helps bellyache.
Wild garlic – Prevents infections.
Yarrow – Applied to wounds. Prevents infections. Expels poison. If swallowed, will make a cat vomit.
Adder Barrack – Helps toothache.
Alfalfa – Prevents tooth decay.
Aloe Vera – Treats burns and skin problems.
Blessed Thistle – Strengthens heart & lungs; Increases circulation.
Bramble Twigs – Helps to sleep.
Broom Malice Poultices – Apply to open wounds.
Celandine – Strengthens weak eyes.
Chamomile – Gives physical strength.
Echinacia – Eases infection.
Ferns – Used to clean out wounds.
Ginger – Used for asthma and coughs.
Hawthorne berries – Treats heart burns and indigestion.
Huckleberry – Relives muscle pain.
Ivy – Calms down body.
Daisy leaves – Soothes aching joints.
Dandelion leaves – Calms a cat of nervous breakdown or shock.

Name: Snakepounce
Description: A medium-sized, point-eared tom with his two top canines protruding past his upper lip and appearing like fangs, hence his name. He has a skinny frame with a dark brown base pelt and slightly lighter tabby-ish markings on his fur. He is a purebred Egyptian Mau, which is the reason he is odd-looking. His eyes are a soft green and almost always half-lidded, making him appear smug even when he's being genuinely friendly.
Personality: He is a kind, attentive cat who adores others in his Clan and keeps a very watchful eye on them. He can be aggressive when the safety of his Clanmates is threatened but isn't a very good fighter, even if he was taught a few moves in the past.

Description: A light grey she-cat with her left front paw, her tail tip, her right ear, her belly, and her neck/muzzle white. She has a slightly bluish pattern on her that resemble swirls. These patterns are only over the light grey fur but some cross over white. She's a very tall and lean cat with a beautiful looking form. Meadowpool is known for being very beautiful. She as well has a tuft on the tip of her tail. She has bright amber eyes and a wonderful personality.
Personality: She's always trying to help others and is always willing to risk her life for her clan. Given that, she does have a very bad side if you mess with her or do not follow her orders. She is always trying to look after her brother, Lionpaw. She's always loyal to Orchardstar and does whatever is needed.

Personality: He has a very strong personality but as well soft. He cares for his clan mates but he's not very experienced with being respectful. He just likes to make friends and he often wonders off. He gets mad at his sister sometimes because her being the deputy means she tells him what to do. He tries to do his best for the clan but sometimes fails.

OrchardStar is sitting outside her den, grooming herself as the clan cats start to stir and begin their day. As always, her eyes are constantly moving, checking defense of the camp, seeing how the fresh kill pile is doing, and making sure everything is otherwise in order
LightBringer yawns and gets up, shaking her head a little to get the blood flowing. padding out of the warriors den, she finds a small patch of morning sunlight, and stretches in it, letting her body warm up. When she glances towards the leaders den, she spots OrchardStar, and nods a greeting towards her.

Description: A large, thin-furred tom cat with a solid gray pelt. He is larger than the average cat, with a strong, muscular build. His shoulders and arms are broadened with this muscle, giving him a powerful and confident walk. He has deep amber eyes that are often threatening and give him an intimidating vibe.
Personality: Boulderclaw is very harsh and strict, especially on the young in the Clan, as he wishes to see OrchardClan rise above and be the best they can be. This often makes him seem cold and aggresive, as that is how he chooses to portray himself. The morning sun shown brightly on the light gray she-cat's pelt. Her amber eyes filled with wake as she had been up for quite some time. The young deputy rose to her paws, noticing the clan start to stir and her leader awoke. Meadowpool let out a yawn, stretching the last of her wariness away. The grey she-cat stood straight, padding over to Orchadstar and flicked her ear in a soft greeting.
"Good morning, Orchadstar. A wonderful day it is for hunting," she purred, looking around the camp and wondering as to who should go on the Morning Hunting Patrol.
As the sun shown through the cracks in the apprentices den, a yellow tom let out a grunt of frustration. The apprentices around him began to awake, chatting up a storm and stirring up the moss that they lay on. Lionpaw wanted no part in this morning wake up session. He wanted more rest, not to be bossed around by his sister. With a sigh, the elder apprentice rose to a sit and began to groom. He decided that if he didn't wake up, he definitely would be scorned at by Meadowpool. After his morning groom, the young one padded out of the den and looked around the clearing. There, he noticed LightBringer. He would go annoy his mentor. Lionpaw made his way over to the she-cat and flicked his tail in a devious way.
"Hey, LightBringer," he meowed in greeting to the elder she-cat.

When her deputy approached, the leader paused in her grooming. "indeed it is MeadowPool. I think i may join in this mornings hunting patrol, if nothing else needs my attention" OrchardStar meowed in response, getting up and stretching. "how is FernPaw's training coming?" The she cat noticed LionPaw up and out of the apprentice den, and purrs, happy to see her clan mates out and about.
LightBringer glanced at her apprentice. "good morning LionPaw. first one out of the den this morning i see." her stomach rumbled, and she glanced towards OrchardStar and MeadowPool. "lets go see if we can get in on the morning hunting patrol. I'm starving, and you're going to need it. we'll be practicing your fighting moves today" the mentor stood, and beckoned for her apprentice to follow her as she padded across camp.

Boulderclaw yawned, opening his eyes to see the morning sun shining through the den. He shook his head, quickly jumping to his paws and leaning back in a quick stretch. I slept in, he grumbled to himself. The large tom then padded out from the warrior's den and into the stirring camp. He spotted Meadowpool discussing with Orcchardstar and slowly began to pad in their direction, hoping to join an early patrol.

Fernpaw slowly blinked her eyes open, groaning at the early light. She tried using her paws to cover her eyes but it did nothing to benefit her. A huff of annoyance escaped her mouth as she lay on her old mossy bed. Her tail flicked slowly, catching mangy strings of dried out moss in her fur. Another groan. This needs to be cleaned out, the apprentice thought to herself. She slowly rose to her paws, opening her jaws wide in a yawn. After a quick stretch the young apprentice gathered her bedding into her jaws and headed out into the camp, ready to find new moss for her bed.

OrchardStar notices 2 of her warriors approaching, and gives a nod in greeting to each. "good morning guys. Are you ready for a morning hunt?" she asked, stretching one last time before glancing over the group. She also notices FernPaw carrying old moss out of the apprentice den, and watches the young apprentice for a moment.
LightBringer nods eagerly, and her stomach rumbles again. glancing at MeadowPool, she purrs softly. "hey MeadowPool, if you have time later, maybe you and FernPaw can train with LionPaw and i" she suggests, happy to spend any time with her friend.

Meadowpool nodded to her leader, she'd make sure to keep that in mind. Seems like many of the cats wanted to join the hunting patrol which was good. She'd organize it after a bit of socializing. The she-cat looked over at LightBringer and purred in response. She'd be fine with it.
"I'd love to. Speaking of which, where is Fernpaw?" The deputy looked around the clearing, searching for the young one. Eventually, her amber gaze spotted her carrying out the moss. She'd let the apprentice do so for right now, and then it would be time for their duties.
Lionpaw listened to his mentor as she spoke to his sister. He rolled his eyes in reply as Meadowpool got to work. He hated how far in power the she-cat was, how come he couldn't be? Well, he was just an apprentice and others say he has some issues with respect. He wouldn't make a good deputy for now.
"Do we really have to?" He grumbled, not wanting to be bossed at by his sister.
Meadowpool glared at her brother and nodded her head. She wasn't going to let this young one tell her what she can and can not do, whether he was her brother or not.
"Yes, you have to."

LightBringer layed her tail on MeadowPool's shoulder for a moment. "LionPaw, if you want to be a deputy someday, you have to learn some respect" the she-cat chided. "and anyways, maybe we'll switch apprentices at some point during the training, and you can practice with your sister. maybe even beat her" she suggested, wanting to give the apprentice something to look forward to. she knew how hard it could be to train when you had nothing interesting to look forward to.
OrchardStar padded over to the freshkill pile to sort through it while she waited for everyone to be ready to go. she often did this in the mornings, to make sure there was nothing there that would get a cat sick if they ate it. most of the time she didnt find anything, but she did find a rabbit this morning. she brought it over to the back entrance, and pushed it outside, making a note to have an apprentice bury it later on.

Boulderclaw dipped his head to both the leader and the deputy, remaining steadily besides them. His gaze turned to Lionpaw at the young cat's comment. The warrior's eyes narrowed, but he did not spreak. He kept his gaze stern as he lifted his head and scanned the camp for activity. It seemed much of those awake would be joining the patrol, which meant more prey for the Clan. Who will remain in camp to protect the rest of our Clan?

Fernpaw glanced briefly towards the forming group in camp, but turned her head to continue on with ridding of this disgusting heap. If they need me, they'll come to me. The young she-cat headed just outside the camp where she dropped her old bedding. She then continued on in the forest, heading in the direction of the waterfall to dip her toes, and also search for freshly watered moss near the river.

The deputy dipped her head to LightBringer in thanks for the remark. Meadowpool rose to her paws, shaking her fur and passing the group. She licked her brother on the head and purred before reaching the center of the camp. She looked over at the prey-pile, they could live with some more prey. Meadowpool scanned the camp, noticing the amount of cats that formed. But, she didn't see Fernpaw. She rolled her eyes, she'd go after the she-cat but she had to get this patrol together first.
"Time for the Morning Hunting Patrol!" She called, looking around the clearing and the cats that were beginning to gather. She loved being deputy, it gave her a sense of pride.
"OrchardStar, you lead the patrol of Boulderclaw, LightBringer, Lionpaw, and Fernpaw if you find her. She should be near the water fall. I'll stay here to help look out for the clan if anything happens," the deputy dipped her head to her leader and flicked her tail to send the cats off.
Lionpaw shook his head when his sister licked him, he rolled his eyes and gathered to listen. He'd be in the patrol. The young one looked around the clearing until he spotted LightBringer and he sat next to her, waiting for OrchardStar to lead them off.

"thank you MeadowPool" The leader purred before padding over towards the entrance. "alright everyone! lets get going. LionPaw, why dont you show me how your hunting training is going, and you lead the way." OrchardStar suggested, her tail waving gently. She enjoyed being able to join patrols, especially with the apprentices. it gave her a chance to see how their training is coming, and to give her an idea of appropriates warrior names, when the time came.
LightBringer nudged LionPaw forward, eager for him to lead a patrol. She was hoping that the apprentice was paying attention, and didnt embarrass himself, or her, in front of their leader. the rays of light filtering through the trees outside of camp warm the groups fur, as they all head out the entrance.
