I just liked her because she believed in following the rules.

Tbh, I'm glad that the Erins didn't give Hollyleaf a power. She wasn't healthy with her obsession over the warrior code or mature enough to deal with it. I mean, look what happened when she discovered the truth. Hollyleaf snapped and almost killed her own mother.
Hollyleaf, in my opinion, wouldn't have respected others and she would have stuck close to the warrior code like glue. Nothing would remove her for it or her loyalty to it.
I remember a time when Millie wanted to keep her name, Hollypaw made a big deal about it. She felt as though Firestar was breaking the warrior code.
And when Sol was trying to take over ShadowClan, Hollyleaf flipped out and she was having anxiety over this. Even Lionblaze and Jayfeather told her to calm down.
Hollyleaf would not have been the right one to have a power. She wasn't even good enough to be deputy around that time. When she came back, sure, she would have been great for the power, but I am honestly pretty satisfied with what the Erins did to her and I'm glad that they never gave her a power, because she would have never had the development the Erins gave her.

Exactly, you explained pretty well how I feel towards Hollyleaf.

I agree with this wholeheartedly, lol. That's what I was saying. If they gave her a power like they originally intended they would have screwed up her character.

I think she could've still have a power and developed, but it would been taken in a completely new direction... The obsession with the Warrior Code probably would've taken her over more than they already had, and she probably would have tried to use her power to reinforce that... Maybe something would snap her out of it, but I have a feeling it would either be too late or everyone would be too terrified of her and her power to do anything to stop her...
I think the development she would've had if she had a power at the time was completely turning evil and deconstructing absolute loyalty to the Code, which would have been interesting in its own way... Unfortunately, that was not meant to be...
