Have you ever done this? If so why? What is your opinion on it?
I got three shelter cats i named Echo, Dapple, and Violet. They are all some variation of Tortoiseshell!

The only cat I got after reading the Warriors series was my youngest, and I knew I wanted to name her after a character. I also wanted my husband to have some part in naming her (he has not read the books), so I took him over to my collection, had him pick a book at random, then pick a name out of the front of that book, and that would be her name. Being how he is, he intentionally found the "stupidest" name he could, which ended up being Squirrelflight.
