If only it was... I'm not sure you can, really. It's more... Me, I guess. My personality. Alas, I'm about to get up and get them myself. What's the issue?

Oh dear, a Negative Nancy, Greeny? Like T says, everyone needs to complain but having it as a personality trait must be exhausting.

To be honest, nothing much here either Snow. I saw some dogs. They all seemed very important at the time. How's Ron? Not trained him to bring you the Oreos? Dogs! Always good to see dogs. Ron's fine, sadly the Oreo-training process was interrupted by him eating the Oreos and getting poisoned from the chocolate! Kidding, of course.

I kind of worry that it drives people away. I mean, I'm naturally a bit of a misfit. Always have been. Yet I try my hardest to be that sort of person who always listens and is willing to help someone to the best of my ability. Yet there's a part of me that fears people see it as me being desperate or annoying. Really, it's just a whole cycle of failure when it comes to who I am.

That brings up echoes of the girl I used to be... to quote the man who saved me, 'get out of your head' idk, it's worth a try at least. *shrug* But trust me, I know how hard that is.

I still haven't moved and neither have the oreos. It is almost 1am so I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't have some, but I'm hungry. Have you considered seeing a therapist? Sounds extreme, but plenty of people go to see therapists for less-than-extreme reasons and usually benefit from it. I've considered it myself, but I'm too lazy. Obviously it's easy for me to say "just stop worrying, relax, don't care about driving people away, be yourself", but it's easier said than done.

I've been going on lots of walks with Dad since he's been knocking about the house since he lost his job, so lots of dogs to see! Ah, yeah, I can see that'd be a problem with unsealed Oreos.

I haven't for that, actually, but there's a part of me that considered it for other reasons. Yeah, truly is. Even if I tried that, though, who I am most of the time isn't really a good alternative easier. Yes, I'm loyal, but also very irritable, and quote gloomy at the best of times. Oh, well. Still, thanks for listening! Might poof soon.

Lore, what he meant by that was stop over-analyzing, beating ourselves up, agonizing over every little thing, playing out worst-case scenarios before anything even happens, withdrawing into our own minds instead of interacting with people...

Oh, er, he sold the company to someone who appointed another guy who put up the costs to clients by 50% then wondered why they'd made a massive loss. Dad had been telling them what would happen since Christmas. I guess he was an easy person to get rid of? He wasn't really happy there at all, but it hasn't been very easy. He's getting a lot better now though.

Realise and internalise the fact that other peoples' opinions of you are not important. That's not to say you can't improve upon yourself. We are always growing and learning from our experiences, so just be the best you, you can be, don't hold yourself back.

Hopefully! At the moment he's just sort of being around the house. Though he did do the hoovering the other day. Came into my room while I was still asleep and hoovered in my general direction until I wasn't.
Lore, I'd say your intentions to be a good person count for more than any flaws that your mind is magnifying for you.

Flaws? That reminds me of what the Japanese do with shattered pots. They use gold and piece the pieces together into a masterpiece. So you may have shattered, or have flaws you hate, but they all turn out into a beautiful you
Let me find a picture real quick

Ah, well, he's a wise dog, as I can confirm from my experience being woken up by one that hoovers are evil.
Oooh, pretty!
