It's one of those old-fashioned love stories... Only with dating sites and the Internet

Oh, yes. Twice. First he came all the way to my house, and the next time we met in Pittsburgh, which is roughly halfway between us. And on the 17th, we're meeting again!

Oh, he had to charm me as one earns the trust of of a feral cat. I didn't really think anyone would want me, and he slowly, steadily proved me wrong. Intense philosophical discussions started the bonding, which his in-person caring (and most excellent kisses) then cemented. As he says, he fell in love with my mind first, so when he says he likes my lookin', it's not at all shallow

Never been in love. My first boyfriend proclaimed his love on the first date and he wanted a emotional relationship but I wasn't ready for it. I feel so bad for hurting him.

Never been in love. My first boyfriend proclaimed his love on the first date and he wanted a emotional relationship but I wasn't ready for it. I feel so bad for hurting him. Well... We went pretty fast in the scheme of things, but even we waited until the second date This is my first anything that went beyond digital. And I'm 25. And though it hurt being alone so long, I'd much rather have waited and just done it once.

If I may just chip in here, can't say I've ever been in love or anything like that either. What's it like?

I'm still learning satisfaction in being single, 'sides I'll be leaving for college once I have my funds and long distance relationships would work out to well. Especially with my anxiety

If I may just chip in here, can't say I've ever been in love or anything like that either. What's it like? The feelings, or the conviction? Because it requires commitment for it to be real. Feelings fade, and if you're not determined enough to press on and rekindle them, there's no point in even starting.

Romance is the bonus as my sister-in-law tells me. Which I have to agree, what with all these marriages and divorces. People want temporary and emotional satisfaction to last a lifetime. That doesn't exist.
Quick question (since romance is not my field): There's this guy at work who bopped me on the head with a box of crackers he was planning on buying and I looked at him and he smiled back at me and said, "Hey." then walked off. Did he flirt with me or something? I have no idea at all
This is why I don't write romance

First, I was very very careful. I don't let my feelings get involved until I'm sure of the big stuff - same religion, same basic outlook on life, same (or complimentary) life goals.
Don't follow your heart. Never ever do that. Follow your head, and when it's safe, toss your heart along after it.
Next, look at what you want. I don't have a 'type' other than older than me, healthy, able, competent, confident, sweet, funny, caring, etc.
Bonus: stable life and income, owns a house, not in debt.
