I'm playing around with this, since I'm seeing how it works with a fixed background vs. my usual type of background.

broken, Hime, Minted (Sorry for the poof. I just got horizon zero dawn and have been playing that a lot.) (Minted, Eragon and Saphira can also detect when someone tries to enter one of their minds and can block it before anything can really be done to them.) Cool! I'll keep that in mind if I ever decide Kasha should cause some trouble. Just so I know what wont work.) |

"I've walked enough. Plus, I just feel out of a tree. My ribs hurt and I'm not in the mood to walk another half mile back the way I came." He rolled his shoulders, trying to work the stiffness off, before taking a few steps forward. Then he took one back and gave a small bow to Akira. "Newbies first." He honestly couldn't remember whether he had or not. But the vampire didn't have to follow. "Conan," he finally explained to Arlo. He kept silent, allowing the new companion to rant and vent. Then came the invitation, he nodded slowly then returned his attention over to the portol. It was baffling how Rin pulled that off without much effort. He needed his cell phone to pull off the trick, but now was not the time to think it through. He looked down before back at the portal, then walks for it. Be didn't hesitate walking through it, and soon enough he was on the other end, he turned go silently wait for monarh.

Auransky broken (She can run into Kid or Conan.  Conan's at a hotel and Kid's in the middle of a city, by a clock tower.) He followed Akira after a couple extra seconds. "You don't talk much, do you?" Monarch noted about Akira. That didn't really need an answer. Monarch talked enough for two people. He felt his pocket, where his broken computer was strapped to his side. It was probably even more broken now. Why he still carried it around, he didn't know. Maybe it was because it held most of his life in it. His career. Everything that made him Monarch. Without it, he was just Lincoln Gilroy. After what Rin had said, his eyes flashed. Was it that thief? Or maybe someone else from his group. He didn't say anything, but his attention didn't waver.

He adjusted his glasses turning to see Monarch in the process. He shook his head to the question before shifting his attention from his glasses to a small piece of his hair, playing with it for a moment. He listened in on Rin, she mentioned another group. More people, which is good, but also what kind of people? Anyone he knew? Probably not, but still it was a possibility. The change in Monarch's eyes, certainly caught his attention. It was a look he was far too familiar with within people. He gazed away for a moment, to let Monarch breathe it out, before speaking up. "Something, troubling you?" He asked softly. Trying not to dig into it, but it was a notiable expression.

"This other group is quite nice," she said, beginning to lead the way down the sidewalk. "However, would you two like to take a tour of the town or should I lead you straight to them?" She turned one of the corners, still listening in to spwhat they were saying.

It was hard, as most people he had met had had a personality that he had clashed with. Akira was quiet, which worked well with Monarch. "A tour might work for me," he said easily. It would mean they wouldn't run into the other group so soon.
