He pushed his hands deeper into his coat pockets. He was a little flustered. This boy had a better weapon then he did, and he didn't like being outmatched.

Kakashi gave an exhausted sigh, "My name is Kakashi Hatake." He mumbled, rubbing his temples before putting his hands together. "Flame Jutsu." He muttered, and a flickering flame appeared on his palm, illuminating the alley. "I just got here, yet I know more then you do..." He snapped, "We need to work together to get out of here."

(A little late, but welcome Flamepelt) mintedstar/fur "Oh that helps, yes," Mikaela muttered, staring at the information. He frowned slightly. Even though it could clearly be seen, it really didn't help much. The places on the box sounded like made up names to him...he couldn't tell if it was a joke or the real thing. The vampire eventually shook his head. “Turn that back off, it’s useless.” -- Hime, Mint Shiro only nodded, not saying anything as she held out a hand for the dog so smell. Eventually, her brother even came into view. “Shiro! Don't run off let that!” Sora shouted, soon stopping once he was close enough. “But congrats on finding someone else...uh, who is this?” “Kaitou Kid,” Shiro said, taking a side step away from Kid, whispering, “the group isn't going to try anything…” |

The dog sniffed human Shiro's hand, and Hozuki followed soon after. The demon looked to the young man standing behind the girl and narrowed his eyes. "Kaitou Kid, what a strange name," he murmured, one hand going to his chin.

Monarch's eyes narrowed. He didn't much care for this boy. He seemed so...proud. And Monarch knew quite a bit, but he wasn't going to tell this guy. "And how do you suggest we get out of here? We are stuck in another world. Do you have some portal making abilities or something?"
Monarch sounded really skeptical, but the flames in the boy's hand had him wondering. He hadn't seen magic before, and hadn't known that people who had come to this world could possibly have any fantastical abilities.

Conan switched the flashlight off and sighed. The names were completely useless. But there might be something in it that could help.
He easily tore off the cardboard and it revealed...
Conan's shoulders sagged. "That is completely useless."
He held up a stuffed teddy bear, which was heavily with water. It had been laying on a pile of cloths, just as wet.
"I think they have a leek in the back room," said Conan. "These things are wet."

"Well," said Kid. "It's actually Kaitou 1412, but that's even stranger. It's a number assigned to me by Interpol. But then some reporter met a famous author and it became a really long story."
He stepped out from behind the human Shiro and held out his hand for the dog to sniff.
"Just call me Kid. Nice to meet you."
Once again, he studied their faces. But no one seemed to know the name and his heart fell. It seemed that the only one here he knew was Conan. That was a really, really disheartening thought.

Kakashi shook his head, "No. I have a feeling that even if I did, I couldn't..." He looked down at his hand, muttering, "Especially if this has something to do with the Atasuki." He looked at Monarch and gave a soft sigh, closing his visible eye. "I apologize for my rudeness earlier, I'm just a bit stressed out." He chuckled, "Yeah, just a bit." He opened his intense gray eye, the flickering flames reflecting off of his eyes, illuminating his masked face. "I think we should try and find as many other friendly people as we can and work together to get home. I have a feeling this isn't just an accident, someone's behind this." The silver-haired ninja's gaze met the others, and he paused briefly before continuing, "Sound good to you, Monarch?" |

"About as good as any idea I've come up with," said Monarch dryly. But he agreed that they need to interact with more people.
He's here, thought Monarch. If I kill him here, will he stay dead? If so, then the boss may finally start recognizing me as part of the team.
But Monarch knew he was weak. He needed allies. So he'd play along. He'd play the game.
"There are more people back that way," he said, pointing behind him. "I can't say whether they are friendly or not."

Kakashi nodded, and closed his palm, the fire disappearing. "I've gotta keep my chakra up, just in case they aren't friendly..." He explained, reaching down and pulling out two kunai, and holding them in his hand. 'Keeping my chakra up for as long as possible is crucial... Especially if the Atasuki have a part in this.' He thought, narrowing his dark gray eye. |

Kakashi raised a brow, but chose not to respond. He fell in step beside the man, gripping the daggers, ready to defend himself if he needed to. He kept himself alert, listening to everything and looking at his surroundings. Little did the Shinobi know, he had missed something incredibly important...
Itachi - Hidden In The Shadows Of The Alley
The Ochiha slowly stood up, dusting himself off. He looked around, his piercing red eyes taking in every detail, the boxes spread around the alley, the dripping pipe, the long crack in the concrete. Itachi narrowed his eyes upon hearing voices. 'Is that... Kakashi?' He thought creeping forward to look, being sure to stay hidden. He was right, it was the silver-haired Copy Ninja. The rogue ninja inwardly groaned, 'Great, I don't know where I am, but I've gotta constantly watch my back so Kakashi doesn't slaughter me.' He rubbed his temple, and continued to watch the exchange between his old friend and the strange man.
'Actually, I don't have to watch my back, because the fool isn't watching his... I could kill him before he could fight back... But first, I need to separate him from anyone who could interfere.' Itachi sighed softly, 'Patience, Itachi.' He told himself, 'If I stay patient, then I can get rid of this nuisance quickly, once and for all.' |

Monarch's eyes drifted, catching something the ninja boy hadn't (mostly just because he was used to looking into dark places and picking out the hidden person. It was just part of his job). He saw the man in the shadows and for a second his eyes met Itachi's. But Monarch simply turned and continued, not say anything or letting any new expression cross his face.
Because he'd seen the dislike for his new companion in this new person's eyes and knew that sometime, maybe sometime soon, that these two would fight. And Monarch wanted none of it.

"Thanks," said Conan. "How's this for detective skills. This place has had someone in it recently. Did you know that?"
He pointed at the Post Office boxes along the wall. They looked plain and ordinary, but you had to get really close before you noticed the scratch marks by the keyholes. The damp masked any human smell, so Mika probably hadn't know anyone had come here. Unless he had a really good nose.
"I think our friend Monarch got into here as well."

Itachi stiffened as his red eyes met the other man's gaze. However, he let himself relaxed when the stranger simply shrugged and continued walking. He let his eyes drift over to Kakashi, and he scowled. 'He knows something's up. I'll have to especially careful now.'

"There's no way someone was in here recently," he replied, looking to the boxes he was pointing at. "How can you be so sure? Those scratches could be made by an animal or something..." He doubted even that. He hadn't seen an animal in this place yet. "And why would Monarch want to be here?" -- Hime, Mint Sora lowered his gaze from Kid to look at his sister, then a true the other two. "A city?" This had been their goal, but he didn't want to make the deduction for the rest of the group. "What do you all think about this? Want to stay in our camp or head to the city?"

"I saw something," said Monarch. He knew this would put the man in the shadows on edge and Monarch smiled inwardly. Monarch bent over and picked something up off the floor. "See," he said, holding what he'd found out to the boy.
It was a piece of paper torn from a newspaper. Monarch glanced at it, then pretended to read. He had already seen this issue of the paper and had already read it. "This city were are in is Tokyo and it seems the natives were victims of a nuclear explosion."
He figured this was passible cover for the man hiding in the shadows.

Conan shrugged. "Probably the same as us. But he seems to be one step ahead of us. He has probably been keeping at least one eye on our progress, though he isn't anywhere near. I mean, that he knows were we will go and hit these places first to make sure we don't find anything we can use."
He walked over to one of the boxes and double checked the scratches. "These were definitely made by lock picks. If they were made by an animal faint scratches would be on the metal. An animal isn't this precise."
He gave the vampire a 'you didn't catch that' look. Which he reserved for just about everyone.
"On top of that, he probably came here before the bookshop, because if he'd come here after that the scratches wouldn't be so...clear. The sun was setting by the time we left, so these scratches also show that it was full daylight when he was here."

mintedstar/fur (Ok i probably won't be on until much later) Mikaela stared at him, uncertain whether to believe it or not. It didn't make any sense why this person didn't want them to find out anything important that they could use, but who knows. Maybe this child was good at his work and he epwasnt giving him enough credit. "I should have known you would have payed that much attention to detail. We should keep this in mind as we continue our search," he replied. He was just surprised he wasn't able to sense a human had been here earlier, but it made sense in a place like this... He ripped the tape off of one of the scratched boxes and opened it up, searching through the items, though he didn't find anything useful just clothing and a few other small items. "Do you think he's already cleared this place out?"

Conan had guessed that Mika had been changed into a vampire when his family died. It had been easy enough to guess. But his dislike of humans and distrust still didn't add up. (I kind of knew all this before I read the first volume. Also, you never know. If you randomly read manga you are bound to hit one of the characters RPed here sooner or later.) -- (I'll respond after Flamepelt does. )

(Hey, I was surprised too. Actually, I'm a little mad, because I finished book one in like, one sitting and my library doesn't have book 2. Which was very shocking, because it seems to be a well read series.) brokenConan nodded. "Yes. I do want to know. And a seraph is a type of celestial or heavenly being in Christianity and Judaism. Conan placed a finger to his lips, thinking. "Well," he said. "That is puzzling. And what is your position in all this? I mean, what are you doing about it?"
He looked out of the dark windows. The sky was so bright with stars that it told him that no towns or cities were active. No light pollution. He could see so many stars.
He wondered what the others in the world were doing.
He turned back to Mikaela, waiting for his answer.

Hozuki walked over and placed his hand on the dog's head to calm him down once more. "I would like to see the city as well, I am not feeling tired or anything, but if it is safest to stay in the forest right now then I guess there's no helping it," he said.
