Conan nodded and said, "Well, there really isn't any advice that I could give you that you could use. Not if we are stuck here. But it seems that you and this army's leader are in a circle of distrust. You don't trust humans and they don't trust 'bloodsuckers'. If one of you doesn't give up and start trusting, you'll never hear the other out. I'm guessing the army leader is human. Does he know you are a vampire?"
Conan studied Mika. Apart from the pale skin and ears he looked like a human.
(I'm assuming that he has the usual pointed ears of vampires that the manga series uses, correct?)

Kid smiled at little at Shiro's excitement. "Well, if most of you want to go to the city, then I can take you." He tried to remember if any of the buildings he'd climbed would make a good resting place. A few could of them could work. "I can find a building that would be a good place to spend the night."

"Yes, this army's leader is a human and he knows that I am a vampire; I am wearing the vampire's clothing after all," he muttered, then looked away as he slowly began to walk away again. "I didn't expect you to have anything that could help me, because not only do I dislike humans but vampires, too." He paused at the exit, glancing back. "We should probably get going." (I guess so  that would only make sense. It was never shown though) -- Hime, Mint Sora blinked at the guy, nodding. "Then it's settled, we are all headed to the city!" He exclaimed, pointing at Kid with a grin. "And we would gladly accept your help in spfinding us a building to stay in!" Shiro continued to watch silently, walking to her brother's side.

Conan followed, sighing. As soon as Mika finally thought he could notice things that he couldn't, he started to doubt him again. "Well then, you really should feel sorry for yourself. You don't have anyone on your side."
Conan's eyes were cold. He was getting tired of this. "Fine. You are out of luck."
He stalked ahead of the vampire. He didn't look back, but started talking. "I was visiting an amusement park with a classmate when we witnessed a murder. I found out who did it, but got suspicious of a couple of men wearing black. I followed them and saw something I shouldn't have. One of the men snuck up behind me and knocked me out. They gave me poison, which was untested and should have killed me. But it didn't. Instead I got stuck like this."
He gestured down at his body. "Since then I've been looking for a way to get my old body back. I can't tell anyone my secret because this would put their life at risk."
He turned and looked back at Mika. "There. I trusted you enough to tell you everything. It's that easy."

Kid smiled. "Okay then. We aren't that far." He turned around, letting his cap play around his ankles. He started walking, looking up at the sky. He was trying to guess the time, because he didn't have a watch. He needed to meet back up with Mika and Conan. But was he supposed to take his group with him or not?
He decided that he'd take the group to a nearby building and then go find the old bookstore. From there, he could ask whether the vampire and the detective wanted to meet them.

It's obvious what a little detective would even help me with something that’s not in his own world,” Mikaela grumbled as he trailed behind Conan, glaring at him. He listened to the story without interrupting, but once he had finished his story, the vampire smirked slightly. “Oh, so you're trying to tell me you are not a little kid? You sure do like lying, huh?” He waved his hand dismissively, tilting his head back some. “And was that you're attempt at trying to tell me I should trust you? If so, you need to try better because that's not going to change my opinion about you anyway, but thanks for that information though. Even if you are lying.” Mika fell silent again as he quickened his pace to try to take the lead again. -- (And I might wait on this for Hime.)

broken(Could possibly cut it with a knife, if either of them had one. Cut it with a sword maybe? :3 ) Conan didn't let the vampire have the lead, but he also didn't get angry. If fact, his whole demeanor changed. He smiled a little. "Actually, that wasn't my intention. I was trying to distract you." They were now out in the street again and Conan breathed the night air freely. "I have no way to verify my story. But then again, the only thing you can really verify in your story is that you are a vampire. When it comes down to it, I chose to believe it until proven true or false. Either way, it wouldn't affect me." -- (Yep.  )

(Hey Clover!) mintedstar/fur(That would work xD) Mikaela scoffed and looked away from the boy. “I do not understand why you wanted to distract me with this, but that probably isn't very important,” he took a deep breath, looking out into the darkening streets. The only light was the moon’s light, which did very little. “Enough of that, I'm not trying to make enemies with you. We will obviously need each other to try to figure this place out.” On end he was finished speaking, he pointed in the he direction he thought they had come. "Let's get back to the bookstore." |

Shiro watched with bright excited eyes and looked up at Hozuki. "So we're going?" he asked.
"Yes, it seems so," the demon replied, nodding to the dog. He adjusted his grip on the club resting on his shoulder and continued walking on in a thoughtful silence. Eventually he looked over to Kid, a question on his mind. "Is the city populated?" he asked.

Conan finally let the vampire catch up to him. "Fine," he said. "And yes, we should head back."
He walked in silence for a while. He couldn't figure out what to say that wouldn't cause a fight. It wasn't like he had anything in common with Mika. Besides that fact that both were probably older then they looked.
So Conan focused on keeping his balance as he made his way over the torn ground.

Kid shook his head. "No, no one lives there anymore. The city is in bad shape. It looks like the wild has taken more of it back."
He pointed ahead of himself, to a dark shape in the darkness. "Look closely at that. It used to be a car."
It was covered with vines and a tree was growing out from the top of it.
Kid had noticed that the walking had gotten just a little easier. In the darkness it was even harder to tell, but they were probably walking on an old road out of the city.
"It seems that the only inhabitance of this world are a girl call Rin. She says she's the one who trapped us all here."
Katio knew that he hadn't explained anything of what he had just said, but figured that any questions the group asked would help him explain.

Hozuki nodded his head. "I see." As darkness fell his steps slowed slightly, but his eyes quickly adjusted. He glanced to the dog by his side and noticed that he seemed to be doing fine as well. Hozuki studied the car as they walked past before moving his gaze to other objects in the dark. Even though he knew it wasn't, the place still reminded him of areas in the Underworld. "It was a girl who brought us here? Interesting," he murmured, holding his free hand to his chin.

He was mostly just thinking to himself, wondering if Kid had actually found anything or anyone. “Are you hungry at all?” The vampire asked, looking down at Conan, then looked around, trying to pick out anyplace that might have food. “We can probably stop at one of these places and look for something for something.” He shrugged. “I’m not really sure if there will be anything though.” -- Minted, Hime "That sounds impossible! Who could be that smart to cause something like that?" Sora muttered, mostly to himself before looking down at his stepsister. "What do you think about this." Shiro only shrugged as she thought of somehing to say. "Is it possible to break the universe like that? She could also be lying."

broken(Nope. Don't mind at all. It's very handy, actually. ) Conan nodded. "Maybe if there is some packaged food. Or some types of canned food." He started to look around as well, but since there wasn't any streetlights anymore it was hard to make out any faded signs. What looked like a parking garage was on one corner and a street sign hung by one hook just down the street. It creaked as the wind moved. Conan squinted at it, trying to make it out. If this was Tokyo, then maybe he could find his way. But the city was in such bad shape that he could hardly recognize his own home city. -- Hime and broken Kid shrugged. "It's possibly she was lying, I guess." He didn't think she had been, but it wasn't the time to say that. Instead he pointed to the next line of trees. "The city should be just past there." Things looked different from the ground, but he was pretty sure that this was the same place he'd crossed into the woods in.

If not, looks like we will have to find something in the forest," he muttered. -- Hime, Minted They both continued to follow quietly for a minute, then when he announced the city was nearby, Sora clapped, running to his side. "That's great! Is there any way we can pay you back for your help?"

(Hope you don't mind that I like your posts. I know some people really hate that. It's a habit though, from the WCF. )
Conan shrugged. He was okay with finding something in the forest. He'd been camping before and was fine with fish or something like that.
The one problem, however, was the lack of wildlife. And the fact that this place was supposed to have been destroyed in some nuclear explosion.

Kid hesitated at Sora's enthusiasm. "I don't need anything. I was just looking for a group to join up with. At this point, in a place like this, I don't think it's a good idea to start counting favors. Consider you meeting me as payment."
He looked at the outskirts of the city, eyes oddly blank.
Something was bugging him. It was to quiet.
(I really want to blow something up or something. But Monarch doesn't have that kind of firepower. In fact, he doesn't even have a knife. But if this world had internet accuse, watch out!
Got any ideas for what we could do to have the heartrate of some of these character go up a bit?)

mintedstar/fur(No not one bit it also helps me xD) "I could probably find something later if we don't come across anything while we're heading back," Mikaela stated, crossing the small clearing with the fountain in it, though he stayed closer to thenstore windows- or what was left of them as he searched through them. Soon, he gestured over to Conan (who knows if he saw it) as he headed into what looked like a market of some sort. -- (Well there are monsters/enemies from all different worlds trapped here (even if no one has joined as a character from that world yet), so they could always get attacked by someone/something XD)

But the quite was making him really uneasy. When he'd been in his hang-glider the wind had drowned out any sounds. But now that the sun had set and the only sound was of their footstep...well, it almost made you wish for some action. |

Conan noticed Mika pointing and followed the vampire into the market. He stepped over some broken glass, careful that he didn't step on anything.
His leg was much better now, but it still hurt a little. Kid's makeshift splint was working well.
Conan looked around, realizing that he'd lost sight of Mika when he'd been picking his way through the glass.
The market was deadly quiet. Conan frowned, not wanting to call out. But he had no plans to be surprised by anyone.
He placed one hand on his watch, looking around.

(Yes that would be a problem. And even better, the people in this group have no idea what the thing is xD) Minted, Kuragehime Sora and Shiro remained quiet as they walked around, listening to the other three talk. The guy nodded, looking around some. “I don’t know how I like this so far...hopefully the city isn’t as creepy as the forest at night…” Shiro nodded in agreement, not really paying any attention to the conversation as she examined their surroundings. The little girl blinked and froze when she heard a sound coming from in front of them; the clear sound of something other than them breathing. mintedstar/fur MIkaela continued to look through the store, not caring that he had lost sight of Conan. He figured he would have to trust him enough to know that he wouldn’t run away in a place like this, and if he did, he could track the boy easily. The vampire had managed to find a few bagged items and picked them up, shoving them into an old tattered bag before continuing through the store, picking up a few things here and there. |

Shiro the dog's ears pricked, he had also heard the noise. His tail stopped wagging and his eyes went wide. He sniffed around, but no strange scents had reached him just yet. He bit Hozuki's yukata and tugged on it lightly. "Hozuki, did you hear that?" he whispered.
The demon nodded, the sound had indeed met his sensitive pointed ears. The grip on his club tightened, but there was no change in his normal stance aside from that as he spoke to the group.
broken, I was wondering if I take out Elias, Chise, and Ruth and replace them with different characters? I changed my mind about rp-ing them xD]]

The human Shiro looked around from where she stood, seeing a huge bug-looking beast towering over the trees as it was now close enough to see, swiping a few trees out of the way to get a look at the group.
Sora blinked, spinning around. "D-does anyone know how to fight?!"

"I have some experience," Hozuki said. He slid the spiked club off his shoulder and held it swinging slightly at his side. His gaze stayed on the giant bug-like creature. He had never seen anything like it even during all his travels, further cementing the fact that they were no longer in familiar territory.
