Graystripe is a horrible father

I agree with absolutely everything here. Graystripe is especially unfair to Millie who has been around for him longer and helped him get motivated to find his way back to the clans. She deserves better in that case.

Like I said before, I feel like he was only a super "good" father to Feathertail and Stormfur because: Silverstream's from a different clan and she died, so he HAD to be there for them, plus, he was very young and had lots of energy and emotions and never dealt with this tense of a situation, so he felt even MORE determined as a father. Keep in mind that he left his clan because silverstream died and he's a first time father. Millie is a different cat. She has more attitude and more sense of self. She's also a first time mother, so she's very over protective, maybe it has to do with being protected and pampered as a kittypet? we don't know. Graystripe, as the father of the 3B's, has the experience and has gone through so much in his life now. This is how i think he truly is as a father. if silverstream was originally a thunderclan cat and she lived, he'd act like how he is now despite being a first time father. millie's alive and in his clan, there's no reason for graystripe to be paranoid about his kits' wellbeing. he sees them everyday. i am not defending real life parents like this, but graystripe has gone through a lot

To be honest I don't think Graystripe has ever genuinely cared for any of his kits.

With Stormfur and Feathertail yeah he cared about them but from the moment they were born he cared more their mother than them. Graystripe was so wrapped up in Silverstream he didn't pay attention at all to the fact that his kits were alive and well despite their mother's death. He didn't even bother to try and find out the status of his kits he just assumed they were dead also, until Fireheart found him and told them they were okay and safe.

And actually I feel like Graystripe's relationship with Silverstream was borderline obsessive. His relationship with his kits was obsessive because they were all he had left of Silverstream and despite the fact they were being taken care of by a trust worthy queen, he had to be forced away from them to actually participate in warrior duties.

When Feathertail dies the only thing Graystripe can say is "It's not fair she was so much like Silverstream" Instead of acknowledging his daughter as her own individual with her own traits, he instead compares her to his dead mate.

He shows no concern or even inquires as to what happened to Stormfur after Brambleclaw, Squirrelflight , Jaypaw, Lionpaw and Hollypaw come back from the mountains.

He tells Jayfeather he'd rather Jayfeather save Millie and not her kits.

I don't think he genuinely cared for any of his kits. He showed concern over Stormfur & Feathertail in the Original Series but again it hadn't even been a year since Silverstream's death so his over-protectiveness likely came from the fact that he acknowledged that they were all he had left of Silverstream and didn't want to lose them so soon after losing her. But his attitude toward his kits has always been reserved.
