Hated her at first because I thought she was boring. But as I got older I could relate to her calm, caring personality more.

I actually really enjoyed her cool, caring, and bold personality because she was sometimes a decent mix of Lusa and Toklo, being both happy-go-lucky and quite serious and stern. She wasn't that interesting at the beginning of the first series, other than her being my favorite type of bear, but she grew on me in later books. Kallik was very noble in a sense that she took her ice-spirits very seriously, and when she was on the ice again in Fire in the Sky, she made sure to show the group how great it was. She did have a tiny rivalry with Toklo about who would lead them, showing that she was the most capable other than him, which made perfect sense to me. She is such a great mix of kind, supportive, courageous and blunt that is respect-worthy. My least favorite part of her, however, is how posessive she was over being Kissimi's only mother figure and making sure she listened to be Lusa and the others very forcefully. I know it was a mix of sympathy for Kissimi since he had no mother anymore, but she would even snarl at them, daring them to go against her keeping him as her own. Kallik is generally my favorite, but she definitely had flaws.
