i really think the erins overdid these plot ideas for the oots arc. i mean ivypool was jealous, blossomfall was jealous, tigerstar, breezepelt, mapleshade.. all dark forest warriors wanted revenge, and they definitely used romance to give dovewing development.
while ivypool did have development she could have been written better
same with dovewing, she didn't need tigerheart to get some development, she could have developed on her own
the blossomfall & millie situation was obviously an excuse for her to go to the dark forest to get attention
i just really wish the erins were more creative with this arc, ivypool is cool and all but they could have tried better, she's just your typical underdog who's jealous of the popular one.
