As I was working on a Dovewing rant earlier (which I will not post), I wondered if it was partly Jayfeather's fault as to why Dovepaw and Ivypaw were separated.
Dovepaw wanted to tell her sister about the prophecy but he told her no. In a way, while she did have Lionblaze and Jayfeather to support her, she had no one. Dovewing wanted to be with her sister through everything from the very beginning.
Jayfeather and Lionblaze both had Hollyleaf. Dovewing even said so herself that they had each other. But he cut off the conversation as they talked about Hollyleaf.
Was Jayfeather just not fair about the prophecy? He forced Ivypool to become a spy when she didn't want to. He told Dovewing not to tell Ivypool about the prophecy.
Ivypool was jealous because she didn't understand Dovewing's powers until she decided to tell her after Ivypool discovered the truth about Tigerstar on her own and then she finally became a part of the Three, supporting her sister. They both stopped fighting and started to get along again.
If Jayfeather just let Dovepaw tell ivypaw from the start about the prophecy, would this have helped them and their friendship? It wasn't fair how he told her no but he told both Hollyleaf and Lionblaze. Yes, he thought that Hollyleaf was the One, but still. He had both of their siblings. But he forced Dovepaw to accept that she's special and has to deal with it on her own with them.

Yes imo, cause really sure Dovewing had Lionblaze and Jayfeather to talk to but really talking to you sibling is much more fun and better than talking to other people unless you have a bff or someone else.
