Hey, so Brambleclaw's suffix is claw. I don't like that, I think Firestar shouldn't have done that. That was Tigerstar's suffix, and Brambleclaw likely wished to forget about his evil father. I think Firestar got a bit carried away on feeling suspicious about Brambleclaw. I am really pissed off.

Eh, I don't care for the suffix really. So I am like I don't care much about and don't think deeply about the names of cats.

I don't see a problem with it. Brambleclaw was named after his father, yes, but I'm pretty sure the point of it was to show that Brambleclaw could still be a loyal cat despite this. Firestar even purposely mentions loyalty at Brambleclaw's warrior ceremony and as evil as Tigerstar was, he was still a good warrior especially in terms of fighting, which Brambleclaw also was.

I don't mind it, although back when Squirrelflight and Leafpool were still apprentices, people were complaining about the similarities of the names and how confusing it was…
I think if he wasn't named Brambleclaw, he could've been named Bramblethorn, Bramblestrike, Bramblemask, or even Bamblebush.

i like to believe that he was named after the Warrior Tigerclaw should/could have been. Something like, Tigerclaw used his claws for evil but Brambleclaw can use his for good.

I like the name Bramblestar because thats a powerful name but Brambleclaw seems shallow and only is about his dad. Bramblestripe, Bramblethorn , or Bramblestrike would work better.
