"Oh hey Skypaw...", He growled. Anger flushed into him touching noses with Poppypaw. In return, Hawkpaw brushed against her and tried to make Poppypaw see his wound he got from himself." I do hope she gets better though.",Hawkpaw replied to Poppypaw jealous Skypaw was trying to make her like him. Poppypaw flicked Hawkpaw's ear with her tail and gave him a look," Be nice you two or I'll go hunting by myself." Completely unaware of Hawkpaw's wound, Poppypaw nodded at the toms comment," I wonder if I'll have a new mentor for the time being." "Hawkpaw." Skypaw flicked his ear but didn't turn around until Poppypaw began to speak," Maybe you could train with me and Mooncloud! " He said excitedly as he listened for movement on the ground, so he could hunt. "Okay Poppypaw anything for you.",Hawkpaw purred licking her ear. Following Poppypaw he asked,"So we're do you want to go hunting at?" |

Skypaw chuckled at Poppypaw's excitement," Poppypaw you're scaring away the prey." He teased the she-cat.
Poppypaw stopped her movements," Opps. I forgot...Sorry." She laughed.

Without waiting for an answer she padded out of camp with Skypaw following behind. Larkpaw followed Lionpaw ," I'm going with you. You need to get that wound checked. It looks like it's going to get infected.." Larkpaw said quietly as she walked next to Lionpaw, making their fur brush together. Snowheart watched Poppypaw leave and looked at Hawkstripe," I guess it'll be just you and me then." Hawkstrike held back a purr of excitement and joy. However, he jumped up to his paws with his tail waving happily from side to side and said, "I'm ready if you are, Snowheart." His face looked exponentially brighter, now having some of the awkwardness of sitting there doing nothing, being lifted off his shoulders. |

Blacknose crouched down slowly, waiting for the hawk to swoop down. After a few moments, the hawk tucked in it's wings, and plummeted straight down, it's talons extended. It reached the mouse in no time, and at the exact moment it's talons sank into the flesh, Blacknose leaped. "Now Stoneheart!" he yowled.
Cinderpaw crouched in the bushes. She saw Blacknose leap, and decided that she would help catch it, for bragging rights with the other apprentices. Cinderpaw raced from the den, disobeying Blacknose's orders, and jumped onto the hawk. It lifted slightly into the air, bringing Cinderpaw and the mouse with it.
Blacknose saw a flash of red fur in the corner of his eye. "Cinderpaw, get back!" he screeched. The hawk rose into the air, and Blacknose slid down it, snatching the now dead mouse in his claws.
Cinderpaw heard Blacknose, but kept clawing at the hawk.Oh, Blacknose, please kill it! The bird, now free of some of the weight holding it down, shot into the air. Cinderpaw's back legs dangled off the ground and she looked down. Nope, bad idea, she thought. Cinderpaw could see FernClan's territory, she was so high up. Cinderpaw sliced at the hawk, finally getting a good swipe in, clawing it's chest open, killing it instantly. "Oh, no," she started to say before plummeting through the air, the rocks quickly approaching. "Blacknose!" she screamed. "He-" Her sentence was cut off as she hit the rocks with a deadly thump.

A small smile was plastered on Hawkstrike's face as he walked, with a slight jump, beside Snowheart. He drew in a sharp breath as the chilly wind cut through his fur. "Will you be okay?" he asked the she-cat, fluffing his own hair.

I'll get some ointment to put on it while getting the mouse bile." he entered the Medicine den. "It feels good to know you worry about me," he meowed softly, touching his nose to Larkpaw's cheek. When he broke away, he noticed Berryleap and Littlestar. "How is she?" he asked quietly, before calling out, "Driftcloud!" Berryleap shrugged. "Better than before. She's sleeping peacefully now." He got up and stretched. "Are you alright?" he asked Lionpaw, glancing at his side wound. Blacknose stood frozen in shock as both Cinderpaw and the hawk came crashing down. "C-Cinderpaw?" he called nervously. When she didn't respond, he sprinted to her side. "Cinderpaw!" She was laying on her side, with one of her back legs twisted underneath her. A trickle of blood ran from her slightly parted mouth. Her chest didn't rise and fall like it should have. She didn't twitch and open her eyes. She didn't crack a smile or make a weak joke. She was still. |

(Yes! Maybe when that happens, Hawkstrike also begins to doubt everything and like they drift away and they have to come together again by something and yeah. I really don't know what I just said because my mind is always jumbled this late at night ) "Good!" Hawkstrike mowed quite happily. He walked for a while before remembering they were supposed to be hunting. "So..um.. Have you smelled any prey nearby?" he asked Snowheart, sniffing the wind doing his best to pinpoint any scent. |
