Which still makes me question that scene in CP where he calls Snowfur and Whitestorm soft and seems almost happy that Snowfur is dead since it would keep Bluefur distracted.

Was it confirmed he really loved her? Yup. Vicky confirmed it recently on her FB... even though she previously said that she thought he was incapable of love, but at least we finally got that cleared up. In the same post, she said that Tigerstar genuinely loved Sasha (in his own way). |

He probably loved her, but then the Dark Forest got a hold of him and corrupted him... Maybe he loved her until he found out he couldn't corrupt her and that she was soft...

I never really interpreted it as that way tbh. I always saw it as, "He's soft like his mother..." and then just dismisses it from there. I never saw it as a deep insult in anyway, but he was probably still bitter toward Bluestar. Also I thought it was obvious he loved Snowfur considering how much hatred he held toward Bluestar after her death, blaming her for everything.

It is pretty said, and you're right, Thistle never really did anything but was overambitious, so the Erins had to make up some sort of excuse to make him "evil" hence him training with Silverhawk in CP. This is why I'll always be annoyed and frustrated over Thistle's character, it just wasn't handled properly. |

It is pretty said, and you're right, Thistle never really did anything but was overambitious, so the Erins had to make up some sort of excuse to make him "evil" hence him training with Silverhawk in CP. This is why I'll always be annoyed and frustrated over Thistle's character, it just wasn't handled properly. (also goes with ur previous comment on how he was still bitter over blue) Honestly the book is poorly written in that even though you're supposed to hate Thistle and love Blue, due to the shoddy writing they can be read as both good AND bad. For better or worse :'^) in better hands he would've been an interesting villain but ah well |

My headcanon is that his over-ambition led him to choosing the Dark Forest so that he can still plot and try to achieve power from his grave instead of staying idle and at peace in StarClan. He didn't know what he was getting into, and got corrupted in the Dark Forest. |
