relocated Riverclan

Riverclan is on a well-drained triangular piece of twoleg land flanked by a river on 1 side, by a large thunderpath on a second side, and by a smaller thunderpath on the third side.. Across the large thunderpath are our allies, Leafclan, not one of the Four Clans but friends who have helped us out as we have helped them. In fact, they invited themselves into our fight with Darkclan, since many of their members died because of Darkclan’s leader, Wolfstar. Thunderclan is across the river. We are friendly with Thunderclan, since we aided them when some of their kits were taken. Windclan is further up the river from us, beyond the falls. Shadowclan? Once just a nasty neighbor and kit-thief, now they are part of Darkclan.

So close to the water, we are excellent swimmers, the only clan to say so, and our main prey is fish, but we also eat water voles, shrews, mice, and almost anything else we can catch. Our camp is surrounded by reeds. A tangle of reeds is the warriors’ den, next to the nursery for protection. The medicine cats are nearby, just pawsteps away. The elder’s den, occupied only by Silverback, is at the back of the camp, with a large empty space in front for the kits and any others to gather to hear his stories. Scarstar’s den is across from the warrior’s den. 

    Clan members include the leader Scarstar, a large gray she-cat with yellow eyes, and a jagged scar down the right side of her face. Her apprentice is Brownpaw
    Her deputy is Thorntail--ginger she-cat, with blue eyes; her apprentice is Cloverpaw
    The medicine cats are Lilycloud, a cream-colored she-cat, and her apprentice, Sungaze, a tom, gold pelt, with silver-blue eyes.
    There are plenty of warriors, some with mates, kits, and/or apprentices. They include:

Most importantly are the queens and their kits, the continuation of any clan. Those would be:

    Sunrise, an orange tabby with cream paw and blue eyes, mated to Smallflame, with kits Brightkit and Goldenkit, 2 orange-striped toms with blue eyes, and 
    Ivory, expecting; no kits yet, mated to Mossfur.

One elder lives with us, formerly from Longclan of the Farclans, a source of stories of history and wisdom for us. He is Silverback, a silver-blue tom with green eyes, long and thin body, and large paws. He has taken Cloudsky as his apprentice, but actually can include all kits and apprentices (and anyone else in hearing range)

    We have misplaced a member. She is Bramblepath, golden-brown tabby she-cat who adopted Smallflame, Swallowpaw, and Blizzardpaw; she was taken by Twolegs who thought she was lost; she got away but was too far to find her way home, so she lives elsewhere (May Starclan watch over her!); she is always in her kits’ thoughts.

    Every clan has its Starclan. Riverclan’s includes Bonemarrow, a pale white tom with eerie blue eyes who was formerly the medicine cat, and was killed by rogues,

     Dawnheart--she-cat ; killed by Wolfstar, 

     Ivyshadow, a she-cat torti, marked like Spottedleaf; killed by Nightheart,

     Darkkit, a torti male with no light spots; he led Smallkit to Riverclan, but regretfully was ignored, and so left the clan, and died chasing squirrel up tree (Branch broke and they both fell); he was found by Smallpaw and Thorntail, now looked after by Smallflame’s mom,

     Petalpaw, Smallflame’s biological mom, a petit tortoise-shell; she is with her kits and Darkkit in Starclan,

     and Blackkit and Shadowkit, Smallflame’s biological siblings, black twin toms; the 3 were chased and killed by their ‘new’ twolegs’ dogs.

    Our primary enemy is Darkclan, the joining of Shadowclan with some seriously nasty cats (yes, we have left part of canon, but there are still 4 clans since Shadowclan’s turf is now Darkclan’s). They have a huge chunk of territory, all of Shadowclan’s original territory, as well as land to the right (west) of Shadowclan turf, north of Thunderclan turf and northeast of Shadowclan turf. They are made up of rogues, former members of Leafclan, and defectors from the 4 clans. The known members are:
    Leader--Wolfstar, solid gray she, bright green eyes when not red (formerly Wolfkit of Leafclan, a rogue plant who helped destroy the clan, personally killing some members); Smallflame has promised Leafclan to kill her if he encounters her  again;
    Deputy--Gorseheart, ex-Riverclan apprentice; 
    Warriors--Sugarheart, a dark brown shecat with ink specks and ice-blue eyes
                     Dawnfur, brown tom, x-shadow
                     Nightheart, big inky-black tom, x-shadow

                     Blister--a scrawny tan she, last seen being chased by Swiftfur on Windclan territory Splashdown--a calico she with amber eyes

                     and an old wiry ex-queen, with amber eyes, ex-Windclan, and known to Crystalsong
   And there is one known apprentice, Skypaw, formerly of Windclan, and a pain to Smallflame

Darkclan has no medicine cats since a weakened cat is a liability to the clan and so will either heal his/herself or die. Nor do they have any kits since everyone is a fighter and hunter/thief, having no time for pregnancies or nursing. If they wish to expand (and, of course, they do), they simply threaten and acquire (as in Shadowclan) or steal kits to train too early as apprentices.

    Somewhat friendlier neighbors are Windclan and Thunderclan. Thunderclan, who we have a decent relationship with due to helping each other out at times, are led by Leafstar, a mottled tom. We haven’t met many of their clan except for a few warriors, and heard mention of queens and kits. The warriors include Sandcloud, a tom, Rushwind, and Mudcloud, a dusky she. Their queens include Airfur (with 3 kits), Silverfur, and Hummingbird. The kits include Moonkit, a tom we rescued, Maplekit, Thrushkit, and Hailkit


Further away from us is Windclan, and so we know less about them. We know their leader, Miststar, a large, light-blue-gray tom, aided by Brownclaw, a long brown she with distinctive claws. Their medicine cat is Dewfoot, and we’ve met 2 warriors, Swiftfur and Barkpelt. These 2 clans don’t intermingle with us much at meetings, so we don’t know them well.


Across the large thunderpath is the territory of the Farclans (as opposed to our Fourclans), only one of which still exists. The one we know about from stories is Longclan, once the largest and mightiest of any of the clans; Silverback was once from there. When he was a young apprentice under Dawnstar, his family was accused of kit-stealing and killing from other clans, and they even admitted it. All except Silverback, because of his mentor vouching for him, were driven out, to vanish from history. But the vanquished had the last laugh. A leafbare or 2 later, twolegs brought deadly sickness to the area. To escape, Cloudstar, Dawnstar’s deputy who succeeded her when she was killed by rogues, led the surviving clanmates north, where they broke up the clan, most members eventually becoming kittypets. Silverback stayed behind, befriending Leafclan, unwilling to leave his home, until a sparkly Dawnstar led him to Riverclan where he has a home, love, and respect, and where he has proved to be a great source of knowledge and inspiration.

Their Starclan includes;
      Dawnstar--Silverback’s mentor, a slender light brown she, killed by rogues, she later led Silverback to Riverclan, 
     Cloudstar--Dawnstar’s deputy, a gray tabby, he led the clan way north, and eventually died of old age after reaching safety, and
     Dreamwalker--a 3-year old torti she with white paws and green eyes. 
    They visit Silverback in his dreams, and also visit Dreamcloud, the granddaughter of Longclan cats

    Leafclan is the only one of the Farclans still around. Alone, they are vulnerable, but they’re tough and stubborn, remembering past grievances but also past allegiances. We and they have helped each other, so we’ve become good friends. It doesn’t hurt our relationship that we have common enemies. Smallflame’s mate Sunrise came fromLeafclan [Twoleg note--not my invention, so don’t blame me for the oddities, but I’m using them since they invited themselves into my world. Ranks are when last seen; may be updated]. 
    They are led by Bramblestar, cream-colored she with ice blue eyes. Her mate is unknown at this time, but she has 4 kits, Meadowpaw, Skylight, Orangepaw, and Volestep. 
    Her deputy is Duskpelt, a light brown tom with green eyes. 
    Their medicine cat is Nightwish, black she with green eyes. She has kits--Ratkit, Blackkit, Sunkit, Birdkit (yes, their medicine cats have mates and kits). Her mate is unknown. Her apprentice is Meadowpaw, a tortoise-shell she with gold eyes.
    The weirdness is with their warriors, some you would think of as catkillers but apparently not these ones. They include:

                Darkmist--dark gray tabby female and a helpful demon, deep red eyes
                Embershine--dark red fox, glowing amber eyes
                Skylight--light gray tom, vibrant blue
                Volestep--gray-brown tom, bright green
                Darkpelt--chocolate tom, originally a loner
                Splashdawn--a female calico with amber eyes, originally a loner 
                Thistlepelt--a long gray tom with dark green eyes

Their queens include:
                Spottedfur--white with blue-amber eyes [trying to picture that color; remember I didn’t create that cat], with kits Bluekit and Snowpaw 
              Fallingflower--reddish-brown with white petal spots, with yellow eyes, and kits 
                     Downykit and Floweringkit 
               Cometmist--white with silver stripes, with emerald green eyes
                Brightspirit--a silver tabby with black stripes and icy blue eyes

Their apprentices include:
         Orangepaw--orange tabby she with emerald green eyes,    
         Snowpaw--a white she with pale blue eyes, and 
         Logpaw--a dark brown tom with green eyes
         Maplepaw--light brown tom, amber eyes 
         Leafpaw--white she, blue eyes (Snow-covered leaf, maybe? )

Their kits imclude:
         Bluekit--blue -gray she with blue-green eyes 
         Brookkit (to be Song)--a light brown she with hazel eyes 
         Brokenkit--a ginger she with a crooked tail and blue eyes 
         Downykit--a gray tom with blue eyes 
         Floweringkit--a white she with gray streaks and blue eyes 
         Waterkit--a she        
         Owlkit--a dark brown tom with white spots and dark brown eyes 
         Rabbitkit--a gray she with white paws and deep blue eyes

    Their Starclan includes Snowstar (leader), Sandwave, Graydawn, Stoneheart, Snowdapple, Cloverpaw, Leafdapple (elder), Graykit, Fawnkit, Brightkit   

    Last but not least are 2 who were a part of Riverclan for a time but then returned to the mountains to the west. They are Dragonpaw, a flamepelt tom with amber eyes, and Flowermeadow, a torti and white she with blue eyes. From the Tribe of Endless Rock, neighbors of the Tribe of Rushing Water, they were welcomed into the clan, but got homesick and left [The twolegs playing them up and vanished without a word].
