Version one of Darker then the Night is finished, edited, and being posted currently. I am going to be writing a better v2 that will soon be uploaded where you can read it, and a sequel is planned. 
Backstories of some of the characters are being written and will be posted, too!

Description:
Lotus is a normal girl who lives in a sleepy little village. When she's visited by a strange, huge wolf, her life changes forever.
What if magic was real? What if a dark and deadly spell was real? What if the destruction of the realm was going to happen? What if Lotus was the stated hero of the prophecy?
When brought into her new life, Lotus must learn to quickly adapt and look for a way to stop the deadly spell that is soon to be unleashed upon the whole realm. A prophecy says it will make everything a wasteland and kill everyone. Yet as time goes on, she learns more truths as dark, morbid beasts begin their plight on the realm. The man who started this all must be killed, there is no other way to end it. But how to stop the spell?
Lotus and her new friends turn desperate as she still hasn't been shown how to fulfill the prophecy, and people are being killed. Will the chosen hero be shown what to do in time, or will all succumb to a darkness darker then the night?
Though the other descriptions are good, this one is probably the most accurate, honestly. x) I'll include the prologue down below, and if you're interested, at the end there are links to the story. The one (first) from Wattpad will give you three chapters, while the (second) from writerscafe will only include two.
I'm probably going to be more active on writerscafe seeing Wattpad is nearly impossible to gain reads on. :\

Prologue
Panting, the creature stood still after its long run. She would be needed soon, but not yet. When she was older he would draw her to her rightful place. Flashes of thought raced through his mind, and he shook his head. But a scene still managed to capture him in his mind’s eye.
Wide, terrified honey-colored eyes. A voice screaming and howling for help that never came. A body lying on the ground. Eyes that looked up at his, captivating as the nighttime skies above. A low, raspy voice as blood trickled out of her mouth.
“The darkness of night will fall upon the earth, and all living things will die. The world will no longer be a world but a wasteland. No hope shall be found except of the one who is unknown of everything, including themselves. Seek them out will be seeking out hope, ignoring will be death. Choose...”
He felt such deep anguish. She will never come back, she is no more. And the thought hurts him more than the wounds he bears now. He looks up at the innocent dark sky, and wonders. A question loomed before him: will he search for this hope or abandon all thoughts of living? He knew what to do. Glancing back down at the body, he silently began to weep.
“I will come back, now that I have found you,” He whispers into the night. “There is simply no choice, I can never turn my back on you.” And he stared off at the lone little house, all its windows dark.
