I don't think she's useless, but I still feel like what she did was awkward because she chose not to hunt or fight in a world where that is expected of everyone (who isn't the old or the sick, anyway). She did fight during the DF battle, but that was out of necessity...

I think Daisy is a kind a likable character. It wasn't her fault that Cloidtail payed attention to her and left Brightheart sad. Cloudtail should have been thinking about Brightheart a little more. I also felt bad for her when Spiderleg said he never wanted kits and then just left her. A lot of people say she is useless, but she is NOT. She helps raise and take care of kits,which is a wonderful thing. No kit should die or get hurt.

I'm going against the tide here and saying that I hate her. Maybe it's because I read TNP when I was an angsty middle schooler, but I didn't see any point to her character. She just kinda hangs in the nursery and doesn't do anything else. Even when there are no kits in the Clan, she's still in the nursery. For a bunch of Clans who complain when a new cat joins them, they were surprisingly okay with her.
