HELICONIACLAN;;
territory;;
In a certain forest a large flock of macaws live. This makes a wonderful hunting spot and cats can hunt these macaws if they can catch them. It could serve as a wonderful relaxation spot however as there is a group of trees with branches that seem to drop down in a dip. This is known as the hanging pass and can be use to leap from tree to tree and watch the macaws fly around.
Snake Pass could be an hidden and thick area that makes it perfect for predators especially snakes. It is defined by the windy path that makes it. There is a certain drop off that is highly dangerous because during certain seasons snakes tend to crawl in that area. The pit that is located behind two large rocks is to be avoided at all times. It is known as the Snake Pit. This area should be avoided at all times.
Somewhere on one of the rivers that helps feed the Delta there is a small pool that is off to the side. This is consider the calmest area and there is often huge lily pads floating around the area. It makes a perfect area to hunt, but one must be careful about predators such boas lurking about. During wet seasons this area should be avoided as this is one of the common places to flood. On good days it is one of the safer places to swim, but always be alert. Never swim however on wet seasons due to the floods.
In a certain area there is a drop off thanks to a steep hill. Below it is a rapid river that is part of the Delta system. Here is where you will find the more dangerous predators including snakes and piranhas. The area can provide some food as prey like to hide in the thick areas, but one wrong slip and you are a goner. Apprentices are banned from this area and it is recommended that other cats don't go here either. However if one decide to go then they must inform the leader that they are going here. Herbs can be found here as well.
There is a large tree that has many large roots. These roots are often tangled with each other and above them is a large hollow opening. One must climb in order to reach it. On the other side is an open area with some thick areas on the outside. The trees are safe for climbing and the thickness around the entrance and the fact one must climb through through a hole that can easily fit a cat makes it a protected area. This is the training place for apprentices. There are some herbs found here as well.
camp;; The camp is defined by the open space between a group of trees. Unlike the training grounds, the life around this spot seems to have died leaving a baron spot around these trees. The best defense this camp has is by how hidden it is. There are many paths that could lead to this spot as well as many others. The natural thickness of the Rainforest can also cause potential threats trouble. However once someone finds the camp they are in, but being able to reach the cats is different story. Due to the dangers of being on the ground these cats prefer to live among the treetops. As such there are several nests that are hidden within the trees that make up this area.
The leader's den is defined by a large old tree. The tree is known as the Twisting Ancient as according to elders this tree has been here since the dawn of time for Heliconiaclan. The tree curves towards the base of its trunk and continues to lean towards an angle. In addition the way the trunk was form appears to have extra branches growing on it that create twists and spirals. The tree is the shortest one among the trees here, but tall enough that the leader will still be out of harms way. In addition the tree provides the meeting spot where the leader makes announcements. Towards the end of the tree there are a group of vines. These vines have manage to become so tangled that it has basically form a hammock. The leader will sit on these vines and make announcements from there. It can also serve as a relaxation spot as with enough force the leader can make these vines swing back and forth and rest within it. However most of the time the leader sleeps within the hollow hole within the tree's core.
The Warrior's Den is actually several trees combined. There are three trees that are connected together through their branches. This is because these branches have grown close enough to form a bridge. Sometimes refer as the Triplets due to how closely connected they are. There is no holes within any of these trees, but the branches provide sturdy support and are large enough to fit several cats on them. The protection that these trees provide is through the thickness of the treetops. For the most part that helps keep off the rain. During Leaf-bare or colder days the Warriors will simply bunch up together to keep warm.
The Apprentice's Den only provides two places to sleep. Unlike the Triplets these trees are literally conjoined together. Known as the Twins these trees are conjoined at the base of their trunks and spread outwards away from each other. The treetops are still rather thick so it does provide protection. Apprentices tend to fight over rights to be inside of the trees because these trees actually do have hollow holes. One hole is towards the lower half of one tree while the other is towards the top. They are large enough to fit a few apprentices, but they cannot hold everyone. Those that fail to claim a spot within the tree must sleep outside. Luckily the tree provides sturdy supporting branches for this and some intermingle with the other branches from the other tree.
The Nursery has a tree that is considered the thickest and widest of the trees. It is defined by the giant spilt that has formed within it giving access to more rooms. Since the Nursery allows queens and kits to be within the tree itself it provides the most protection. The tree is on the lower status as far as height is concern, but the branches and the easy grip on the trunk provides a way for Queens to climb up without it being too stressful.
The Elders' Den is rather simple. It is simply a large tree with a gaping hole in the center. It is consider the largest hollow hole among the trees with the Nursery and one of the hollow holes for the Medicine Cat den right behind it. It is not too tall in height so it is easy for Elders to climb up with ease, but also stay away from danger.
Finally there is the Medicine Cat Den. While all of the trees provides some level of moss this one is consider the most abundant making it useful for creating new bedding. This tree has two gaping holes within it. The first one is towards the top of the tree, which is where the medicine cat and their apprentice stay. There is a gaping hole located to where the tree's branches start to spilt outwards. This allows water to easily come in and fill up a small dent within the inside of the tree. The medicine cats themselves sleep in the area where there is a small room away from the gaping hole. It provides some protection from the wind and rain. The second is actually towards the bottom of the tree meaning any patients that rest there are on the ground. This is one of the largest of hollow holes provided in this camp. The Medicine Cat Den is quite valuable in this regard because there may be chances where a cat is simply too injured to climb up to safety. To provide extra protection the bottom hole is hidden away as much as possible with brambles and other materials. The herbs are not stored within the actual medicine cat den. In fact there is rock close to the den that has a hidden path underneath the rock. It is believed that some animal long ago made a burrow to access the inside of this hollow rock as there are no openings on the actual rock. It has been maintain ever since to prevent it from closing. Once one manages to crawl underneath and climbs out within the rock the herbs are stored in shelves and on the ground. It was decided to make this the herb storage as there isn't any places to store the herbs in the actual medicine den.
