With the current direction Alibaba Pictures is taking the Warriors move, I have a lot less doubt than I did before. Alibaba is a newer film company, but has taken part in popular films such as "Star Trek 3: Beyond" and the upcoming movie "BFG." I think the animation in "BFG" will be a good baseline for the quality of animation we should expect in the Warriors film(s). The director they have chosen is David Heymann, who has directed "Fantastic Beasts and where to find them" and Oscar winning: "Gravity". He was also the produce of such films as the original "Harry Potter" films, "The Boy in Stripped Pajamas", and "I am Legend." We can see the last few films Heymann did had a darker tone to them. This clears up the common fear that the Warrior Cats movie will be too family friendly and try and skip out on the darker tones in the story.
Alibaba pictures closed video submissions on the 6th of last month (seen in another WCRP thread goo.gl/cva6Zr). As of now all we can hope is the community has done its part to positively influence the film, and sit and wait for whats in store for the future.
