Rainflower and Crookedstar

I think Rainflower might have turned out differently, but I'm not sure how much the relationship could have been mended at that point (considering it had been damaged to the point where she was no longer with her mate and her son temporarily left the clan). I guess she might turn out differently, but only if someone was there very early on (e.g. as soon as the injury occurred).

As for Crookedstar, I think it would have been okay. There are plenty of parents in the series who grieve over lost loved ones, only to understand how much damage the grief can do to everyone, or turn out to be good parents despite what happened. I think Crookedstar would have turned out like that, especially since he knows how rejection feels like because of his mother. And I also wonder if the reason he acted the way he did was because of his guilt of indirectly causing her mother's death (being cursed by Mapleshade).

As for Silverstream, assuming her father didn't come around, I think she would be constantly frustrated and wanting his approval. The relationship with Graystripe or even some other outsider might've happened much earlier and much more quickly, because she could not find acceptance in her own Clan. Her father probably wouldn't know, instead of her being very comfortable with telling him. And, assuming she survived the events, she probably would switch Clans as soon as she could in hopes of finding new acceptance in the forms of a mate and a new family.
