(Hmm...thinking up signs is hard. We could do blood on a cedar branch. Maybe it falls in front of whoever receives the sign? Cedar's past life was as Bloodmoon. Could be a bloody moon carved in cedar, but I'm not sure anyone would understand that. If its a sign for Cliffheart, maybe a dream about a darkening cliff? The stars could go out above it? Or....)

Sounds good, Moon!) Runningsplash raced along the creek's edge, the tom still having an unusually slim build for a RiverClan cat. He enjoyed feeling the cool breeze in his starry pelt as it calmed him. He paused at the sight of Rosefrost. He never knew the she-cat while he was alive, but he wondered what she was up to. "Hello, Rosefrost," he greeted. "Are you enjoying the creek?" “I always do, Runningsplash.” Rosefrost perked up when she spotted one of her clanmates. She took in a breath. “It calms me, when things start to feel all gloomy, and tense. Surely you’re feeling it too, right?” She asked. Runningsplash slipped into the creek, the feeling of the water flowing through his fur. "I admit that I am... and I've seen a lot happen in RiverClan since I joined StarClan." he said. "I'm worried that it's going to fall into darkness once again. I... saw it all with Adderstar, I don't want to see that happen again..." |

"Ah. Why not have a cedar branch or a small cedar sapling fall from a ledge or cliff? It can land before one of them while they are patrolling." Raggedthorn offered, looking thoughtful. "Something telling. Surely some cat will be clever enough to recognize signs if they're happening often enough?"
Rosefrost shook her head quickly. "We survived Adderstar before, we can't let it happen again. The clans are depending on us to guide them, but not even we can determine what exactly may happen, can we? I hear there's brewing trouble at the Moonstone too, but something we've never seen before. The medicine cats are adamant that something is wrong." She fretted.

"ShadowClan's territory is full of cedar pines. After the fire, they'll be expecting some to fall. Unfortunately, there are no cliffs or ledges in ShadowClan's territory either. We need another way to make it obvious enough, they'll understand its a sign. Perhaps a vision after the branch falls? The ground cracking in front of them? Elevating them to a high cliff with blackness in its depths?"

Lionshade nodded in agreement with Northstar's idea. "It will take an large amount of our energy, but we'll be happy to help make it happen." "Shadowclan can't afford it's leadership and senior warriors to be troubled, not now." Raggedthorn nodded, looking at Northstar with an urgent gaze. "I see her sometimes. Slinking along the border between Starclan and the Dark Forest. Even now, Ambershade holds that vile obsession, over your downfall, in any way she can. I imagine she'll try to recruit any Shadowclan cat she can get her claws on." He closed his eyes. |

Northstar nodded her appreciation. "I'm glad to have all your support. We must keep ShadowClan vigilant. I believe Cardinalblaze would be the best cat to send the sign too. He is not so young that the senior warriors won't listen to him. He also has Cedarstar's and Cliffheart's respect, attachments to Falcontalon and several other members of the Clan. With his sign and the prophecy to Snowdance, I'm hopeful we'll be able to keep ShadowClan from falling to the Dark Forest. ShadowClan resisted the Dark Forest the first time they rose up. Adderstar probably has Ambershade conducting some plot to destroy us for good, but ShadowClan will not yield if I have anything to say about it."

"He's a sensible tom. Cedarstar taught him well." Raggedthorn nodded, having watched the clan grow around him. He looked at Northstar and mewed. "If it revolves around Cedarstar, there is no doubt he would take it seriously, and Cliffheart's attachment in that regard will be able to be considered to. I say we go for it." He gave a determined nod.

"Of course, Northstar. Always." Raggedthorn murmured lightly, a friendly look filling his eyes. "I missed being your Warrior, Northstar, even after all those moons. We'll get this done, for Shadowclan."
"For Shadowclan." Lionshade echoed his father's sentiments, looking nearly identical next to him as they stood beside eachother. Lilacbreeze swept to the side, mewing as she began to pad down towards the rest of their clanmates. "I'm going to go find Stormkit and Silverkit. A mother's job never ends." She purred fondly.

StarClan could communicate through dreams, but severing the connection between the living through the Moonstone would prevent leaders from getting nine lives and medicine cats from getting StarClan's blessing. "That doesn't sound good. A threat to the Moonstone could destroy the Clans," he fretted. "I wish I could go down there and see myself, but that's obviously not possible." An idea formed in his mind as he spoke. Could we send a warning? "Is there a chance we could have a living cat go there?"

"I have a connection to Earthstar. I was wondering if I should try and warn him," he said. Not all StarClan cats had the power to send signs - he certainly didn't, but he could always tell his son that danger was approaching.

Softmist sighed, watching down on Shadowclan with a frown. She glanced at Swiftleap, wondering what the other she-cat thought about the continuous feud between her sons. Seeing the kits she had helped raise plagued with such tension hurt her deeply. Her gaze shifted to the unruly brown lump at the corner of camp. Her frown deepened as she gazed upon her only son by blood. He had been suffering for so long, when would he see that she and the rest of Starclan were not out to get him?

Swiftleap watched her sons with sadness. She never got time with them or Kinkfire. Closesky had to name them without her. She only recently got to meet Cedarstar when she gave him one of his nine lives. Swiftleap shook her head. Closesky had done all he could for their kits, but Closesky could not replace their mother. "I feel so helpless watching them. My family...falling apart." She saw the way Kinkfire sneered at her brothers. Swiftleap noticed that her daughter saw herself better than her brothers. Not to mention her feminine side was lacking.
